I have mouth cancer that is very painfull and have been taking opioids/pain meds for many years. My tolerance is extremely high, so to have the meds actually work on the pain i'm needing a lot more than most. Just a guide of what i thank would help me and my history with pain meds: About 360 roxys 30mg, 180-240 lortabs 10mg, 90 morphine er mg, 150 xanax 2mgs, and 180 somas, which is not a lot to me. Is there any Dr. in las vegas, NV willing to write like this any more? #CANCER PAIN IN VEGAS

I read all 4 pages of this discussion and only saw one Dr.'s name. Dr Tennant in West Covina??? Did you get any reliable referrals of Dr.'s that will write for pain meds, muscle relaxers and anti-anxiety meds? Thanks!

Yes, I still live in Vegas. Current doctor keeps telling me he knows I am in pain but his hands are tied from the DEA! On my last visit he did tell me I was welcome to look for another doctor, that he understood.

I have 2 slipped discs in my spine from a previous abusive relationship I have been on perk 10s for two years straight they dont do anything now. I was referred to pain mangement but it is taking months to see him im in extreme pain. Does anyone know of a good doctor that will prescribe me something stronger and doesnt take forever to see patients??

Bill, here is just 1 of the many problems folks face with pain. The DEA also has doctors educated in pain/chronic pain management. Therefore they seem to rule on how much the limit is. Now keep in mind these same tax payer DEA agents go out and get so dunk they can not stand up. Rather strange how American's see things. They do seem to complain more but that may not be a bad thing because it teaches others to find better results for managing pain. Someday God will get them back for they have no idea what journey you have been on. God Bless...

Honestly I think u should stay with that DR cuz thats is alot of narcotics in a month and I dont think you will find another DR that will prescribe that much. But how ever it doesn't hurt to ask your doc to up your meds or jus go to a couple diff doc JUST FOR OPINIONS but must tell doc what you are getting and its not helping you cuz you have been on so long and your doc really isnt helping you anymore and you are looking for a better doc thats willing to help you and keep u comfortable
