Hi, I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend. I went to my OB last week and she told me that I was ovulating. And then my boyfriend accidentally ejaculated inside of me. After 20hrs I took the first 4 pills, and took the next 4 an hour late (because I fell asleep). Help me please? Is there a possibility I could get pregnant? Please, I'm really scared.

Hi.. m jenny.
I just wanna ask if taking nordete was still effectve. we do last oct 3 then i took the pill by oct 5.. Thats exactly 48 hrs.
But i didnt bleed after 7 days .m xpecting that i will bled last oct.12 but didnt.
Is it okay? Until now.
But then we do again but oct 13.. Was it okay and still effective.?

Hi tracey. If you are indeed negativ in your preg test then the ecp really altered your cycle. 3 months is the usual but some goes normal earlier.

So is it okay if you are missing your monthly period? It means that everything will back to normal again after 3 months of taking the ecp?

Hi tracey. Did you repeat your preg test? Sometimes it goes to normal in 3 months time. Thats why ecps are really not recommended unless needed. For emergency purposes only because it can alter your cycle.

Hi tracey. Yes try it after 10 days just to be sure. If its nega, then youre not pregnant since it would be a month already and if its positive, its gonna turn out positive. Cross your fingers. Lets just hope that even without ecp, sometimes penetration do not really make babies. There are really many factors to get preggy, thats why ever wonder why is it that many women do not get preg easily? Its because even if w penetration, they may be stressed, or some overweight -- many factors rendering them unpreg even with penetration. Si hopefully you are one of them. But lets wait for the test.

Yup, still no bleeding. Its been 14 days since I took the first dose. Is there a possibility that I am pregnant? But I took PT on the first day I missed my period and it's nega. I am planning to take test again after 10 days as you suggested

Hi tracey. Ecps can alter a women's cycle. It disorients the normal hormonal cycle. Thats why its not recommended to take ecps always. If you are sexually active, you can take the regular oral contraceptive pills because it can regulate your cycle since you take it continously and not just for 2 days like you do with ecp.

Still no bleed whatsoever?

Hi tracey, if you are really anxious and if its affecting your well being, you can ask a laboratory for blood hcg. It will be able to detect the enzyme hcg even in small quantity. Sometimes the preg test kits urine have different kind of quality control levels. Urine test kits are also accurate but it should detect a certain level of amount in your urine to make it positive while in the blood test, even a small quantity of hcg will turn out positive in the blood exAm. So its your call. Do it after 10 days or do the blood exam. Really not a routine however to request for it since most pregnancy urine tests will detect it in the right time.

Hi tracey. Its a big possibility that the pill ruined your cycle. Just to be sure that the preg test is accurate, do it 10 days after your missed period because if its too early, there might be a possibility that the preg test will not detect the enzyme HCG responsible for pregnancy. BUT If you are really pregnant, sometimes the preg test will not be able to detect if its too early because the enzymes are not that in big quantity. Thats why its just better to retest after 10 days just to be sure. Literatures and studies also mentioned it. But we just cross our fingers that the ecp worked and that the delay on your withdrawal bleeding is just a tweak on your cycle.

This is the 3rd day since I missed a period. Why can you say too early? Its been 2 weeks already after we had unprotected sex. I think the pills didnt work that's why I didnt experience withdrawal bleeding and it only ruined my menstrual cycle.

Hi tracey, You still do not have bleeding up to now? Test 10 days after your missed period to be sure. If you still do not have bleeding up to now and your pt is nega, it might not be so accurate because it may still be early.

hi tracey, your previous message stated that you deed on the 19th 11pm, then on sep20 at 3 pm you took the first dose. i think thats only 16 hours after your deed and not 107 hours as you have mentioned. if thats so, you should expect bleeding soon. if you do the preg test now, it wont be accurate since in the test, they measure the HCG hormones which are detected in the urine. if you test yourself early, the test wont be able to detect them thereby causing inaccurate results. so you wait for a week perhaps after your missed period then do the PT.

We had the deed sept 19 around 11pm and I took the first dose sept 20 3pm. Why not take a pregnancy test now? I already missed one day of my period

Hi tracey. Your concern is a scary thing we all have been with that feeling thats why we have a thread here to voice out inquiries. Theoretically, you are unprotected on your ovulation day (plus minus) The dilemna adds to your anxiety because you did not take the ecp as soon. May i know what date exactly did you take nordette? Dont you have any withdrawal bleeding yet? This should come 7-10 days ( sometimes 12-14 days the longest) for withdrawal bleeding. Whether you become Pregnant that we cannot say although as ive said, nordette WOULD still work beyond 72 hrs. Hope you are one of them. If after your expected day of mens and still without any sign of bleeding, count 10 days aftrr then do preg test. Dont do it now yet.
