Does Caduet Or Toprol Xl Contain A Diuretic?

I would like to know whether or not Caduet or Toprol XL contain a diuretic because I am scheduled to take some tests (ECOG and ENG) that require me to discontinue diuretics 48 hours prior to the tests.

No, neither of these medications contain a diuretic.

Caduet contains the active ingredients Amlodipine and Atorvastatin, it is a combination medication that is used treat high blood pressure, cardiac conditions and reduce cholesterol levels.

Toprol XL contains Metoprolol, which is a beta blocker used to treat high blood pressure and cardiac conditions.

Side effects to these medications may include: nausea, dizziness, stomach pain and joint/muscle aches.
