Taking 10mg. Amlodipine per day. Doesn't seem to help.Can I take more?

Generally, I'd recommend discussing any dose related questions with your doctor, since he/she prescribed you a certain amount for a good reason. However I did come across some prescribing information for this drug, stating that the usual adult dose for hypertension is 5mg orally once a day, as an initial dose; and 5 to 10 mg orally once a day as a maintenance dose.

Since you're already taking 10mg, talking to your doctor may still be something you'd want to go ahead and do; to find out if an increase above the "usual adult dose" is appropriate for your condition, and more importantly, safe for you.
