Hi, I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend. I went to my OB last week and she told me that I was ovulating. And then my boyfriend accidentally ejaculated inside of me. After 20hrs I took the first 4 pills, and took the next 4 an hour late (because I fell asleep). Help me please? Is there a possibility I could get pregnant? Please, I'm really scared.

Hi. My boyfriend and I are planning to have protected sex on the 19th of march. I'm planning to take nordette after. But what concerns me is that 10 is two or three days before my expected period. Will nordette still be effective if i take it 2 days before my expected period?

@pandaa im not sure about taking nordette without the indication or the need to take it beforehand. If you plan to have deed on the 19th, then within 70 hours after the deed, just take it with 2 doses 12 hrs apart. That would be better rather than taking it beforehand.

@chummy i think you can get it at mercury or watsons but im not sure if you can get without an rx. You can ask their pharmacist.

Hello. I was able to buy nordette over the counter at mercury drug store. I bought it last february of this year. You can try buying them at mercury drug :)

@ana there are many reasons and factors as to why you have delayed menses. First, it may due to nordette and the side effects. How many times have you taken nordette after the wb last month? If none, then did u deed protected? If theres no deed and you still missed your period, it may be hormonal or nordette just ruined it because it can. If you deed without protection and without nordette { take note: im referring the time after you had your wb last month} then you can consider doing preg test to be sure since its consider a missed period. Wb sometimes are counted as menses, so you have to jot down and note your cycle once you take nordette coz it may be tricky since nordette is a hormone which you took in large doses and which can act as ecp. And that large dose would somehow alter your hormones thus irregular mens but its really a case to case basis and each person reacts differently.

@ana when and when {3x} did you take nordette? And the date of your last wb? As ive mentioned, nordette is a hormone which can alter your cycle.

Hi guys i just wanna know how long does nordette's side effects last? I took nordette twice last month and had i think wb or period last march 3-7. Ive been feeling headaches sometimes and tiredness as well as mood swings and i sometimes get so hungry and sometimes i avoid food.

@herra side effects of nordette or any other hormones given in huge amount as the amount in ecps will have different duration of side effects depending on many factors. It may be caused by body weight or how many times you took it. The lesser frequency would mean lesser duration and the more frequent you take more time for you to adjust. So maybe what you are experiencing right now maybe due to the more than frequent intake of nordette. You will go back to normal when you dont resume nordette as ecp.

Hi! My period started on March 14 lasted until March 17 which is friday. Saturday midnight, we had sex and the condom broke. I took the first 4 pills at Sunday, 3am and the next 4 after 12 hrs.

Questions:
1. Is there a high chance i will get pregnant?
2. What am I going to do with the remaining pills after I consumed 8?

@ana if you did not deed after your last wb then most plausible cause would be nordette altering your cycle. Just rest from nordette for a while to let your cycle be on a regular basis again.

@cole you deed on your 5th day of mens. If you have a regular cycle, then its not possible to get pregnant based on calendar days. Plus the fact that you took ecp on the right dosage, all the more that there is a smallest chance of getting pregnant. The remaining pills will remain with you unless youll throw it away. Its really your decision in the long run. But remember that ecp is an emergency measure. Its not recommended to take it as frequent as you like since it will mess up your cycle and many side effects will occur with that. If you like to have a regular ocp, you should have proper medical consultation first.
