Effectivity Of Nordette Contraceptive (Page 19)

Hi, I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend. I went to my OB last week and she told me that I was ovulating. And then my boyfriend accidentally ejaculated inside of me. After 20hrs I took the first 4 pills, and took the next 4 an hour late (because I fell asleep). Help me please? Is there a possibility I could get pregnant? Please, I'm really scared.

As of this day feb 23, she had some very light spotting and dis has happened twice already, she had her spotting too last feb 20, and from articles ive read the cause of spotting could be pregnancy, is the chances low for her pregnant? Please help as we are really worried about this, thanks again!

@jedboi from the history you mentioned and with so many intake of ecps, i think her cycle is really messed up. Based on your data, i lean more on nordette side effects rather than spotting due to pregnancy because i think your intake of nordette so many times wont have a chance for the uterine wall to be of nutrient for implantation thus it is not advantageous to anything wanting to implant there to thrive. And since our body is regulated by hormones, drastically adding more than whats enough will give reactions like tiredness sometimes even emotional ones. So its really not healthy to take ecp like vitamins.

Hi. I had sex with someone at exactly 1 pm pero he pulled out naman but takot kami pareho so pag uwi ko nag search ako then yun binilhan niya ko ng nordette. Nag search din ako about sa instructions. Kinabukasan ng 8 am nagtake ako ng 2. Pero dapat pala 4, ngayon ko lang nalaman kaya mamayang 8pm magtatake ako ng 4. Pwede ba kong mag take ng 6 mamaya or ipag pa bukas ko na lang ng 8 am yung 2? Please answer me.

@spazebun if you took nordette at 8 am with only 2 tabs, take 2 more as soon as you remember now. So take it now. Then after 12 hours which 8 pm tonight, take the 4. I based it on the mechanism of taking missed doses of regular ocps. So dont overdose by taking 6 in one sitting, the side effects will be harder to cope.

Still active? My gf and had sex two days before her expected period. Then she took the ecp pills after around 60hours after the deed. And its already 5 days since the pill was takensnd still no bleeding.

@nate hi. Some withdrawal bleed occurs more than 5 days. Some at 15 days. So just wait. If you take the right dose 4 tabs then after 12 hrs another 4 tabs, it should occur.

@jedboi when you take any hormone, it will create a side effect. And one of the side effect of nordette (a hormone) is withrawal bleed. Its like mens, the lining sloughs thereby preventing any implantation that may happen because it makes the environment not conducive anymore but take note that if theres fertilization already, nordette will not stop pregnancy. So its just an emergency pill and not the other way around pill. Feb14 protected deed. Feb 20 (thats 12 days after the last wbleed) spotting and deed, took nordette right? After 4 days spotting again. I think the more you take nordette, the more you bleed, the more regularity of mens wont come. It will be hard to know when you are fertile again. So right now, its always barrier method to be protected. Taking nordette will affect the cycle lest you wont have the right knowledge of the real cycle anymore. After this, rest nordette. Make the cycle regular first. Then consider regular pills if sexually active. Its for peace of mind too. Im leaning towards side effects more than pregnancy.

@calendargirl Hi it's me again.

I just want to ask if there are cases wherein those who took nordette will experience vomiting after? My gf had her period/wb last Feb 17, and just earlier this day she vomited twice.

Not to be rude but I don't understand the lack of responsibility when knowing the potential outcome...birth control. Dang.....I hate this for you but it's so unfair to the innocent fetus...surely I will be verbally assaulted but this is for any and everyone having sex..be responsible...we all know the Rusk and possible outcome..how is this fair to the voiceless? I hope everything worked out well for you. I'm not judging you by any means..just wish people took this more seriously and carefully.

@doods usually nordette side effects like vomiting occurs few hours after and not this late. Maybe its not nordette related.

@bellableu, thanks for your input. Everyone has the right to say out their opinion. Since this is a thread of nordette, an emergency pill and since this is about sharing their inquiries about nordette and how to go about it, people reading the thread really has concerns about nordette. Nordette is not an abortion pill if you are asking. If there is fertilization, nordette will not stop it. There are even lits stating that nordette will not have an effect on a pregnancy if there is one already. It will not stop pregnancy if it had occurred already. Its contrasting to other pills like cytotec which will contract the uterus to expel a developing fetus. Nordette will ONLY inhibit ovulation and not stop pregnancy from happening if it has happened. The withdrawal bleeding will make it look to anyone like there's an abortion-like effect cause its blood coming out after taking a med. Nordette is a hormone so the side effect of this huge amount of intake would cause the lining to bleed as like a menses. Yes taking nordette is a birth control method and an emergency one and the preference of these people taking it. As to what intention these takers have, the issue of nordette as an ecp is discussed here and up to this extent only. Maybe its the culture, lack of knowledge or whatsoever and the list and issues and argument will go on since birth control methods and the society has to tackle so many confounding factors that goes with it. But in this thread, we limit to nordette intake and inquiries/concerns and sharing only. Thank you bellableu.

@Mike, I think available pa sya sa mercury pero im not sure if you need an rx for that. You can call and inquire from them. Maybe somebody from the thread could give you an answer for this too.

@doods i think its not nordette related. Hormonal symptoms with ecp would occur at most 2wks but not that long or after 4 weeks. Maybe its another thing.

Hi guys, my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex last saturday March 4th, though he didn't finish inside me, I was worried about the pre-cum. I took Nordette March 5th at around 5pm and March 6th, 5 am. After taking the first dose I was feeling a little nauseous but I don't know if it was from the pill. The side effects I noticed were my acne and I'm a little bloated than usual. I don't know if my sleepiness is caused by my habits. Anyway, March 6th I had small amounts of brown discharges and now, March 7th I have white discharges. How will I know if my ECP worked?

@deanna hi most probably its the side effect of nordette. You can expect bleeding in 5-7 days after the first dose.
