TRAMADOL IS LIKE A PLACEBO. Y ITS ON THE MARKET? Shouldn't be! Drs try to push this sugar pill. Waste of a copayment or full price like some of us

Hi Co Susie,
I am already off the morphine, except for really bad days. I've taken two this week but won't take any more, next week. As far as the Morphine, the extended release, I think that is what I was on. I do know, when I have to take one, it is amazing and helps my pain, completely. So, there goes the theory that my body has gotten used to it.

As far as the Opana ER, I don't know anything about it. I've never heard of it, until I see folks mentioning it. I am wondering if it is an opiate or narcotic, if so, I won't get a doctor to give it to me. The DEA, is too busy harassing the doctors, the pharmacy and myself. I don't know if anyone in my area is having the same problem. Some of my other neighbors have Firbormyalgia, only and their doctors are helping them. But, when I call those doctors, to get an appointment, the doctors refuse to see chronic pain patients, any more. They aren't even polite to me, on the phone.

I made a list, on "Notepad," of the medications, other folks are mentioning, on this site, which seem to help them. I will ask a doctor, if one will finally see me, if any of these will work, in my case. For I am worried the Norco is affecting my kidneys or liver. Then, I can have pain management, without fear from the DEA.

Now, about that neighbor, it is her sister, that is looking into my windows. Three times, yesterday. They are out, at 6 a.m., so they think we are not up yet. But, the last time, she was looking, I went out, on my deck and looked straight at her. I was about to ask her, if she wanted a camera or binoculars, so she can see more. But, then she smiled at me, so I just smiled back. Yes, it is funny, my ex-husband, whom I am caring for, laughs at them and makes funny jokes about them, which then, makes me laugh. However, I decided I will buy some fast growing bushes and plant them along my fence, so they can't look over. I would love to put up a stockade fence, but can't afford that. I know there is a bamboo screening I can attach to my fence, but I don't know how much that will cost. If it isn't too much, I will temporary use it, until bushes get big enough. My only concern, is she killed my Rose of Sharon bushes, where I want to plant, now it looks like she's attacked my honeysuckle, which is as old as my house, so I worry if I plant more, she will kill them too. But, the good news is, they are gone for the day, leaving her bright porch light on. Hopefully, I won't hear the yap, yap, while she is gone. I will have peace, today, at least. I find it is funny, she yells at me, "what are you looking at" when they sit and stare over here, all the time. What joke. Lol! Well, if she ever moves out, you can best bet, I will appreciate the new owners, no matter who they are. They can be pot heads, which will be much better, than her. I don't care if they have parties, every night. Lol!

Anyway, thanks so much for your support, your friendship. I do appreciate having a friend like you...

Always,
Marianne

I was wondering, does Morphine come in an Extended Release pill? If so, that could be an alternative to Opana ER, since you already use morphine. I'm not sure what the difference in cost between Opana ER and morphine is, it could be a large difference. When you find a doctor, I guess you can ask that.

Why in the world would the crazy neighbor involve family and friends in tormenting you? Can't they see that something is wrong with her? Don't they know that she just lost in court? That should tell them she is having a problem. I wonder about the daughter who would shine a flashlight in your window. What is wrong with her? If she looks in your windows again, maybe you should get a towel or scarf and do a shimmy dance for her LOL Give her something to talk about.
It's hard, but if you can dig deep and find some humor about her, it may make it easier for you to deal with. You are so right that stress is awful for anyone and especially a sick person, it triggers pain and other issues. It would be so much better for you if you could laugh about her, instead of letting her destroy your health further.

You said that you have fibromyalgia along with arthritis, which is what I have. I was reading some information on Lifescript website about fibromyalgia symtoms and some pointers that people find helpful. I was curious if you have a lot of fatigue and if so what do you do to help it?

