I suffer from severe panic attacks on a daily basis. im a perfect example of a person that needs medicine and is unable to get it because of so many people abusing prescription drugs. I have such severe anxiety and panic attacks and cant find a doctor to prescribe me xanax because im only 25 and its so addicting. but what they dont understand that i should be on xanax for the rest of my life because my anxiety is so bad. So if any1 knows a doctor in the monmouth county area of new jersey that will prescribe me xanax please let me know...thank u

I suffer from severe Anxiety, I had my first panic attack at the age of 17. I will never forget that horrifying experience honesty. So "play by play" I was at a friend's house having a highschool get together. Once everyone left i decided to stay over. I tried my hardeat to fall asleep and like usual I couldn't. My mind was spinning with all types of thoughts and I just remeber laying on my friend's couch. As I lifted up my head and sort of blackouted. My heart was pounding incredibly hard, I was pouring in sweat trying to crawling and yellowing for help to my past out buddy. It seriously felt like my chest was caving in or as if I had hard pressure on my chest. I then called my parents to come and pick me up and i explained everything that happened to me. My mom suspected maybe it could have been a panic attack. I have no previous illness. About a week later I became to have these panic attack and the fear of what I am going to be in life I'm still young and I'm having Panic Attacks. I had a trip to the Christian Hopital. The doctors ran an ekg on me, but it came up fine. I then was transfered to a different section in a hospital. A nurse took my pulse blah blah. And handed me 2 pink 0.5mg of Clonazepam (Klonopin) within minutes I felt at ease and a sense of me at a NORMAL state of mind Physically and mentally. I went to a pshyciayrist and wa as prescribed an antidepressant and 0.5 clonazepam 3 x daily. I also w as soon prescribed Suboxone from an ex addiction to percocet. My doctore then tried a different antidepressant with alprazolam 0.5 4x daily. Once My Psychiatrist was "in trouble" and MOVED, his name was Dr. FRIEL. So we tried another doctor a different antidepressant xanax .05 4x daily. After Dr Serittas couldn't see me anymore due to insurance policy I have been suffering horrible with anxiety. I am enrolled at HealthCare Commons. I am very anticpated telling her about my panic attacks and Anxiety and social anxiety dealing with depression as well only being prescribed 0.5 klonopin 1x a day. It hasn't been working and I am a full time worker. .5 clonazepam is not enough to function through my day. From, Swim. Wish me luck. GOD bless.

What's the Dr name? I'very gone to 6 Dr and I can't get back on your xanax I only take them as needed I have 3 kids I do not abuse anything I'm in Hamilton nj Can anyone help me please?

Can u plz give me ur drs name n number it wil be greatly appreciated i take xanax as wel but my dr is only givinf me the1mg 2 in the morning 2 at night but wont give me the 2s n they not really helping

I've been taking xanax for over 20 years and I've gotten down from 4x's daily to 2 times daily.
Never just assume that no one can be on any drug for life.
You think blood pressure pills are the same? No

I suffer from acutre anxiety to the point where I do not like to meet with my friends. It affects my social life and I don't want to meet new people og go out.

Good point so many are convinced they know better then every doctor that are REQUIRED by law to excersize Caution in the prescribing of these scheduled IV drugs .Unless you've experienced the torture or Withdrawl and the inevitable cognitive disorders that result from extended use ( typically for periods of 4 months or less )of these benzos. You shouldn't insist it's the only thing that works. I can assure you anxiety may be a challenge to manage but it beats a life filled with the unpredictable effects of these agents ANXIETY SUX BUT BENZO WITHDRAWL IS TORTURE SO PLEASE DONT GET STARTED.........

In the state of NJ Your only real option is a physciatrist or other mental health professional,For which you need a referral from a pcp New Jersey is a tough place to find a provider to prescribe these drugs.

Hi #152, you need a referral if you have HMO insurance. If you have PPO you don't need one. NJ is problematic, but so is NY :)

Hi #152, you are absolutely right. These drugs over a period of time causes, cardiomegaly, liver damage, kidney damage. I agree some of these people saying they need to be on these massive doses for life, are only fooling themselves.

Am I also go to Doctor Ferstandig and because you posted his name here saying he will give you Xanax he is no looker prescribing them to anymore. He is giving all his patients 3 months to switch over to something instead of Xanax because you got him in trouble putting his name on here. I hope you know you messed up a lot of people who really do need Xanax to deal with temporary situations. You also put Dr. Ferstandig in jeopardy by posting his name on here. What are you stupid?

Dr. Russ is not what all u people are saying. the doc knows his job and isn't a sucker. I have been traveling far to keep seeing him. He tried to help my marriage and my ex just gave up. I trust him, he got me suboxone and off and people like you schmucks make it hard for him to do his job and the real people that need xanax are getting cut off cause off all the scammers. If you need it you get it cause other bulls*** drugs don't work. Xanax helped me, now i gotta get put on something else or lose the only doc i trust. Cause some *****s post lies about a good man, who is a addiction specialist. So if u wanna believe that he is gonna write scripts for u to abuse, your wrong.

That's bulls***! I have been on canal for over a decade and it's the only medication that also prevents me from having a panic attack. Everybody says try buspirone, celexa, paxil! Etc.... If a drug is a drug then why not prescribe what works for the patient. I have tried every thing under the sun. (Including all the meds listed above) so they will push any other medication that does god knows what to your brain chemistry BUT they don't want to give you what works! It's total crap. What's the difference if your on xanax or lexapro? It's still a chemical! And they constantly push these drugs that are for depression not anxiety! It makes me pissed off! So your saying he should go on something that's not going to work for him, may make him depressed and give him more anxiety. That makes sense lol.
