Doctors In Michigan That Prescribe Methadone (Page 31)

I'm interested in finding a private doctor's office (not a clinic) that will prescribe methadone. I can't afford these clinics! Does anyone know of a doctor???

I have been on all kinds of opiates for going on 12yrs now. All started with two herniated discs, a failed surgery, etc. I'm having trouble finding a doc that will prescribe methadone and a decent breakthrough med. I am all legit with tons of records. Im in the same boat, ive been on methadone for about 6 years (at a clinic). i was an opiate addict, self medicating for bad depression, anxiety, OCD, and back pain, thanks to methadone I have been able to stop taking the 3-4 different medications that didnt work, and had terrible side effects. The problem is im paying over $300 a month at this clinic. thats not including my insurance (Humana) that covers NOTHING. the drug is actually cheap, 99% of the cost is the doctor, nurse, pharmacist, therapist (2 therapy sessions a month), and 2 drug panels a month, all things most of us dont want nor need.. in reality the drug should cost around $30 a month...the last thing i need in life is therapy, not to mention they are the WORST therapists around. I do not need any of that, all i need is the drug., i work, i pay taxes, i treat people right, i dont drink, smoke, or anything else, i feel we should be treated equally, and given a fair price. We need to band together and start a petition, things will not change unless we make them. im sick of working my ass off and having nothing just because the state wont mind its own buisness

I am in the same boat . Very ill approaching 60 . Just do not understand the treatment of Chronic Pain patients and the terrible treatment of anyone who even thinks of trying what is suppose to be legal medical Cannabis . If you even mention it the State Hospitals or any pain clinic will through you out . It is not unheard of for patients to die in withdrawals that are too weak to take them . God have mercy on our culture and State . There is no where to go for medication problems at all that is inpatient . The U of M will not even prescribe methadone for pain any longer and like you said it is dirt cheap if it works . Subutex is easy to get but expensive . Myself I can not tolerate it .

We need a law like Co that states other Doctors must continue your care unless 2 verify it is life threatening in court . They protect any patient on any dependent medication for over a year there I have heard . Jails should be required to continue any dependent medication so many have died in the system . God Bless . IE the case in McComb County now and not the first I have heard of just nobody cares they think were bad people . How wrong they are .

My doctor just shut his door with no notice.we have not been successful at finding or getting a doctor who would write my methadone. I really need to get my medicine to be able to work and other every day duties.not easy in pain. Along with the miserable pain there to us withdrawal. So are you able to just make an appt. And've seen asap or at least not a long waiting list? I have Medicaid McLaren.

How much did he give you im on a very high amount but think if it was pills I could be on a lower dose my methadone clinc recent shorted me 50mgs on 3 or make take homes a combined 150mgs and wouldn't do anything about it

Where is your dr. from n does he prescribe methadone? i live in tx but my family lives in michigan and with my health like it is, which is not good id luv to spend my life around my families. i already found dr's for my health issues, just have found a dr in michigan for my methadone....n suboxene n subutex gives me rashes. for sum reason i need methadone for multiple chronic pain problems and if u can offer a name or even number to a dr. that would be my great. {edited for privacy} ty..

Alpena has a methadone clinic now at sacred heart rehab. I was there on vaction and guests dosed there, they needed the clinic there. When i lived there they had a shortage on doctors. It was so hard getting pain meds. However, the clinic is legal safe and cheap when u think about how much it cost to get these meds. 75 bucks a week is cheap. Good luck

I live in Boston I am on a 170 mg of done. The only way I can get it is through take homes. You need clean swabs.. Showing up for group.Massachusetts pays 100 percent. Your state won't pay?