Last year I was looking for legal representation. I was looking for help with the "poison pills" and what I could legally do about it. I didn't have much luck finding what I wanted, but did get information. I called lawyers offices that I saw advertised on TV, no money down, pay when claim is settled lawyers. No law office was interested in my problem, but they did refer me to a thing that I guess is like a central pool of lawyers located in Denver. The lady took the information about my problem and she did get back to me. No help available, just information on what is legal and not (which was interesting).
Perhaps you could call some of your local lawyers, if they can't help, maybe VA has a "central pool" thing like CO does. I hope you can get some help from them.

linnietea,
Try clicking on the "live feed" portion of this website. If you haven't seen it, it's located on the right side of this page near the top. Watch for someone in VA to post, then click on the light blue subject area next to their name, even if it's not a related subject. Post the doctor problem you are having. Maybe you can at least find some people near you and maybe they could help with the doctor thing. Old timer, is in VA but in the Alexandria area, possible he may know something about your area. I'm sorry that I can't be of more help.

Hi Co Susie,
Mrs Cravetz, (if I spelled it correctly), is the nosey neighbor, across the street from Samantha, of the TV program, "Bewitched." She always had her nose in their business. But, the truth is, this neighbor of mine is one. Every time, someone comes to my house, they sneak outside, hiding, she hung up and listens, until my company leaves. Or, they just look over at my house, all the time. I can't go into my yard, without her coming out. This morning, her sister has been staying with her, for a week. I happened to be up, at 6:30, after not sleeping all night. I looked out my kitchen window, while making coffee, there the sister was, standing near my fence, staring over at my house, trying to see inside my windows! I asked her if she wanted to take a photo or borrow my binoculars. But, she just stopped and walked away, pretending not to hear me. It is ridiculous, and very aggravating. I don't need this, when I've been so kind to her, the neighbor, I don't know what I did, except to ask her to be quiet, after 3 days of listening to them, making noise, at 11:30 p.m., 4:30 a.m., and finally at 2:30 a.m.! I finally went out and asked them to please be quiet, as they had waken me up. She proceeded to argue, so I just went inside. She is a very angry, depressed woman. It was when she came home, noisy at 11:30 at night, drunk, when I mentioned how her dog sits in her open window, or door, facing my house and yaps constantly, without stopping. Boy, that really set her off, I was kind and nice, when I asked her if maybe she can keep the door/window closed, or train her dog. She screamed, at the top of her lungs, calling me all kinds of names, cursing horribly. I simply went inside, closed my windows and she continued for another 5 minutes. I called the police, but they didn't come out, at my request for fear she would make more noise, bothering the rest of the neighbors. Instead of doing what they suggested, going to court, on Monday for a restraint order, apparently she called them, too and went and tried to get one on me. You should have seen the language she used in that request! I am certain the judge knew what kind of a person she actually is, that is why she ruled in my favor. But, now this crazy woman is doing other things, it won't do any good to call the police, for eventually they will think I am a nuisance caller. I plan on planting bushes, so they can't see into my yard and my company. The trouble is, I planted Rose of Sharon bushes, for the very same reason, but one by one, they are dying. They were so healthy, the second year of growth, flowering too. Now, I only have two of five left. One is stressed and dying, now. I know she is killing them, but can't prove it. If I plant bushes, she will kill them, too. I am at my wit's end. Well, I shouldn't bring this all up, but it adds to the DEA's oppression, along with her, and making me more ill. I keep hoping she meets a man and move away, with him. Anyway, thanks for your understanding, Susie and your encouragement. May GOD Bless you and keep you in the medications you are on, hoping those won't be taken away from you, too.
Take care...

Always,
Marianne

I am so sorry for your problems with the neighbor. I've never had problems as bad as you, but there were neighbors that I wondered if they were even sane, cause they seem to be "after me" for no reason. People who haven't had the "neighbor issue" don't understand how even seeing that person can bother you so much. You have all "legal" rights to your own yard, garden, walkway, porch, but when a neighbor is treating you that way, it takes the pleasure out of it.

CO SUSIE...does anyone know a legal representation that I might contact.I'm at the point,I've almost begged my PC to help because he doesn't like the treatment plan, which was an established plan by a pc,orthopedic PA .after 14+years of working, suddenly, Valentine's day this new physician decides she isn't going to allow me to continue. Right now,I'm losing my ability to function.I'm hurting,I can't sleep,my legs jump,I feel as though I'm being electrocuted throughout my body.I made the mistake of going to civilian hospital, they treated me like a street s***. I'm so sensitive to medicine,I just can't take certain medicine. Can anyone direct me,I live in Virginia, close to VA Bch.

