In a word, NO. Gabapentin (Pfizer NEURONTIN) is a GABAergic drug used in neuropathic pain, epilepsy and it's stronger sister, pregabalin (Pfizer LYRICA) has been approved for use in Generalised Anxiety Disorder. They work on the GABAa and GABAb receptors and do not affect the mu opioid receptors at all, containing nothing which could possibly be confused with any opiate or opioid.
