Doctors In Michigan That Prescribe Methadone (Page 38)

I'm interested in finding a private doctor's office (not a clinic) that will prescribe methadone. I can't afford these clinics! Does anyone know of a doctor???

I am currently seeing a doctor a methadone Treatment Center. I am 28 weeks pregnant and they cut my dose in half. I need to see a doctor immediately who specializes in methadone because if I don't I am going to lose my baby because I am so sick everyday that need to use opiates in order to not go through I withdraw that would kill my baby.

Omg why did they cut your dose? Thats not good. They should know this. You need to contact someone high up there cuz if you're withdrawing at all then the baby is also and its worse like you said it could kill the baby..this is ridiculous. Maybe go to the ER . go to a new clinic if you can. Where are you? File a grievance at your clinic but please find a new one and go to ER i know alot dont help with methadone but being pregnant they should. Good luck sweety.

This dr prescibes methadone? I was in pain meds for 23 years then my dr in taylor closed with no warning after 8 years of being his paitent made his paitents stop cold turkey and says he lost my records so no new dr would take me. I have chronic pain and had to start going to a methadone clinic as an addict but im really there cuz i need something for pain and so im not sick from withdraw but i would rather find a dr that can give me methadone monthly or some other pain meds but i hear if you've been at a methadone clinic regular drs wont help you for pain ever again. Sorry this was long. Do you know he gives methadone?

I have been on Suboxone for the past 4 years with pretty good success, but that's the problem, I'm looking for more than 'pretty good'. I just want to feel comfortable after suffering a severe head injury due to a car versus tractor accident years ago. I started off with Norco 10 milligram which did not work well and moved up the ladder until I reached Suboxone. Part of the problem is my prescribing physician will only give me one a day. I think my body has gotten used to it. With great consideration, methadone may be the answer for a better life. After being on these medications for several years I'm not looking to feel high, just feel normal and comfortable. I'm hoping the methadone will help with my addiction problem as well as my discomfort. Can anyone suggest a doctor in or around Lincoln Park, Michigan? Thank you for reading.

I need to find a new doctor. I have been on methadone for pain management for almost 10 years now. I’ve been in the same pain clinic for 5 years with no problems but they recently stopped taking Medicaid and don’t want the attention of the DEA for cash patients either. I had to pick up my last 30 day script last week, fillable in a few days. I take 60mg of methadone/day for CRPS, Sacroilitis, and arthritis. I am 35 years old, I was first diagnosed with CRPS at 7. I have had inj's. and rhizotomies. I also take oxycodone 15mg twice a day as needed for break-through pain, Neurontin 800mg 3x a day, Motrin 800mg 4x a day (I used to get Naproxen but insurance won’t cover it), Progesterone and Folic Acid for hormone imbalances, Celexa 40mg once a day, and Xanax .5mg 3 times a day as needed for depression and anxiety.

My psych meds are taken care of, but I have just over 30 days to find someone to take over my pain meds. Please, if you still now if anyone in the metro Detroit area I would really appreciate the information.

BTW prior to needed a new doctor I was seeing Michigan Neurology Associates.

I am desperately looking for a Dr. Who will prescribe methadone for my intense DDD and my severe arthritis in my left leg.My dr.says to "fight the pain" I stand in line at store n cry cuz it hurts so bad.Want to fire my Dr. N get new one did u have any luck???

I am also on time released Morphine Sulfate or Fentanyl. I am suffering from end stage liver disease and need pain relief. I was cut off COLD after my doctor announced his retirement during my appt. Royal Oak, Southfield or surrounding area. If I hear first I will post back. Gods speed.

sorry no such thing these days all they want is to give you is steriod shots which do nothing and tell you your must be all in your head. I wish they could have my pain for a couple of weeks then see what they say.

Looking for a Dr. in the southern most part of the U.P. of Michigan to prescribe methadone for pain/addiction. I'm pain pill dependent cause marijuana is not legal.
