Doctors Willing To Prescribe Heavy Pain Medication In Colorado (Page 80)

I have a serious problem. My dr. had two patients start dr. shopping and has decided it is too big of a pain in his butt to continue prescribing, even though I have gotten MRIs and Xrays to prove my problems. I have over a half a dozen herniated discs in my low back, along with degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, scoliosis and arthritis in my facet joints. I am currently on5 30mg oxycodone a day for breakthrough and 60mg of methadone for my long lasting meds. I REALLY need a doctor in the Denver, CO area who will not judge me because of my age, thinking I'm just some drug seeker as I TRULY need my meds to function. I am even being placed on disability until I can get my back healed because if something doesn't change I will be in big time pain for the rest of my life. If ANYONE knows of a good doctor that prescribes strong meds willingly in the Denver area please let me know. I am in desperate need of help as I am going to be SCREWED if I cannot find a good doctor. SOMEONE please help me with a doctor!!!!!

I'm actually driving to them right now! Do I just tell them what works best for me? I've never had a dr care bout what I need to live pain free from my RA?! I'm so thankful for you sharing info!

Yes tell them wat works I did and I got it they are good caring ppl and will help you let me know how it goes and your welcome .

Anyone on this thread have experience in Colorado Springs? I have back issues and was doing great on Norco (all I was taking) until my PCP quit prescribing all controlled substances. As I'm sure all of you on this thread know, Aleve Motrin Advil .. None of it helps.. Things were great and I was feeling great until he just stopped out right. I'm thinking about trying SAS health? But wondering if anybody has experience in Colorado Springs? Thank you

The thing is it's out of CPRs hands now. If the DEA or Kmart wants to flag me they can. But hopefully they won't. But I just need to stay positive and trust in God. If I was able to get my meds the same day I was supposed to, THE DAY AFTER being discharged, then I think not much else can bring me down. But I just hope nothing happens that is negative. It just sucks that a pen marking on the scripts gets me discharged. But I was wanting to get away from CPR anyway. They are a money machine, and now with the handshake they have with Assured Pharmacy it's just going to get worse. No place should charge $180 and not accept insurance, and then FORCE you to go to a pharmacy that uses the mail. Like that won't ever cause any issues.

I see a rehabilitation Doctor. Aka, pain doc. My neuroscience specialist said I needed long term pain management. But, he gives Percocet witch I had to almost beg for. I tired to tell/ ask him isn't this for short term pain? Idk...I guess I'm lucky enough to get that. His name is Doctor Stephen Wilson. He better Han nothing. He's also a cash Doctor, 150 for the first visit and then 100 there after.cheaper than Colorado's cash clinics...lol I'm a workman compensation case so they pay for my medical....

Not trying to bring bad news , just had my appt CPR .What the pharmacy new guy doing is cleaning up the clinic .There taking people off ir oxy and putting them on longterm med .There no high in long term release just pain control .There switching a lot of meds .As far as you getting flag in system there gonna do it by law they have to the pharmacist that wrote on them first will do it .There trying to get rid of junkies to achieve a good clinic rating .

They tried this before and some got changed and some stayed the same. So I am now guessing that dr. May either quit because he didn't agree with what they are doing or they made Leonard fire him because the new pharmacy guy knew dr. May would not do it the way the pharmacy owner wanted. I know they changed mine from 6 oxy ir 5mg a day to 3 oxy ir 10mg a day so I am on a low amount mg daily do you think sas will do that rainbow? I don't want the 10mg ones cause cutting them are hard since they are small. Mac do you still have my email address if so can you email sas' s info to me please?

Tammy2 Sas Health dnt have a website yet and they give u wat u want or wat works 4 u but they have 2 be ur PCP 4 ur pain meds call them tammy2 get in b4 they get 2 many ppl and dnt wanna do pain meds anymore

Hi Rainbow. I just made an appointment with SAS... They said it was two nurse practitioners that worked there and that I would see one of them. They said they didn't deal with pain management specifically though but I could still come in... I'm confused now if I should still go there or not?

But if u need pain meds they give them 2 u as lng as u dnt get them from another doctor bring ur records 3 ppl from this forum plus me get pain meds from they so just tel them wat wks 4 u and u will have them as your PCP.
