Does Cymboxin Help Pain (Top voted first)

My son has been on cymboxin for 3 years. The Doctor recently took him off and put him back on Lortab. He said his pain was so much worse and he ended up taking more than he was supposed to. Now a different Doctor has put him back on cymboxin and his pain is controlled. Does cymboxin control pain?

Suboxone is one of the drugs used to help opiate addicts , heroin addicts, supposedly it is a " blocker " if they use while taking it > thy are not supposed to be able to feel that "high" feeling, my son is a heroin addict and goes to the methadone clinic > methadone is the worse drug ever made , yes it does work, but it's easier to come off heroin than methadone , methadone gets into your bones and is very painful to come off of. As far as his dr taking him off suboxone to put him on a opiate/narcotic blows my mind !!!! Good Luck and God Bless , please contact me .... {edited for privacy}

Hi Donna,

I'm sorry to hear about your situation, the only information I could find about Cymboxin is that it's used for treating opiate addiction. Could you have meant Suboxone? I did find a fair amount of information stating that Suboxone can be used for pain, to some extent.
