Doctors Willing To Prescribe Pain Medication In Columbus Ohio Or Springfield Ohio (Page 2) (Top voted first)
UpdatedMy doctor had a stoke and was prescribing me 30 mg a day of methadone for a chronic pain syndrome..I am a 51 yr old that has never abused drugs!! Does anyone know a dr. or pain dr. that is willing to prescribe this to me..Either in Col, ohio, or Springfield ohio!! Thanks for your time!!
Tina,
I am sorry you need to be seen at one of the university hospitals (ask for their top orthosurgeon the one in charge who is a professor for example) in order for your neck and cervical area to be evaluated immediately.
Have you had anterior or posterior cervical fusions? I am presuming they are posterior if so please tell me if the same surgeon did this and what discs; I hope it was below C4. I have real concerns about the status of your neck falling forward especially with breathing and apneic events that can occur with this type of damage.
I have had (top ortho in America and likely Europe now too) with the head of Orthosurgery at Baylor Methodist here in Texas and NEVER would anyone have four FBS on a cervical area, you need evaluation FIRST. I am deeply concerned for you and need you to respond:
1. That you are still around and suffering. I know you hurt, I do and sympathize. I am suffering. I feel you.
2. That you are getting with that surgeon asap. With what you sound like an admission through the ER in this case might be best--this way you get to see him or her immediately you really need this.
A surgeon who fails and repeats is a danger a real danger. He or she for even the great surgeons cannot fix pain at certain levels of dysfunction they can fix neuro function not pain should have referred you to who they use when one of their surgery clients needs continued pain control.
Tina do this ok? This is your life. I'd rather see this functional deficit addressed and then your pain for prior to my hardware, natural bone (he broke a huge ostephyte that formed between C 5 and C 5 and harvested that as well, 4 screw fixation I was becoming apneic. I'd stop breathing during the day and not know it.)
As you know when we are on opioids that is not a good thing ok. Please do this. I am glad I saw this and pray you are well enough to read this and move forward with a good surgical consultation.

Hi veron. I've been trying everything. .......It's funny I live in Colorado. They legalized pot but I can't get pain meds! Lol...... I understand why they got so tuff on the laws. Kitz isn't being honest. If he served in Vietnam, there's no way his records were " burned up" in the St Louis fire. The fire occurred several years before VN even started. And the records that WERE burned were WW2 files.
If your looking for methadone go see dr.julie chen in westerville Ohio, she's not the best but is very willing to give out methadone
Try suboxone, it is way less addictive, easier to get, is a true opioid, does not mess with your head like methadone does, take home prescription, helps with pain like oxycodone level, and is much easier to get off. People like it; one just needs to take it as it is prescribed. Methadone is completely synthetic and react with other drugs easier, making it more dangerous. Takes less time to not feel nasty. Has a better success of not relapsing. I have seen a opiate addict get off all of it in ONE week and one week to feel no withdraw symptoms. Easy stuff compared to "liquid handcuffs," methadone.
Blanchard Valley Hospital Pain Management in Findlay. Dr. Bakos is WONDERFUL. Been going to him for almost 4 years with no problems, then I missed a U/A and got kicked out of the program. This just happened a couple days ago and I am freaking out reading all these comments. I too have chronic back and hip pain and need my meds daily. Even my doc didn't know who to refer me to. Starting to make me sick!
Miranda, I may have a name of a pain dr in Lima Ohio but you will need a referral for sure, and now these days you are not going to get a doctor who is going to prescribe high doses of narcotics, it's only going to get worse.
Call your local VSO/Veterans Service Office, request they assist you with obtaining new DD-214 and help finding your records. Also anywhere you received help from like Job Family service etc. may have copy of your DD214 from previous assistance.
I am sorry, I see how they treat veterans and anybody else who is not a judge or mayor, etc. You can't beg, they make you a psuedo junkie and when I have my 4 pills I can function, the same # I had 14 years ago, so how am I a junkie? Mix all the anti-depressants so they can win vacations. I am not sorry for your service, I am appreciative, but I am sorry for their service to you and they still don't see this is why over 10% of pain patients kill themselves. It's 100% pure unadulterated bulls***. What a country now eh?
Would have because you would have been paid by the military when you were in nam.. in the military. I believe Social Security is taken out of you when you are in the military.. There has to be somewhere that they can dig up some records that can prove that you were in the military. Do not let them off the hook. Go to your State representative and ask for their help.
About 10 years ago I had went through a divorce and had purchased all of the insurance that I could buy and should have been able to transfer over to Medicare but they were telling me that I had missed my special enrollment and was going to have to wait for a year as well as pay an extra fee every year. I have read very carefully and knew that I had a special enrollment period when I could no longer purchase my insurance and my rep was able to help me within days after I struggled for months trying to get covered to get surgery done. May God bless you and help you get your needs met. Thank you sir for your service. People care much more about our vets now than ever before and I believe that you can get your State Rep to really work with you and get them to turn over some paperwork. Because you were paid I truly believe that there has to be records somewhere.
