Doctors In Michigan That Prescribe Methadone (Page 6)

I'm interested in finding a private doctor's office (not a clinic) that will prescribe methadone. I can't afford these clinics! Does anyone know of a doctor???

Hi Dianna, methadone is not an expensive drug. I just filled a script for 120 pills at Rite Aide for $21.00 without any insurance. Your clinic should allow you to come in less because of your clean urines. I don't see why your hardship would not be approved but you never know in these clinics. I know they make up their own rules and pretty much do what they want. One rule might apply to one person and then not the next. We should not be treated this way. I was always a working addict and it is so difficult when you're working.

Hey Dianna, I don't remember if I told you about Dr. Idress, 8 mile and dequindre in Warren. He is right off the freeway, I-75. This might be another option but it is twice a month. 586-755-7200.

Mickey, what doctor do you go to? I currently go to a DR's office myself. Your DR's fee is very reasonable perhaps your doctors would be good to have info on. Please let me know. Thanks

Thanx again Pam, I'm going to call a few "suboxen "drs to see if they'll prescribe methadone here in Brighton ,I'll let u know and keep this updated, if we pool our info, maybe we can have some resemblance of normal living. And not live day to day in a line. Xoxod

OK Bri, you live in Warren and go to a daily methadone clinic in Warren. Did you call DR. Idree's at 8 and dequindre. That is where I went until a couple of months ago, let me know I will then find you a doctor with reasonable fees. Do you have insurance that you can use?

I'll try calling again tomorrow on friday. But the doctors are saying that they can only prescribe for pain management and managing the pain of an addict because of previous drug abuse doesn't count so I don't know of I should lie our what. I have blue care network for insurance so everytime I go see another doc I have to switch with my insurance this really is turning into sucha headache. But thanks for your help I really appreciate it Pam ;-)

Bri, I originally went in for addiction and paid cash. $225.00 first visit, 75.00 every two weeks after. Then when I started with insurance it was billed for pain but talk to Karen. Dr. Pinson I went right in told him I was already on meth for pain. He took X-rays and now I go in once a month. I do have medical issues so meth for pain is not a far stretch. Good luck people just can't live like this.

You say Dr. pinson I thought I was calling the guy on dequindre Dr Idrees. Sorry I just wanna get my facts straight before I call. IM also on 105mg is that to big a dose for these docs? Thanks again Pam.

Hey Bri, Yes DR. Idrees in the doctor on 8 mile and dequindre. Dr Pinson is in madison heights. Dr Idrees doesn't go that high I think he is 60ml, but you can tell him you are there for addicition because he is a addiction specialist. If DR Pinson takes your insurance, he might be better. You just go in tell him you are already on your dose, he takes xrays so if he takes your insurance he might be better. You only go in once a month. I went in with back pain. This just get more confusing doesn't it.

hey pam been trying to get ahold of someone at that office all day. the phone just keeps on ringing again and again. could you give me the number of that other doctor or maybe just his first name also so I can look him up myself. I swear this just keeps getting harder every day. but thanks for your help you are truly appreciated.

Hey Bri, DR. I is open Mon, Wed, Fri. Not sure about Sat. Sometimes the phone does ring a long time. No answering machine & no voicemail. There are two different offices that use the same phone. Karen is who you want to talk to. You are probably better off calling after noon, 586-755-7200. Now Dr. P is248-589-1770. If you want I can call them Monday. I will find out about your insurance and about addiction or pain. Let me know. If you want to do it that's fine

Hey Bri, I was not able to check with doctors today. I am soooo sorry. My son's car was broke down so I helped him with that. This also included babysitting and taking his wife to and from work. I promise I will do this tomorrow and get with you. Once again I am sorry.

OK Bri, I have been trying DR. Idrees and no answer. I dont' understand because another office works from the same phone lines. When I saw him last he had taken a few day off because he was sick maybe it has something to do with that. I'll keep trying. Dr. P takesyour insurance. It pays office calls and X-rays and whatever else you may need.You can go in tell hime you have back problems, your doctor prescribes you meth and he will take a few xrays. Not much shows up on them or you can tell him its for addiction. I heard he helps some people and then not others. I went in told him I was looking for a doctor with better hours and that I was on meth for pain. I had no problems. DR Alyison works there I don't know if you can see her on first visit but I would ask, she's way cool and you go in once a month and he prescribes higher doses. So it's something to think about.
