Doctors Advise

My dr. Wants me to stop my 200mg trazadone taken nightly for depression anxiety and sleep. And start taking 15 mg temazepam at night. Is it safe to just stop the trazadone like that.

Stopping it abruptly might cause some withdrawal and rebound effects, but your doctor might be hoping to stave those off with the addition of the Temazepam.

It is a benzodiazepine that can be used to treat the same types of problems, but it does carry the risk of being habit forming. It may also cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability.
