Doctors Willing To Prescribe Xanax In New Jersey (Page 14)

I suffer from severe panic attacks on a daily basis. im a perfect example of a person that needs medicine and is unable to get it because of so many people abusing prescription drugs. I have such severe anxiety and panic attacks and cant find a doctor to prescribe me xanax because im only 25 and its so addicting. but what they dont understand that i should be on xanax for the rest of my life because my anxiety is so bad. So if any1 knows a doctor in the monmouth county area of new jersey that will prescribe me xanax please let me know...thank u

That is really NOT true and might dissuade someone who needs immediate help. Your family practitioner is authorized to prescribe the same medications a Psychiatrist can. It might be best to see a specialist, and yes your GP might be under certain rules or practices as part of their group, and/ or even feel uncomfortable providing this medicine to you.

Good luck, my clinic doesn't want anyone on Xanax, they won't even take you as a patient if you are on it. They want you on Klonopin. I am on 2mg Klonopin 2 times a day, 50 mg Elavil, and 0.3 mg Clonidine. My MMT does is 140 and I am a 27 take home carrier. A psychiatrist is most likely to give you Xanax, but Klonopin is just as good.

Every time I read this site I thank Our Lord that I was not born in America. What an absolutely disgusting place.

I cannot understand that if you DO find a doctor to prescribe whatever for your anxiety, how come he is permitted to prescribe for you............. oh, maybe because some Government body might think that to not permit him to do so, might stop him from earning money. How do people who don't help the sick sleep at night. Pox on them.

You got it wrong...Drs TELL YOU ..YOU NEED IT FOR LIFE...OR YOU WILL HAVE SEIZURE AND COULD DIE. Not something made up by patient . At my age Places that wean you off the drug..refuse to do so at my age. They say it works for me so why put someone of my age through that. Better quality of life remaining on the meds. Drs can tell if you abuse meds. I never have..never will. People like me...this med gave me BACK my life which was almost agoraphobic. Walk in my shoes before you talk.

The 1st thing I was told 33 years ago when I got my first refill of 4 /0.25 pills (1 MG) was how addictive these were. The ironic thing, the Doctor who told me that became the King of Fen Phen which was the diet drug banned for heart ailments. He lost his license, but was right about Xanax, it is poison

These days to get controlled psych meds you have to see a psychiatrist. Once you’re there for awhile sometimes you can get your PCP to take over prescribing, but most family medicine providers won’t do controlled substances. If you can’t find a psychiatrist in your area that’s a bigger issues something needs to be done about, but have you tried or are you just dealing with PCPs?

Psychiatrists in my area do not take private ins, only medicare . Otherwise it's $300 a visit. Can't afford that. And you don't just want ANY psychiatrist you want the best or a high rated one.

Terrible situation for seniors who are not on Medicare because they still work. Xanax is not abused by a 73 yr old. If Drs would only read patients records they would see it. And to put a 73 yr old through getting off the xanax would kill them. And Drs take oath to do no harm.

It should be on a case by case basis. I have PTSD, anxiety, and arrhythmia. My arrhythmia came back after decreasing dosage for a month. My cardiologist was correct. My heart meds work as long as stress level is lower or equal to heart meds. So stress went up... arrhythmia came back. Put meds back to prescribed dose... arrhythmia gone.

CDC looking at the opioid rules because they are not fair. Cancer patients committing suicide because they are in horrible pain and can't get meds... also people who have panic attacks and ssri don't work are committing suicide too. They went too far.

SSRI are very bad ... seen people wean off them. Horrible. They wanted to die. The answer to help was giving them xanax!!! Hypocritical!!

I believe Dr.Laurelli is semi-retired, he still is medical director at the Methadone clinic though. I'm a 27 take home carrier so I only go there once a month to pick up, take a swap, and see the counselor for a few minutes. How about Dr. Leonard S. Pappel, I think he still has an office in Newark.
