Doctors In Ohio That Easily Prescribe Xanax Or Klonopin (Top voted first)
UpdatedI suffer from anxiety and have severe anxiety attacks several times a day. I use to take xanax and klonopin and they helped so much. Does anyone know of a doctor around north Royalton Ohio that will easily prescribe the two? Thanks.
Re: EDDY (# 2)
Not everyone is a drug addiction that takes xanax! I have been on it for 7 years. It's other people that abuse it that ruin it for the people that really need it. Shame on you for judging
I have been on suboxone for 3 years and I am in need of finding a doctor in Columbus Ohio that will prescribe me either Klonopin or Tranxene for my anxiety disorder along with my Suboxone. I was on both medications up until 2014 when I had to switch to my current doctor because of my old one moved back to Canada. My current doc will not prescribe both and for the last 3 years I have been on every medication under the sun to help with my anxiety and nothing has helped and I have been miserable. Can anyone please help me if you have any information? Thank you.
I need to find a doctor that prescribes Benzos and Suboxone in Cleveland, Ohio. I know they exist, but I can't find them. Can you help me? I've been taking them both for 7 years.
I understand completely what you're going through. It is hard to find doctors to prescribe benzodiazepines now these days, because of the potential for abuse. I suffer from horrible social anxiety, and rarely, if ever, leave my house; it's horrible! The thing is, Xanax is a fast acting benzodiazepine, and is heavily abused, because it can make you feel high, but klonopin are slow acting release, and therefore do not have that same affect. Anyway, most nurse practitioners, or resident doctors who aren't very knowledgeable about this, will simply go with what others are saying/doing, and not prescribe them, period, which sucks for those like us who need them. Your best bet is to ask your primary care doctor to prescribe you klonopin, not Xanax, or ativan (lorazepam), where they are less likely to be advised, and you won't look like a drug seeker. I would mention the info I mentioned about then being slower acting, and not abusable (this came from a leading doctor on Suboxone and benzodiazepines in Phoenix, AZ btw), if they give a hard time saying they are. Renege though, benzodiazepines are HIGHLY addictive, and one of few medications/drugs that can actually kill you from the withdrawals! Benzodiazepines are only meant to be prescribed for short periods of time, or as needed, not multiple times per day, or necessarily daily. They are NOT a long-term fix!!! Doctors are likely not to represcribe then to you, because you were already on for a while and safely off of them, and your potential for auction is greater at this point if given them again though. Best of luck to you!

Re: Lissylou56 (# 56)
I been on Subutex and Xanax for the past few years, but fortunately my doctor is retiring. I know this is a longshot, but would you share your doctors name.

See Dr. Lewis at Mercy Hospital in Canton Ohio if your close near her I live a hour away and I see her she is good
Re: Stacey (# 13)
Yeah but we get punished and treated as drug addicts when all we're looking for is help. I just wanted my dr to prescribe a few Xanax for an upcoming root canal appointment because I have a long history of trauma and anxiety. I went to 3 of my doctors, they all refused. I can't afford to pay $100 for nitrous and I'm deathly afraid of needles from past traumatic events. I guess I'll just have to find another way to get them, which is simply a shame.

The Best Medication for Nerve Damage is Either Gabapentin or Lyrica. Lyrica is Way Stronger & More Effective than Gabapentin. Lyrica also is taken less often & there smaller pills than the Gabapentin. Lyrica Is Extremely Costly.
If You Don't Have Insurance That Covers Lyrica(Not Many Insurance Plans Do) & Your Not Financially Secure, Then Lyrica is Not the Best Option. Gabapentin is Cheaper, Most Insurance plans cover it & it does the job. Lyrica & Gabapentin Have A Very Similar Effect.
Unfortunately, in my experience with Gabapentins, (800mg tablets) They Were Way Too Strong 4 Me. Plus I Have a High Tolerance 2 These.
Best Bet Is To Try The Lyrica 1st. Hope This Helps....
Some Doctors don't like 2 prescribe lyrica cause it's a controlled substance. Schedule 4 or 5. Not quite Sure. Less side effects than Gabapentin. I seized out bad & almost died from the 800mg tabs of Gabapentin. 300mg-400mg 2- 3 Times Daily Is Much Safer & REMEMBER, LESS IS MORE....
Life stance... i do telehealth from Dayton, Ohio with psychiatrist from Louisville/Fort Thomas, Cinci. Dr AReynolds.
without any issue at all on 1st 'visit' received continuation of: clonazepam 2mg x4/day, Adderall 20mg x3/day, plus my saphris and added abilify. added also zolpidem for short term.
look up life stance, for psychiatry, they are all over Ohio.
And as mentioned... it's the way you handle yourself as well. just state you're needing a new psych that can continue 'said' meds. be calm concerned and again calm but kinda ... near tears, while anxiously depressed. calm, patient, and greatful for any and all help.
say to the person helping find doc for you, your ins, and continuing med needs.
NOW. I did state i am in Dayton Ohio...Please, i IMMEDIATELY, NEED a new pain clinic. i am on Dilaudid, Baclofen, and Lyrica.
CAN ANY/ALL respond with specific locations taking Anthem Dual Advantage? Really any leads and i can't ask about ins.
Pain Clinic (or?) for my ongoing healthcare for the chronic, end stage diagnosed: back, spinal, nerve, bone and joint issues.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Joseph (# 1)
U didn't answer one damn thing she asked
Applegate recovery in Bossier City, Louisiana Dr Brandy Peacock. She didn't even look at my records because I said I had clonazepam prescribed to me before but I lied and she prescribed me subutex 8 mg 90 a month and clonazepam 1 mg 60 a month. The visit and medicine filled & all free covered by Medicaid. I don't think that Dr Brandy Peacock is accepting anymore patients under Medicaid but you can self pay thought. She will allow new patients for self pay. It's well worth it because I don't know any, I mean any other Dr here in Shreveport Bossier that still prescribes 90 Subutex. And then if you want Clonazepam just tell her & she'll prescribe it to you.
Re: Jeremy (# 9)
Good luck w/that. I'm in Ohio also & the way my Dr sees it if I was addicted to pain meds then I could easily become addicted to benzos. I've been to a few Drs due to severe anxiety but no one is willing to help. Good luck my friend.
Re: E (# 21)
Any prescription over consumed is lethal. People have respiratory failure mainly due to ABUSE of their medicine. When taken and prescribed properly the treatment is very effective and people are successful. So politely sir I'm saying your info was based upon an a false statistics that came from trauma units. So people that over consumed a long with poor doctrine created a big mess of bad health care. Sir it has been positively life changing being prescribed Subutex and a low dose benzos. That specific treatment keeps me mentally and physically sound along with my love for God. I pray this message inspires you to debunk false stats bc people are suffering and I tell you sir this battle of wits shouldn't have any place in our doctrine community. How foolish it is to deprive people who sincerely need that treatment just bc a person of no relation to the patient was foolish with their medicine. I need medical based upon my medical needs. Not punishment. Just think about this. And truly put yourself in my shoes. I kindly challenge you to seek the truth and I pray with whole heart and soul that no man be deprived of any medical care. In the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Try Centers for Effective Living. You have to talk to one of their therapists first (twice) then you can talk to a nurse practitioner. I had good luck with Melissa
