I need to find a Dr. To write a Rx. For hydrocodin for chronic back pain, where can I find one in Southern Louisiana?

Please leave the people with the pain management a long they have they Mr I Xray. Ct scans please go after the ones that abuse it all we want is to take care of our self get up out of bed and take care of our self.. And you have the Dr. Not want to take care of us..please let us get up in the morning and take care of us please.

I am in Lafayette la area. I was seeing a pain mgmt doc who wasn't prescribing proper meds. I told him several times at office visit the med he had me on not helping. I got away from him because he is rated 1/2 star out of 5. I am looking for a doc who will prescribe proper meds for back pain,sciatica, and neck pain. I am disabled so I can't pay cash. I have Medicare&medicaid. Anyone know a doc that accepts insurance? I sure can't find any in my area

Country1965, I have put a link below that might help. You need to call Pain Management Drs in your area. Be sure and tell them that you have Medicare first, then tell them you also have Medicaid. It is much easier to find a dr that accepts Medicaid if you also have Medicare.

Dr. Larry Daniels at David Raines Community Health Centers in Bossier City. Just call 318-227-3350 extension 2100 and ask for Paula. She will set you up an appointment. He takes medicaid, cash, and private insurance.

Dr Michael Haydel on Dunn St in Houma,La...he takes medicare or cash(150.00)U see him every 2 months & have to take UA every other time

After the year it took to find a stability-encouraging balance of pain therapies, I neglected my own knowledge and strayed to paths further from controlling my pain and promoting my overall welfare. I have been 6+years without professional help on the matter and fear my records are too old for the helping types in my area of louisiana. I'm on The drawing board for getting my pain stabilized and need to step it out deliberately, and in a manner that gets me back to useful meds and a supervised regimen.
Advice needed...quickest initiation of imaging damaged/troublesome area as I'm sure it is needed....
See as short a chain of useless doctors as possible. ..my insurance allows me to self refer but likely not all doctors do. Any docs that dont (southwest louisiana )??
Return to reasonable and necessary doses of at least my prior meds, And quickly adjust to maximize relief while allowing safe, unhindered work.
Longerterm***adjust medication Types/dosages/combinations in search of safer treatment of longevity.
Experiment with alternative treatments once pain levels are predictable and stable
That's my plan but I need help putting the steps together. I know what works for me and would like to have higher quality of life when I achieve it. Advice / guidance and referrals are needed and welcome

BJenkins, you will need updated diagnostic test results. Since you have not been taking pain meds for 6 yrs, you won't need the same meds you were taking then or at the same dose. Any new doctor will start you out on what they think you need and go from there. Most pain management doctors require a referral, but not all of them. You will have to sign a pain contract, submit to random drug panels, etc.

I could use the help as well sir. torn rotator cuff right shoulder with constant dislocations, left broken elbow that is not repairable due to waiting, bercides in both, 2.5cm maxillary sinus cyst that was accidentally found for trigeminal nueralgia Tn1 & Tn2. Central nervous system damage due to Trigeminal Nueralgia pain.. VERY PAINFUL!! Thank You sir!! I'm currently getting 120 norco 10/325 per month. But dr lets me run out nearly every month for nearly a week at times. Also Tegretol & Baclofen for nerve pain taken only when needed due to serious side effects. Erectile dysfunction & no reach of climax anymore, no drive, short term memory loss, major fatigue, dizziness, vertigo like symptoms, constant nausea. All side effects started when prescribed the tegretol. Just in need of a doctor who is consistent with his medications & could use something a lot stronger as trigeminal nueralgia is supposedly the worst pain known to medical practice as per my neurologist I'm seeing in Gonzales, La Via St Elizebeths. hello Louisiana posters. i posted. a link for u all to sign and even share your story.
The link i posted is for gov. to not stop production of opiods by 25% in 2017.
admin is saving for review. to my dismay i checked and this petition has aboit 300 supporters, so all of you suffering please sign. if u want to sign it now, just google the phrase above. I post in the Co thread bevause thays where iive now, but im dedicating the next 2 days to get this petition on the threads that chronic pain patients being denied fired, etc....

I was on Suboxone for about 5 years. The way I got off of it was by weaning myself down and then running out, intentionally. I had to have nothing to do for like a week of intense withdrawal. Cold and hot flashes every couple minutes. Jerky legs. No sleep. I took a lot of baths and a lot of vitamins. And immodium. I took at least a month to start feeling normal and even then I was intensely tired. It's been 7 mos since. I've had a couple minor relapses but it was nothing at all to stop. I wish I'd known how much harder it would be to get off subs than anything else and I never would've gone on them.
