On this blue capsule it has the numbers 2985 both side's, IT HAS NO "X" ON IT!! Every time I iuse Google to look up the pill, I find it with no problem BUT the pills that I find have "X's" on them. how many days will doxycycline will take effect? ## I have an abcessed tooth & woke up with the right side of my face swollen. Been taking Doxy-Cycl HYCL 100mg 2x daily the past few days being I woke up with swelling don't think it's wking. Starting Cephelexin tonight. The abcess on my gum has come to a head. By gently applying pressure w a q-tip its popped & quite a bit of puss came out. What can I use to help draw out more of the infection? ## Soak a tea bag in hot water then apply the tea bag to ur gums and let it set ther for a bit this helps to reduce swellings ND draw out infection

I was prescribed doxycycline for syphilis. I've been taking it for a little over a week. The sores in my mouth are gone and my urine isn't dark anymore. A few days ago I started noticing my shoulder and neck are stiff and sore. Then my vagina started to itch. The next day I had discarge and I kept thinking there was hair in my mouth and my tongue was turning white. Apparently its called hair tongue? I woke up this morning and I have a canker sore on the inside of my cheek and on the inside corner of my mouth. My Dr said that when I take the antibiotics my symptoms may get worse for a while but that's normal. Is that what's happening? BC I googled my symptoms and it came up side effects of antibiotics. Can I eat dairy at all or do I Waite 2 hrs befor or after I take this medication please help ## Please anwser my question I'm hungery lol ## Dairy products can reduce the efficacy of Doxycycline, so they should be avoided for 2 hours before taking and for 4 hours after taking it. I recently had cataract surgery and developed corneal abrasions afterwars, which were extrely pàinful. My eye surgeon ordered me doxycycline NYC 100. I have been on it for close to a month. He has indicated I should coniue on it for another month. I also have Fuchs endothelial dystrophy. I was prescribed doxycycline for uti/possible pelvic infection. I saw 2 doctors and they told me two different things. I have been on the medicine for 3 days and am experiencing severe headaches, extreme pressure in my stomach and bloating. Is this normal?
