Doctors In Michigan That Prescribe Methadone (Page 4) (Top voted first)

I'm interested in finding a private doctor's office (not a clinic) that will prescribe methadone. I can't afford these clinics! Does anyone know of a doctor???

I've never ever been to this site or any like it and I was searching sites for a friend of mine and after reading this thread of comments I'm on page 5 I just want to say Pam, you are a true Angel for offering your time and information to complete strangers!!! It really says a lot about who you are and I think you're pretty special and COMPASSIONATE AND ALSO very rare !

I was put on pain meds at a young age. I tried to use other methods to reduce pain for a couple years but it isn't cutting it anymore. I have resorted to taking opioids, but I do have chronic pain and supporting paperwork, but I lost insurance and can't afford to got around spending thousands on specialists to tell me what I know of suggest what ive already tried. Please send me to a reasonable methadone doctor; im stable, responsible, never refilled early or anything. Just need unserstanding doctor, if you can give me more information regarding your suggestions it would help. Thanks

Bad idea, giving the Dr.'s name like that. Might just get the Dr. unwanted attention from DEA. It's illegal for him to prescribe Methadone just for addiction. If you have legitimate pain issues then he can legally prescribe. Whether you have an addiction or not do the doctor a favor and never say that in public if you want help from a doctor. There ARE doctors who will help you but try to be discreet. (Info. for the future is all, meaning simply that only ever talk about addiction anywhere (publicly at least) other than with your doctor. Discretion is important if you want a doctor to help you and risk his license. I've had my prescription for 4 years. A doctor told me essentially the same thing. Just a friendly tip.

Jessica, Get thee to a pain or methadone clinic as soon as possible!! like yesterday. You don't say your dosage but you are finding out about now- literally- you need methadone. You are gonna be sick. I see you fail to call and re schedule appointments. Big no no in the medical world. Obviously, the Dr. is punishing you for that. Even so, he's a jerk for not refilling your methadone rx. Personally. I feel it is not for controlling pain, it is meant for opiate addiction. I will be on it for life for that reason (been on it for 20 years now). Please, get off the methadone and find a different med. Otherwise, if you stay on opiates, chances are you will be needing methadone. It can be a very dangerous drug if not used correctly. Good Luck to you, Jessica. FYI- a clinic is the quickest route for you to avoid any sickness. if you don't, you will regret it. The longer you delay the sicker you will be.

Have any luck? In same boat/area. Was looking for moderate pain relief with longer half life...best results in my life have been low dose methadone and moderate dose oxycodone.

P450, lol. The opioid situation in US represents remarkable parody with alcohol prohibition...just like the drug war at large... The peoples best interest isnt being looked out for becuz people are very ill informed and susceptible to sensationalism... That said, what is your profession? I studied chem...

I live in Flint, MI. I have spinal stenosis and spondylothesis and had two back surgeries and i am in chronic pain. I was on fentanyl and my dr would not take me off them so i am looking for a new doctor. Thanks. {edited for privacy}

Tana, it says u can share clinic/Dr info, I'm in wi (north eastern) 1 hrs from green bay, any dr's u r aware of in my area who can help? Mine retired, & I have 4 breaks In Back / 1 is awful compression fract. I agree 100% w/ ur posr, thanks 4 saying what I've been telling people for last 4 years!!!
It's the street users who are OD" ing by mixing dones & benzo's, not realizing that methadone takes 4 hrs to b full strength, so let's pop a few valium right , they ruined it for the ones who need it, & never fail a UA, always have propper count, I feel ya! Please reply!!!
