I had 2 travel 2 Kentucky. It's a long story. 4 later. The reason I'm writing is while I was gone, I found out my moms cat who I care 4 since my parents past last yr. Well they had 2 get her on insulin & Special food.... So great that I did have them do a blood work up. I'm wondering after looking @ something's 4 pets...like anxiety & saw some things even 4 pain am I crazy... Or that desperate. ???? I'm glad Sassy kitty is doing very well so far. I have a pet bunny 2 who I had gotten b4 things turned upside down with my parents being sick. They r friends & it's so funny 2 c how they react 2 each other. So a lot of money @ the vets & WOW my cat got just what she needed 2 get better ????? I'm very thankful. Yet with the true medications that would help us ?? Y. R they there ...I'd love 2 get the attention & medication that would help.

Found this. not sure if it can truly b of any help. As always u have 2b very careful. was on another site from awhile ago on medschat from someone. Phoneconsultation.com. as I said u can't b 2 careful. But if it might help someone. didn't offer me any help since I'm in Ohio.

I'm in the Charlotte N.C. Aera and have no problem getting my pain meds. There are a handful of doctors here that will prescribe pain meds for you, I am on 15 100 µg fentanyl patches Per month I also get 150 30 mg oxycodone for breakthrough pain per month.my family provider did not feel comfortable writing this many pain meds so he told me to go to a pain management clinic. I walked into the pain management Killaney with no paperwork no records and I walked out of there with 15 100 µg fentanyl patches and 150 oxycodone 30s for breakthrough pain and have been there ever since it that is now two years ago.so to all you people that are not getting your pain meds you are going to the wrong places. So leave me a post and I will be happy to give you the doctors names and where to go.

Mr fixit...any info would be very appreciated. .maybe your Dr knows a nj or nyc..doc...my current Dr who is new to me about 4 months suggested getting my whole intestinal tract taken since writing is difficult in NJ anymore..one really? BTW love u all especially my girls.. Cosusie...karen..Marianne .. u took me under your wing... I'm so grateful for the support... xoxox

I'm so depressed my friends..my Dr was so mean I cried hours I feel horrible. ..he said he needs an end date on my disease for my management...or again get all my bowels out..38 yrs so sick...he needs an end date of my disease seriously my uncles died of crohns ...i have such a bad stricture u can't even get the colonoscopy.tube thru to look at it..after surgeries also nerves trapped...two fistulas in my intestine ...severe anermia no iron osteoporosis ..r a arthritis...surgery after surgery..been getting abscesses on my butt.u can't cure my disease I never go out much I'm so sick and pain...after surgery it comes back it's a genetic disease w no cure the meds are like chemotherapy and make u so sick...the surgeries are horrible. .. nevvvvver had a Dr be so mean... he gave me the monthlys which are so low but truthfully what hurts the most is the way he talks to me ...wanted to put a needle in my spine but my gastros said no way too dangerous ...hes just awfull...I never had a problem. ....I want to give him back the scripts and tell him to go away he doesn't care just wants me off after 15 years...all my drs feel terrible but pain management is like god...we are just sick liars dispite...all the info we give them...I don't care anymore if it weren't for my daughter I'd quite everything. ..... it's a horrible medical world...

I am so sorry that he was so mean to you? Was it because the government is putting pressure on him to stop writing any pain medication? Has he been like that in the past or was this a new attitude?
Again, I am so sorry. You know you can't let people with awful attitudes get to you. You have to ignore them, because obviously they have some sort of problem going on.

Thanks my friend :) I guess that doesn't help for sure and i get that but I have so much medical docs and its an incurable disease you can die from which at this point I'm at a dangerous point...he's one of those Dr's that are not empathetic... actually wanted an end date of my disease and will speak with all my docs..when I told he about my new Dr he said he's only an internist...I said no he actually has 3 degrees one gyno and surgery but due to an accident he had recently doesn't do surgery and practices primary..he's also trained at Mt. Sinide ... Co Susie 38 yrs..about 6 myths ago I spent 8 days in hospital assn do ended up with MRSA...surgery upon surgery it's has worsened and they don't have a cure....they have a few new meds which are so dangerous and sometimes they can help people but the disease comes back and usually worse ..unfortunately for.me with a stricture the meds can close it and throw me into another surgery...needless to say everything from leukemia cancer to all hair loss ..death side bone problems and I have osteoporosis etc so it's scary to even try...I'm looking into a specialist in nyc 2 see his thoughts...I might try it but that and another surgery is my only option per drs.my last Surgery i was 6 months infected with nurses everyday at my home trying to repack my infection and heal it from inside out..after that there's nothing else. ..I already have short bowel syndrome and after the surgeries u have more pain...the bowel has so many nerves so u get scar tissue adhesions which can attach to another bowel and cause urgent surgery and sepsis ..as u know my mom died from a 1 day hernia surgery..

