I know what you mean by being labeled. Oxycontin is a great drug for pain relief with a break thur med. With all that is going on it is hard on people who really need help. I was on it for over ten years, boom taken off. The doctor said the fda is cracking down on us. I went thur hell. I do have insurance now, but now need a doctor in Columbus Ohio. I don't care what they put me on as long as it works. I am 63 and never failed a drug panel period. The pain management wants me to repeat the injections again. I have done this three times before. I don't want number 4. I have went to surgeons that said my health is too bad to do effective surgery. I have my records to show my next doctor. But I don't really want to waste time on 'no we don't give strong meds out'. Please help if you can. Thank you very much.

Job and family services have transportation to get to doctor appointments. I don't think you can be in a small town and find anyone. I lived in Meigs County and had to go to wva for my doctor. So I hope this reply will help you.

Any VFW can help you get a copy of your DD-214 and you can even request a copy online now. I helped a friend and he got it in 2 days. Even ones destroyed by fire are accessible.

I am moving to Hamilton, Ohio in 2 weeks and have been on Opana 40mg, twice per day, Norco 10mg, 2 times per day as well as Klonopin 2mg, 1/2 in the morning, 1/2 at 2pm and a whole one at bed time. I have enough meds to last for 8 days after the move, an do not even know where to begin. I am on SSI and in Ky if you quaify for SSI, you automatically receive medicaid. Is this the case is Ohio? Or where do I go to apply? can ANYONE tell me if I need to apply for medicaid, aside from transferring my SSI case? Also, where do I even begin to find a Dr that will treat my pain, as well as mh many other health issues??? I am feeling sooo overwhelmed and any and all help would be appreciated!! I WILL be bringing my medical records that date back as far as 20 years so hopefully this will help. Who knows?

Hi, I live in Columbus & it's like the hardest city to get pain Meds! My husband & I both suffer from chronic pain. Lots of issues! I won't get into all of it! My husband is going thru hell. We r looking for new doc. He's been on Meds 16 yrs & has missed one pill count, ran out early twice & in 16 yrs they found marijuana in his blood! He only tried it cause it's suppose to help! I do know a doc that's pretty easy to get a script! Have u found anyone yet? If u respond we will talk more. Maybe u know someone & we can help each other! I'll check for a response.

I agree and I would not take a high doses. I have a high tolerance because Im ADHD however I can tolerate some pain. I just have cervical degenerative disc disease and with the slightest cool airway I sleep and/or certain activities throughout the day make it hurt severely. It's not a high dose of anything I'm requesting and I don't want just any pain pill, 10mg Vicodin or Norco works better than 30mg Percocet for my neck issues. I'm just very sick of the medical field making humans suffer, be miserable and have a low quality of life due to drug issues in the world. They have went from one extreme to another and more people are on illicit drugs and dying since they started the war on drugs, sad.

Hi guys, I'm from Australia and I have to say I am just gobsmacked at the horrendous stories I am reading on this forum. The USA is unique in its history of opioid prescribing and it simply does not exist down here in Oz. It is considered bad medical practice to medicate with opioids for chronic pain as it is inevitable that the required dosage will increase over time, and this leads to a whole host of horrible issues. It is unfortunate that your citizens have been deceived by the drug companies into thinking that long-term heavy opioid therapy is safe and non-addictive. You should be able to have complete trust in your medical professionals, but however this crisis has come about, and whoever is to blame, there are now thousands of people left without proper support to recover from opioid dependency. Sounds like government authorities have pretty much pulled the pin and left people hanging. No doctor is doing you a favour by prescribing you all the opioids your heart desires, there is only one way that can go and that is downhill. If you Google any other country on earth a read up on their opioid prescribing policies you will see just how far out on a limb the USA is. Your private health system plays a huge part in this as it is very much consumer driven and for profit. A travesty of justice has been inflicted on US citizens and its not by Obama or the DEA or any other govt. body, its by the drug companies and their deceptive practices about opioid safety that started years ago. The damage has now been done, and people need real help right now but the more I read the more it looks utterly hopeless. People in Aus often say how awesome it is that you can get so many 'pain pills' in the US, and that we should be able to do that. Be careful what you wish for, humans are really bad at recognising what isn't good for us sometimes...

Scary, if you can get to Canfield Ohio Doctors pain clinic might be your only luck, I used to go there and they gave me methadone. But it is very difficult to get any opioids anywhere anymore. Good luck and hope this helps. 30 mg is not a very high dose, I used to be on 160 mg a day.
