Doctors Willing To Prescribe Heavy Pain Medication In Colorado (Page 93)

Updated

I have a serious problem. My dr. had two patients start dr. shopping and has decided it is too big of a pain in his butt to continue prescribing, even though I have gotten MRIs and Xrays to prove my problems. I have over a half a dozen herniated discs in my low back, along with degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, scoliosis and arthritis in my facet joints. I am currently on5 30mg oxycodone a day for breakthrough and 60mg of methadone for my long lasting meds. I REALLY need a doctor in the Denver, CO area who will not judge me because of my age, thinking I'm just some drug seeker as I TRULY need my meds to function. I am even being placed on disability until I can get my back healed because if something doesn't change I will be in big time pain for the rest of my life. If ANYONE knows of a good doctor that prescribes strong meds willingly in the Denver area please let me know. I am in desperate need of help as I am going to be SCREWED if I cannot find a good doctor. SOMEONE please help me with a doctor!!!!!

1. This sick of junkies person has to be related in some way to CPR... I never went there, so I can't say for sure, but yes, I think it's C.
2. I know I'm not an "old timer", but I'm not here to hurt anyone or drug seek.
3. SOJ... Karma is a bitch.
4. Don't let this guy cause friction amongst you... He is obviously enjoying getting a rise out of everyone... The trademark of a true bully. That's the only way he can feel better about himself. I say we ignore his crap.

Way to Go Rain!! Could not have said it better myself. Btw, I was not "fired" from CPR, I left willingly and on good terms. I was happy there and was ALWAYS compliant with my contract. I left for one reason: and his name starts with a C and ends with an S. I wouldn't put it past this person to be reading and/or posting. What happened C? Not going to be a millionaire after all cuz everybody saw thru your bs? No ID required to pick up narcotics for the first time..really? Your actions have already hurt a lot of people. Sry..had to get this off my chest.

JaneyGirl,
WOW just signed on after a day break. My Goodness, there's some reading to do. Anyway I did post the petition info and contacting the president info, but people will have to do some backtracking to even see it. I was hoping we could get something positive done for all of the chronic pain patients.

Whoa!!?? Charles at CPR doesn't make people show and ID the first time they pick up their narcotics?? I'm pretty sure that's a federal offense... So he could be jailed... Hope the DEA checks THAT out... Talk about illegal!!!

This is hilarious. I like Dr. S because he did not herd me in and out like cattle. He took my BP properly. He prescribed my other meds (non-narcotics such as ones for seizures, anti-nausea.

I like Dr. S because he will do labs on me, properly monitoring me.

I like Dr. S because I can afford him.

I never had my meds reduced at CPR, I've never been questioned at a pharmacy or asked for more meds.

It takes a junky to know a junky. I wouldn't know what to look for in one as I am not one myself. Sounds like you got "fired" from somewhere and are bitter.

Seriously. Obviously this guy came from nowhere and has no life or just hates it so he wants to bash other people to make himself feel better. I'm pretty sure none of us care about what you have to say. And I don't think even 50% of us take oxycontin. Go use your energy for something productive. Because this isn't getting it done. And say whatever you want about my situation. I don't care what you think.

Lol I am with sickofjunkies cpr is going by the book and yes things changed there and for the better and got rid of most of you last month tammy2, mac, ect. Charles is actually a nice guy and very informative if you would have taken the time to talk to him and I have chronic pelvic pain and ra also and know that pain meds work but you have to do other things to bring your pain down also NOT JUST MEDS. I like what they are doing there at cpr they are smart and definitely got rid of a bunch of seekers so they can focus on the real patients without worry and so amanda doesn't have to deal with you guys anymore.

Thank you , Cpr will still be a pain management clinic Mr S will have to stop writing your little drugs .And I know for a fact your lying about letting him know exactly what type of clinic CPR was .I let him know and he goggle the forum .I quote ; Junkies uses these sites to score doctors now I know things are gonna stop , I wondered why so many minor pain patients came from CPR with pain med list .Plus he test you when you go and most fail , what narcotics don't you like ? If you know a bunch red flag slam dunk no points for Fuzzy or Rainbow

Oh lord... Sicko 1 and 2: stop trolling this site. No one cares what either of you think. Apparently both of you need to belittle others so that you can feel better about yourselves.
To everyone else: let's stop responding to these i*****... They are exhibiting classic bullying behaviors. Ignore them, and they'll go find another sandbox...

That's correct ...I can attest to the fact that I only had to supply my address on my visit.

Seriously...4 kids and 15 yrs pain mgmt.. I have NEVER met a office receptionist as unprofessional as Amanda...in every way! Besides presentation, a pure lack of desire to lift a finger, I could go on and on...worse was when she was talking to the entire waiting room about other patients. No names mentioned. but enough to know of whom she spoke. HIPPA anyone?

Lucy, please don't stoop to their level. Amanda is a nice person, yes HIPPA has been violated more times than I can count, but if you just talk to them about your concerns, they are addressed. Let's not attack a person based on what they choose to do with their life, how many children they have or how they choose to support their family. And I think the one poster is completely correct and I for one am not going to respond to any more posts by those two ignorant people!

You are right..I need to take the highroad. I wasn't attacking Amanda's personal life, that doesn't interest me in the least. I was just talking about her professionalism at work, that's all. I don't dislike her and I liked Leonard a lot. I was very content until....

I am officially done. Back to posting only helpful info. Thx for pointing that out!

It has come to my attention that several pain clinics, of which names I cannot mention, are being investigated, unbeknownst to them at this time. There is some information that I have been made aware of, some that I simply cannot share. The aforementioned pain clinic cpr, has appeared well on paper, however, several patients and health care workers have come forward regarding violations of privacy and slander, noted HIPPA violations. While the charting, drug panels, contracts, etc have shown to be followed carefully, there are other aspects of patient care that are just as important, if not more so. Patient privacy is extremely important in health care and a violation of this is punishable by law. All patients have a right to be their own advocate, in fact, they are encouraged to do so. Patients have a right to seek care with a Doctor or clinic in which they feel they are well taken care of in a safe and professional manner. I must say that I have seen and heard more than enough of my fair share of HIPPA violation and unprofessional behavior. I have been practicing law in the health care field for over a decade. Please feel free to direct any questions you may have to me. I truly hope you have all found a Doctor/ Clinic to continue your care where you feel comfortable and respected as it should be.

Cindy,
Big WOW!! Didn't read what was happening for a day, and got lots to read about. Anyway, sorry it wasn't the cream you're looking for, hope you got the name you needed. Posted the web info for a petition (also saw that Anon fighting for people also posted the petition info) and the web info for the white house front porch, so that perhaps people can let those in "power" know about some of the problems we are facing.

Anna,
I thought I was weird until I read your post about marijuana making you anxious and paranoid LOL. My previous doctor had suggested I try it, so I went, got the state medical card etc. Tried smoking and that didn't work for me at all (long and funny story). My caregiver suggested eating the butter, cookies etc., which did work great. Very helpful. Helped with sleep, eating, and also I was able to cut down on breakthrough pain medication.
I'm not very educated on it, but there does seem to be a large different in which strain of marijuana it is. I guess the growing of each kind is done for different purposes. With the new recreational approval, I just haven't bothered to even try to get any. When the state card registration was required, I felt comfortable with the process, because I knew I was within the rules, and I knew my caregiver who provided the marijuana. I was also told there's a difference between recreational marijuana and the medical.

Getting ready to check out the websites that you posted.
