Dog/pill

I got a new blood pressure medication today. The pharmacy did not put child proof caps on my medicine like I have requested the last 6 years. Well, half of my Labetalol 100 mg spilled on the floor. All are accounted for except for one. I looked everywhere but could not find it. If my 10 yr old 16 pound minischnauzer finds and eats it, will it kill or harm her? (Note: my dog eats pills like they are treats.)

I see this was posted a few months ago, so I hope all is well and your dog didn't get ill.

For future reference, however, if you have a question about an animal, please contact your veterinarian.

Our website and my own knowledge are specialized in information on the use of medications and their effects on humans. We have no information on how they may effect animals.

Did your dog end up eating the pill?