The best pain management Dr in the Cincinnati area is closing his practice in October. I just found out. I was a patient of his for over 11 years and then had no insurance and got stuck at Cincinnati VA. Dr. Nilesh/Neil Jobalia at Cincinnati Centers for Pain Relief in Hamilton. He diagnosed me and gave me a life and then VA took it away. The VA dr finally referred me out cause my case is too difficult and I was going back to him when I found out he's closing. I have central pain syndrome and I'm dying. I have a disabled husband and now I have nowhere to go. I can't do injections anymore. Had many epidurals and facets and the last 2 almost killed me from a bad reaction. I had radio frequency ablation that went horribly wrong where I couldn't walk from the pain and had to get nerve blocks. I just want the life I had with Dr jobalia.
My father was in the army for year's, all of a sudden they could not find his paper work, he did not get ANY of his retirement, medical, NOTHING!!! We fought for year's, we had his paper work, but for some reason, that was not good enough! He passed away and got the whole army funeral service, but that was it!!! Talk about not fair, my father risked his life everyday and when he got out was told "too bad, if we can not find OUR paper work, you can fight till you die and it won't do you any good!" and it didn't!!! WHAT A SHAME TO TREAT OUR VET'S AFTER THEY HAVE FOUGHT FOR OUR COUNTRY, RISK THEIR LIVES, LEFT THEIR FAMILIES TO DO THIS, AND THIS IS THE THANKS THEY GET WHEN THEY GET HOME!!! I DO NOT UNDERSTAND HOW SOME OF THESE PEOPLE CAN SLEEP AT NIGHT IN THEIR BED'S, WHEN THE PEOPLE THAT GAVE THEM THE RIGHT TO EVEN HAVE THAT BED ARE SLEEPING ON THE STREET AND DOING WITHOUT EVERYTHING THEY TRULY NEED!!! THEY SHOULD ALL BE ASHAMED OF THEIR SELVES! THESE VET'S NEED AND DESERVE ANYTHING AND EVERY THING THEY NEED OR EVEN WANT! IF IT WERE NOT FOR THEM, I DON'T KNOW WHERE WE WOULD BE! THANK YOU TO EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU!!! MY FATHER DIED WITHOUT GETTING ANYTHING HE NEEDED, DESERVED, AND FOUGHT FOR!!!
Re: Nana (# 61)
Love Dr. Henry. Great Dr. He now has an office in Lewis Center Ohio off 23 behind Menards in a Mt Carmel medical facility. There are 2 MD'S, 1 PA AND 1MA (I THINK).
I have had the worst of times with Pain Mgmt., that is until my PM doc lost his license and the DEA shut him down for good for being too greedy. Long story-if u wanna look it up-it's Dr. Chirban of Phoenix, AZ.
Anyhow, I had been prescribed 200mg per day of methadone-that was and is the only narcotic I was being prescribed (it is a bit high, as I am now only on 110mg). I have multiple pain problems but unfortunately there are those who ALWAYS HAVE TO MAKE THINGS DIFFICULT FOR A GOOD SYSTEM THAT WAS PUT INPLACE FOR ALL OF WHO ARE TRULY SUFFERING-pain management! Long story short, I ended up going to a METHADONE CLINIC (where I have very strict rules to follow and if I mess one up I don't get to keep privileges such as take-home doses). They also forced me off of the benzo I was on for panic disorder for 15 years-something I was dealing with way prior to my pain issues. It's either get some pain relief or freak out in public or vice-versa cuz u ain't gettin' both, baby!
Frankly, I'm tired of being treated like a junkie and a freak when I am a decent person, at least I know that! Plus, methadone tabs vs. liquid form are a total different animal. Especially here in Phoenix. The cherry flavored Methdose (generic form) is totally different from the Methadone (name brand) which is a white powder that the nurses mix with water-lasts all day as opposed to the cherry flavored Methadose, which seems to taper off after a couple hrs., at least to me it does. I had experienced the "real" Methadone at a clinic in FL that I was guest dosing at.
Well, everyone is different and has their own way of metabolizing things.
Any VA Doctor .
Hi my name is Chris. I'm new Here. I got introduced to Suboxone. And my life has taken a turn for the GOOD but when I went to the Dr they said it will be $300 for my first visit then $ 200 each month then almost a $1000 to get it filled WTF. They call themselves trying to help someone but really they know that people that want good for themselves will do it. I have been on A DO RIGHT PROGRAM for about three weeks now and would really like to keep it up. I'm disabled and can't work. My buddy that was helping me each month lost his dad. The next day he couldn't take it and took his own life, GOD BLESS him. PLEASE HELP ME. I want more out of life. THANK YOU VERY MUCH call to get info. {edited for privacy}
This may or may not be good information I did a Methodone Publica search (good through 2012)

needing either pain management or family dr who will prescribe oxycodone in the Dayton ohio area.I live in chronic pain have had 4 neck surgeries requiring 2 more herniated disc bone spur on spinal cord and my head is falling forward. Now I believe if you have enough medical reason to take oxycodone in order to have a semi quality of life you should be able to get it so please some one can you give some names of family dr or pain management that would help me.
SH,
I am allergic to that drug (Methadone) and as a professional nurse won't take it even if not too much stigma.
The SSDI is popped due to a work attempt, comp did not pay my mileage for close to 20 years, you can figure that out when I went to California 5 years and 10 years to Houston from 700 miles away. I won this in court but had one work attempt to lay me off in less than 5 weeks, yes DON job but SGA means also that you stay working not fired.
I've heard that it works very well but you may need adjustments I am glad we have some answer if not the perfect one the best for now..
