Every member of our federal gov should disclose if they are taking any opioid medication for chronic pain. I find it hard to believe that none need pain meds to perform their jobs.
I am moving to DFW, Tx. I have fibromyalgia, chronic pain, daily migraine/facial nerve pain headaches from a reconstructive surgery 20 years ago due to an accident, and 3 bulging cervical disks. I've been a patient at the Cleveland Clinic Pain Clinic for many years and need a compassionate doctor somewhere near DFW who will prescribe medication and do cervical facet blocks. Please help me...
Yes, I'm in the Memphis area. What is Doctors name?
Who is your pain management specialist? And, located where in Memphis?
KB-You birng up good point-except if there are those in gov. using pain meds without any regulations I am certain it is a protected matter that only they know & talk about to their drs.
Cannot see any way to force our uncaring, greedy gov. to tell on themselves!!
Of course what they do is whatever they wish-it is not what they are setting out as laws & regulations for us lowlife general public patients.
If there is anyone who knows law that can speak to this idea, I would love to enact
some retribution here.
I need a dr asap but have no insurance and not much money. I am due for my meds and simply cant get them anymore.
Lynx, it is up to each doctor to prescribe what in their professional opinion each patient needs. Politicians have the same right to keep their medical records private that other patients do.
Akron Ohio. Does anyone know of a Dr.who can pprescribe the narcotic pain medication I need in this area.
Anyone know of a good Doctor in West Virginia?!?? Please help I can also help you in other states I would travel to Tennessee to so if you know of any good Doctors please let me know thanks
LOOKING HIS NAME IS DR.MATTHEW KANGAS. HE'S LOCATED IN MIDTOWN MEMPHIS.
It's 2017 now and a hello I guess is in order. I'm from NH and my current PCP is leaving practice. I'm on a high dose of opioids and need a caring PCP to take over. Any suggestions?
Tommy, it will be difficult if not impossible to find a PCP that will prescribe high doses to a new patient. A Pain Management Doctor may or may not prescribe high doses.
Be sure and get copies of your medical records before your old PCP leaves his practice.
Looking for a pain management doctor who will prescribe my husband pain meds. He has arthritis on the spine and other illnesses. We relocated from Austin, tx to Houston and didn't have any idea about all the problems around here with the pain doctors! He has a new injury and it's very frustrating when we go to appointments leaving without medication!
Thank you. I'll do my best to have all the ducks in order. My current PCP has gone above and beyond for me, in the past, referrals, letters, etc... Wish me luck and thanx once again.
I too am looking for a Dr that isnt terrified to write a pain med prescription
My Dr has been dismissed from the group she was with and they sent me to a pain management clinic . 2 visits and they tell me I have to go somewhere because of a misunderstanding . I have fibromyalgia in my hands and a curved spin . Just had an MRI done on my back 2 disks are slipping . Anyway if i find a good Dr I will write you again . Im sorry you have to go threw this like I do . Its excuse my French BS
Jonette, if you broke your pain contract you may find it difficult if not impossible to find a doctor that will treat your pain. Chances are good a new doctor will want to get a copy of your medical records from your previous pain doctor.
If the doctor that was dismissed for the clinic got into trouble for the way she was prescribing pain meds. That may also cause problems when trying to find a new doctor.
Hi. I'm in Memphis and need some info. Recently moved to Memphis.
BL-why would there be a problem if
the clinic got in trouble for prescribing high doses of pain meds? It had nothing to do with the patient....(actually probably nothing the clinic was doing wrong but not agreeing to adhere to bogus CDC guidelines).
We all know the CDC guidelines are completely
Inappropriate for true patients individual needs
And were made up by the untrained.....,.
A patient losing their Dr due to no fault of their
Actions should NOT be stigmatized, and should not have trouble in finding a new dr.
Makes no sense.
Yeah I thought so . Well I'm fat from being a hard core drug addict but iam in .massive amounts of pain . And i do hold myself accountable for my mistake and that mistake looks like will cost me any kind of a normal life . When did drs stop being human