I've had 4 surgeries to date and more potty issues and I guess maybe a colostomy can come from another surgery idk...if they take all my intestines out then liquid food which shortens yrs life .. I already do very soft sometimes we puree my food network liquid...then all the other things and he wants an end date to my disease and pain management... he was so mad that my gastrointestinal dr wouldn't let him put needle in my coxix bone... it complicated but she was like no!!!! And the joke of it all is he recommended getting off all my meds and smoke pot but it's not good for me with a stricture if it made eat ...I'm not against it for some but on top it all my daughter just turned 17 I don't want to smoke pot around her and be dopped up like that...as u know our meds help us to function a little and help our pain some after yrs of pain meds it just helps u to survive...i dont want to be wacked out like that all day you know? I know many love it so no disrespect to anyone it's just not for me particular at this point in my disease and life.... drug addicts can go say they r drug addicts and get methodone..and pot it u have any pain...but people like us with real medical problems are treated awful and difficulty with a legal drug...sorry so long trying to explain n upset...if he said look I don't prescrib long term..I'm afraid...umm..I don't understand crohns..but understand your suffering ..no prob...but to disrespect Me and my Dr's ....I swear I don't want to fill the scripts he gave me..I'd rather get sicker..i felt disgusting..like I had to beg... I couldn't even go to my daughter's 17 yrs old bday ... stayed in bed...I'm not sure what I'm gonna do but my integrity is all I have ...he's treated me since Juneish i feel like I want help from a Dr that really wants doesnt cares....does this make sense to you? I'm gonna go 2 the city and see what they say ..any opinion is greatly appreciated. ..love u all and thank u for listening I will shorten my messages from now on :))))))

I just want a doctor to perscribe gabapentin/nurotin. I'm currently on methadone, was on a very high dose, 120 mg daily. I have been detoxing slowly and currently down to 70. My sister had gotten some gabapentin and she didn't take them so I tried them, they have helped me so much, to not be narcotic, they are great help. I have not abused what so ever, (except I don't have a script). She was perscribed like 5 a day and I only need 3 or less most days 1 and it really dont bother me when I don't have them. PLEASE HELP me find a doctor to perscribe these none narcotics to me...

I AM IN LEXINGTON KY. I need a doctor that will perscribe gabapentin/nurotin. I was on a very high dose of methadone, 120 mg. I have been detoxing at my own pace for a couple months and am currently down to 70mg daily.. My sister had some gabapentin that she never took so, I tried them and, they helped me tremendously.. PLEASE if anyone knows a doc in LEX that will help me, I have records from my clinic that I have been willingly helping myself detox and just asking for a none narcotic drug to help me out.. I know one drug for another but its my choice please don't judge!

I feel so sorry that you have that disease. I have never heard of any answers that seem to be anywhere near easy. Every treatment anyone has told me about, sounds awful in itself. Almost "cure worse than disease" thing. And to top that off, it doesn't cure it, just treats it.
My problems seem small in comparison, and LOL I know it's not a contest :).
It's OK that a post is long, sharing with us is the only thing we can do to help you. I know we all wish we could do more, but sharing is about it :)
I fell last Sunday morning and messed up my eye. I didn't go to the doctor because I felt too bad. Yesterday I finally went, when I got home I fell again and messed up my knees and back. Have no idea what's up with this. I have a cane, but a few months ago my doctor asked me to try to limit my use of it. LOL
They want me to go get exrays on my eye, but I didn't, came home instead.
I know falling is a minor thing but for some reason it has really gotten to my head this time. I haven't been posting, answering email, answering the phone, nothing. Don't want to.

thank you very much my boyfriend said the same thing to me the other day and it made me feel so good to know that he was proud of me and i never thought i could do it without him i wouldnt have.. with out his support. but thank you again just hearing that every now and then helps me push on..

New Indiana Dr. needed...My husband has spondylosis and usually takes 1 to 2 10mg a day. His Dr. can no longer write prescriptions for narcotics. Does anyone know of a Dr. around Indiana? He has been taking them for 3 years and now for 2 weeks, he is without. He does not complain, he works 14 hours a day and I know he is suffering. Just hoping someone can give me a name of a Dr. Will travel.

I live in south jersey in cape may and since my doctor has left I can't find doctor to prescribe me my pain medication. I suffer with chronic pain due to RSD since 1994. I also have arthritis in neck and hands, several herniated disks in back and neck some bulging in neck on nerve, due to car accident. In the past I have been on morphine, fentanyl patches, and Actiq for breakthrew pain which worked wonderful but lost my insurance and couldn't get anymore. I now have been taking oxycodone 30mg 4 times a day and adderall 30mg. 2 times a day I have been on these for about 3 years. Since the law changed I cannot fine a doctor willing to give me these medication that me take the edge off my pain. It's really sad this law changed especially for the people who truly suffer from chronic pain and have all the paperwork to prove it as I myself have and alot of other people. This law just isn't fair for us who have chronic pain . Please help

Sorry but tramadol doesn't work. I've been going through it myself for three weeks and I'm no better. I was on pain meds for a year for back issues and when I moved I couldn't find a doctor who would prescribe what I was on so I went to methadone. Now I'm trying to get off that and tramadol is doing nothing. Bad thing is I still have back issues and can't hardly walk. I need to get back on the pain meds but no one will take me because I was on methadone. I'm in GA. I wish someone could help me.
