Effectivity Of Nordette Contraceptive (Page 10) (Top voted first)

Hi, I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend. I went to my OB last week and she told me that I was ovulating. And then my boyfriend accidentally ejaculated inside of me. After 20hrs I took the first 4 pills, and took the next 4 an hour late (because I fell asleep). Help me please? Is there a possibility I could get pregnant? Please, I'm really scared.

@calendargirl Hi yesterday she felt like already having a period because she experience abdominal pain and other symptoms for getting a period suppose to be her period will be next week :) is this a good sign? or could this be implantation bleeding?

@kix since taking 2 pills may just be the dosage for regular ocp, you really would not experience any side effects at all unlike in emergency contraception wherein you take 8 pills totAl. So with 8 pills youll surely experience the effects. With only 2, maybe no effect felt even dysmennorhea.

@calendargirl what i meant was i've taken nordette as ECP with complete dosage before and haven't felt anything unusual aside from bloating tho.

@calendargirl aside from that, i noticed that my dysmenorrhea's gone after taking it as ecp before. I usually experience dysmenorrhea every period.

@kix you might want to start regular ocp so that your cycle will be regulated at the same time protected. Sometimes taking hormonal pill will regulate even the effects. Really depends on the body's reaction though.

@kix each reacts differently. Some do not even have any side effects felt. Its normal.

@alvin i am more keen on withdrawal bleeding rather than implantation bleed. 1st : she took nordette within the time frame. 2nd: no ejac inside. If she is on day16 when you deed but she has regular 28 days cycle, most prob she may not be ovulating. Implantation bleed occurs 6-12 to 15 days after ovulation.

@alvin i think failure rate would depend on many factors. Nordette does not stop established pregnancy or if implantation has already occured. Nordette just inhibits ovulation so that there will be a delay in ovulation thus pregnancy wont occur because the hormones 8 pills of that is strong enough to cause changes not conducive to pregnancy. Not abortive.

Hi. This is kynie. My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex last Nov. 9 at 10pm but he withdraw it before ejaculation. I'm afraid it is within my mid cycle or ovulation period. I took Nordette Nov. 11 at 7:30am and will take the second dose at 7:30pm. Is it possible to be pregnant? I'm just scared about the pre-cum because that's what my boyfriend could not control. @alvin this is her withdrawal bleeding. Some readings state that you can count it as your first day. But take note that the cycle days will not be as regular for up to the next cycle because it was altered by nordette.

@kynie, you took nordette 33 hrs after your deed. It is within the golden time frame. So right now you should be positive that nordette will delay ovulation. Since he withdrew it and precum are rarely impregnators becoz they dont contain sperm, lets wait for your withdrawal bleeding after 7-12 days depending on your body reeaction. Even if its within your ovulation dAy, you did your Assignment with nordette. If theres really withdrawal, then more chances of not getting pregnant at all. So we wait for your bleeding to occur as ive mention. Update us again

@calendargirl i mean she did not bleed yet she is just experiencing the signs of having menstruation for 3 days abdominal cramps feeling sleepy cravings and feeling tired all the time what do you think about this? Please reply

@alvin withdrawal bleed will occur within the coming days. Yes signs of cramps, sleepiness will occur because of nordette's effect on the body.
