Dr In Phoenix Arizona To Prescribe Klonopin For Anxiety

I need klonopin for anxiety, stress from being caretaker for alzheimer father. I went out to Phoenix from Chicago to take care of him. Can't afford to fly to Dr. in Chicago and don't know anyone here in Phoenix. I am living w my dad in Mesa, but will go metro phoenix. I am not a drug user or abuser. Given script before left Chgo, 1mg tid and it's out, no refills. Hard to handle this and klonopin helped so much.

I get that he will not increase your anxiety medication, sorry to hear that. I am needing a doctor in Phoenix Mesa area who will prescribe Xanex for my lifelong Chronic Insomnia. I have had to get it Illicitly online for years. The doctor that put me on it in 2003 is in ND.. I have not lived there since 2004 and do not have med insurance to be going from doctor to doctor. I am very careful with it.. even after many yrs. I take 1-2 mg each night. Bad cases a 3rd hrs later, very careful about tolerance. Never for anxiety in daytime. A doctor in Washington put me on it when I moved from ND but took me off 2 yrs later because I occasionally took more than 1.5 mg during the night. Told her occasionally need another mg hrs later. I think this is pretty good control after taking these for 20 yrs. I have been careful so that they will continue to work.. not abusing them.

I see him and he sucks. Wont increase my anxiety medication and doesn't understand medication at all.

It's pretty hard to start "cold" with a new doc for clonnies. These drugs along with narcotics have really been demonized here in the past several. Doctors are encouraged to limit prescriptions in overall number and in the days of each script. There are groups such as CODA that I'm aware of that those in helping professions are recommended. In this time of Covid 19 there are expanded mental health online services. The days of taking a pill for whatever ails you are coming to a close in the mental health arena.

I lived in Scottsdale for a short while and went to a doctor that I thought was a legitimate psychiatrist. I found him on zocdoc and he had great reviews. I got there and it turned out it was a total pill mill. I don’t know how this guy still has a license to prescribe meds. His name is Dr. Kahane and he is in Phoenix.

I am sorry but that is not true. There is no regulation that says a PCP can't prescribe klonapin. It is more difficult due to DEA and they will want you to see a psychiatrist but they is no law or regulation stating they can not. It is on a patient by patient and end the end is completely at the doctors discretion. I watched my roommate be prescribed ativan, which is one of the four main benzodiazepine, three months ago from her primary care physician. She was give a full months supply at 1mg three times a day and has continued that for the last three months. It will be hard but is possible to find a primary who will prescribe klonapin.

Hello, Gary! How are you? I'm very sorry about what you're going through and wish the best to you and your family.

As to the Klonopin, due to the new regulations that were put in place last year, a PCP won't be able to prescribe it for you. You'll need to see a specialist. The easiest thing to do will most likely be to set yourself up with a new PCP there and then have them refer you to someone.

This medication carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability.

Can anyone recommend a good doctor in that area?

Are there any clinics that you can use who might be able to provide you with a referral?
