Doctors Willing To Prescribe Heavy Pain Medication In Colorado (Page 82)
UpdatedI have a serious problem. My dr. had two patients start dr. shopping and has decided it is too big of a pain in his butt to continue prescribing, even though I have gotten MRIs and Xrays to prove my problems. I have over a half a dozen herniated discs in my low back, along with degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, scoliosis and arthritis in my facet joints. I am currently on5 30mg oxycodone a day for breakthrough and 60mg of methadone for my long lasting meds. I REALLY need a doctor in the Denver, CO area who will not judge me because of my age, thinking I'm just some drug seeker as I TRULY need my meds to function. I am even being placed on disability until I can get my back healed because if something doesn't change I will be in big time pain for the rest of my life. If ANYONE knows of a good doctor that prescribes strong meds willingly in the Denver area please let me know. I am in desperate need of help as I am going to be SCREWED if I cannot find a good doctor. SOMEONE please help me with a doctor!!!!!
Mtn Girl- Very well said!!
On one side, she seemed very happy to be busy! She mentioned it! But we all just need to respect these doctors. But plz don't be afraid to call and discuss your issues with them ?!?
Here an actual pain management clinic in Boulder they take medicade they do new kinds of treatment .There the other cash clinic in Denver .There is ten in Colorado Springs .Mapleton in Boulder takes every insurance but medicade but is cheap .
Tammy your legit patient no a junkie .I'd try another place if you leave cpr and now everyone jumps to them it may not last .If only 2 or 3 left no biggie but everyone seeking massive amounts of pills yea Dea gonna be all over them and restrict their amount.
I will call them and make a appointment but I am glad they will be able to help me with my RA and get ths t under control as well cause now my ra is causing ulcers in my eyes and I wwasn't aware that your eye was considered a joint but I will talk to them about management of my pain and everything else. I am sure they look at medical files and will know if you are just trying to get pills or actually trying to function without pain and help yourself, if anything I am happy to do ua's or pill counts whatever they want so they know I am legit and not a seeker. If you just want pills please just go somewhere else so you don't mess up our care, we are limited as it is now because of seekers and abusers. For now on mac, rainbow, ect lets get each other's email and email info cause now I think we messed up by putting this doc on here and I don't want anyone getting cut. I am sorry if this makes someone mad but we can't chance having what happened to mac and us happening again.
Wendy I am only on 5mg oxy ir and a control release naproxen along with hormones, ect. So not on a high amount like mac has to be but I had a hysterectomy that was suppose to help but made me worse and then found out I have ra do you think they would handle mmanagement of my pain and my other medical issues?
Tammy you can go anywhere your not consider high risk pill seeker .Rocky mountain in Aurora would help you .Pain management in Boulder will treat you for sure Mapleton will take you and anyone else not on large doses of oxycotin ir that refuses to take oxycotin long acting sends red flag to Dea .This is Burger King we can order wat we want to and if we run out early fill early they stopped all that crap.
Tammy2 I was thinkin the same thing cuz I gave certain ppl dr ryan info when he was at rocky mt even tho wen I went 2 my weekly apts we always lol and joked n he said after 2 apts wit me he got crazy busy so busy he left he was just a PA but I never told him I posted him on here but he said he was just way busy doin way 2 much as a PA and I was tryin 2 help mac and u but idk now I hope they dnt start cuttin here at SAS cuz I posted them here
Can we take them down before a bunch of people read about em?
I agree, and that wasn't my intention. I just wanted to help Tammy because I know they would help her. But rainbow can we all take off our posts that have to do with them?
Im nt sure how 2 do that or if we can
I guess I'm confused on why everyone is so worried?!? I'm not on oxy and that's not what I use... I use fentanyl and dilaudid?! Everyone is in need of different help. I'm sorry if its an issue to share good doctors. I will try to remove if u think it needs to b done?!
..... I just will be completely screwed if something happens to them. I am sure they like the business but they really just are PCPs and not pain management.
This is why I asked you for your email Mac. I didn't want to just put my Drs name out there, because people that are just looking for drugs do come on here and read the posts looking for a number they can call to get what they need.
I think we should keep making the point that this place isn't a free for all... There was one other guy in there before me. They were setting up his surgery schedule and had a ton of paperwork faxed over before he left... I got the impression that the dr cares, but he's not a pushover.
I hear you guys. And I think that they will appreciate business but will pick out anyone who is seeking. Because she clearly stated to me that she puts up with none of that but she can tell I'm not that person, I actually need the care. But I agree Cindy and Niki. They definitely care but they aren't pushovers and will find out if you're not legit so you might as well not even try.
I wld be 2 if anythin happens dnt take it the wrong im glad I cld help ppl but at the same time I went threw hell doin wat I need 2 do 2 get my meds b4 I found SAS and I told them wat I did everythin and why and they said its ok you are with us now and I wil be fine
I agree with all of u, that junkies should not even try these doctors at SAS! I don't and won't seek out meds. I'm sorry that this situation worries people :( Thought we were helping.
Tammy, I have been told by several doctors that I need a hysterectomy and by several doctors to NOT have a hysterectomy because there is no guarantee that it will cure or even help my medical problem I have a lot of pelvic and stomach problems and have had around 8 surgeries. I don't take a high amount of pain meds. Just oxycodone 10mg. I have to take a lot of nausea meds when I take pain meds because they make me so nauseous. Anyway, I've been trying to find a compassionate doctor for many years now. So many don't even listen to you... they're just going through the motions and guessing... or trying to put people on tons of anti-depressants. It's extremely discouraging and makes me just wanna give up on even trying to seek help and a better life for myself because. I wish I didn't feel this way...
Anna... One thing you COULD try is a partial hysterectomy... So they would take your uterus but leave your ovaries... So you still get the hormones. I had it done through my csection location... Using an epidural for anesthesia... And recovery was not bad at all. That way, if it doesn't solve your problems, at least you still have the hormones... Best thing I've ever done! (Assuming you're not trying to have children?)
There was a new study on the hysterectomy and they say that women who had chronic pelvic pain before actually got worse after the surgery. So from my experience I can say if you want more issues then do it but really it is a 50/50 chance on it working but you will and I mean WILL have painful bowel movements because of it for the rest of your life. And with a partial eventually like they told me you will have to get them removed also which means another surgery but the choice is yours. I hope that helped. {edited for privacy}
