Doctor's Solution To My Back Pain-more Meds

My back and neck got messed up in 2008. Ever sence I've been taking pain pills. If one doesn't work they give me stronger ones. Some of them I just really hated-made me feel like crap. So what do I do? I've had neurosurgeon treatments, physical therapy, walking, bed rest. I just frickin hurt and I'm sick of it.

Hello, Katy! How are you feeling? I am very sorry about the problem that you're having.

Have you tried chiropractic therapy? Or perhaps acupuncture?

They do successfully help some people, so they may be options you can explore.

What medications do you take? With those, it's really a matter of just trying to various ones, until you find what works for you, without making you miserable.

Does anyone else have any advice to add?

They also have Psychologists who specialize in helping chronic pain patients manage their pain. For most people it takes a combination of meds and other methods of pain management in order to take the least amount of medication. For some people they are able to manage their pain without the need of meds.
