Effectivity Of Nordette Contraceptive (Page 11) (Top voted first)

Hi, I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend. I went to my OB last week and she told me that I was ovulating. And then my boyfriend accidentally ejaculated inside of me. After 20hrs I took the first 4 pills, and took the next 4 an hour late (because I fell asleep). Help me please? Is there a possibility I could get pregnant? Please, I'm really scared.

@calendargirl is white discharge that is occuring normal to her? Because supposed to be her mens will be nxt week :) are we safe? Is it normal that she felt the side effects late like her? But she already felt it after the 2nd dose and nxt day it disappeared and now she is experiencing it again Please reply

@alvin yes most probably its the withdrawal bleeding due to nordette. The sudden effect is the effect of her body with nordette since they contain hormones. It will turn red in the coming days.

@calendargirl update about her yesterday she had that few brown discharge but then today when she woke up there is no brown discharge but more white discharge is it normal effect of nordrette? should we still expect the WB this coming days? ty please reply :)

@alvin yes most probably it is mimicking the menstruation cycle likr cramps and sl brown discharge. What day is it today fr the first dosage of nordette?

@alvin yes it may be the withdrawal bleeding and mens at the same time since nordette may alter a cycle and regular montHly mens duration may change a bit. So its quite impt to take note of the bleeding days.

@alvin yes this can be counted as her first though some may experience interbleeding between days its so becoz nordette will alter yoir cycle a bit so it may b hard to calculate your ovulation via cycle days. Thats really the dilemna. So always have barrier but remember that ecps are not advisable to take in all the time. If youre sexually active, ocp is an option coz that way, menstrual cycle is regulated as well. Youre welcome.

36 days since deed
33 days since taking Nordette
27 days since withdrawal bleeding

Breast tenderness began 11 Nov
Cervix was still closed on Nov 12
Vaginal discharge has become mostly dry

The symptoms seem to concur with PMS but past experience was that breast tenderness occurred one to two days before the start of period so it's taking its time.

@ldr19 i think its another upcoming cycle to be monitored. I think nordette altered the duration of symptoms. Thank you for your update.

Update: I started showing pms signs last saturday po like moodiness, bloating, acne, at increase in vaginal discharge. Does this mean that my real period is coming na po?

@calendargirl is there a chance that nordette will fail? Because aside from having a pimple, I haven't experienced any side effects nor signs of having menstruation. Btw, it's my 5th day after taking up nordette.

@kynie some do not experience any other symptoms at all. Some do not have withdrawal bleed but other symptoms only though its not common not to have one. Since its your 5th day, you still have to observe up to 12-15 days at most for the bleeding.

@michael hormones play different roles sa system ng tao. Isa na ang mood swings. Nordette is a hormone so you can expect those things.

Withdrawal Bleeding 18 Oct and ended 20 Oct
Heavy sticky discharge was observed 2 Nov
Breast Tenderness was observed 11 Nov