Hi Co Susie,
I'm sorry, I haven't been on. My coolers are shot and am waiting for a son in-law to come and plug up a hole in the one that leaked. It's been just too hot, in my house to be on my laptop.

I won the court incident, as she lied through her teeth, to the judge, accusing me of many things I can't and didn't do. She called me, "Mrs. Cravetz," in front of the judge, claiming I watch everything she does. But, in reality, I can't look out my windows, be on my porch or in my gardens, without her coming out and scowling at me. I was minding my own business, sweeping my walkway, then rested a bit, looking at a rose I have. She suddenly appeared, when I thought she was in her house and it was safe for me to be out. She thought I was looking at her, so she screamed over, "What are you looking at!" Now, she has her sister visiting, a Walmart friend, whom she worked with and her daughter, all coming into the yard, keeping me from mine. I just caught her sister out, with a flashlight, looking into my open windows. I had to close my drapes, keeping the cool air out, for privacy. I have the neighbor from "Hell" living next to me. I have no other challenges with my others, always tried to help them out. This one, has made my life miserable since she moved in.

This stress is adding to my demise. I am having attacks, from my spine, around to my rib cage, to the center of my chest. I don't know if it is my heart, but take my nitro, when it happens, along with a left over morphine, for the pain. I hate to take the morphine, because of trying to be off of it, but the pain is too horrible to express. Now, I will have to wait longer, before seeing a doctor, again. I really don't know if there are any that will help me again. I am hoping those meds, you are taking are working for you. I am writing them down, on "Notepad" and when I see a doctor, maybe he will prescribe those to me, if they will help. Please, let me know, from time to time, if they still work for you, dear. In the meantime, I wish you and yours the very best and may GOD bless everyone on this site...

Always,
Marianne

Hope someone from your area has gotten back to you. If not, try clicking on the live feed portion and you may find someone posting who is near you, who can help with the info.
Read that tramadol is being taken of the market, so maybe you don't have to worry about them sticking you with that.

WOW Morphine instead of oxycodone !! That seems like a huge jump. Did the doctor say why morphine is better than oxy?

Njshorecrohns,
OH My Goodness! Crohn's!!! I am so sorry. I have one friend who has Crohn's and he has suffered so much and is fighting a constant battle. You used (or they did when edited) an abbreviation of "btw besides pain meds", I don't know what "btw" is, could you explain? Thanks

We all know exactly what you are saying about finding a compassionate and understanding doctor. That seems to be a problem all over the US now and you are right, it wasn't this way a couple of years ago. Many of us are having problems with receiving our pain medications too.

If you would go back over this thread, it may be several pages for you to find it, Marianne has provided information on a petition that she put together relating to chronic patients treatment, and all signatures are important. She also provided information on the president's "front porch", so that you can make the White House aware of what you are suffering.
Most of us believe too, that it's going to take "numbers" to bring about any change in policy. The "policy" is what is scaring the Bee Jesus out of the doctors and some of the pharmacies. It's really sort of silly, because as long as a doctor isn't prescribing without proper medical records and diagnostics, they have nothing to fear. If the DEA or FDA gets bored enough, they may take a look at some doctor's records, somewhere, and it's very doubtful that they would take the time. Even if they did take the time to check on a particular doctor, as long as the doctor did the job the right way, all the records will support that and no medical license would be in jeopardy. Just another example of them taking the easy road, by targeting the law abiding instead of addressing the true problem of illegal use.

"Doctor Shopping"!! What a joke, just like the "Pharmacy Shopping" crap. Why in the world should anyone be stuck with a doctor who isn't helping them, who they don't relate to, or who they don't feel comfortable with? No one is saying you have to stick with an auto mechanic who doesn't fix your car properly, but something as important and personal as your health care, is being dictated to you. HOW SILLY.
