Doctors Willing To Prescribe Heavy Pain Medication In Colorado (Page 74)

I have a serious problem. My dr. had two patients start dr. shopping and has decided it is too big of a pain in his butt to continue prescribing, even though I have gotten MRIs and Xrays to prove my problems. I have over a half a dozen herniated discs in my low back, along with degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, scoliosis and arthritis in my facet joints. I am currently on5 30mg oxycodone a day for breakthrough and 60mg of methadone for my long lasting meds. I REALLY need a doctor in the Denver, CO area who will not judge me because of my age, thinking I'm just some drug seeker as I TRULY need my meds to function. I am even being placed on disability until I can get my back healed because if something doesn't change I will be in big time pain for the rest of my life. If ANYONE knows of a good doctor that prescribes strong meds willingly in the Denver area please let me know. I am in desperate need of help as I am going to be SCREWED if I cannot find a good doctor. SOMEONE please help me with a doctor!!!!!

The private doctors will not write higher oxycotin than 5 / 10 ir, if you go on long acting oxycotin you might if lucky get one to write 20 twice a day but they will take you off of your dose .I was on 120 a day long acting down to 20 mg long a day till cpr .They won't put their license on the line .I'm sorry it's bs look for the other cash clinic they are your only help for the amounts your wanting

I just started SAS HEALTH and I told them wat works 4 me and they gave ne it and they mite just ask them

You know it Tammy, i have been wanting to try and find another place and I can only pray to God that they will help me. And thank you Rainbow I will ask.... Do they have to be your only PCP? And also, would you mind telling me what you're on so that I can have an idea of how much they prescribed you? I'm just nervous they won't continue with what I have....

No I never went 2 CPR I was goin 2 kasier cuz I followed my old dr but then kasier just started actin dumb like oh we dnt wanna do medicaid we dnt wanna do pain meds or they wld make me wait 3-4days after my refil was do

Dnt be nervous they are just a husband and wife team no PA'S just them 2 they are very understanding and they listen I use them 4 total PCP care all tha meds I told them I was on and wk 4 me they put me on but u cld call them and ask or just wait 4 ur appt

It's pretty much impossible not to be nervous..... I told her how my PCP stopped managing my pain because of the higher ups telling him to stop and she should "there is no "can't" continue prescribing, only won't"..... She said he CAN'T not treat your pain, but she isn't run by the executives up top, so hopefully that is good. I am just nervous because if they don't write my meds I literally will be unable to go to school or do anything but withdrawal and then be in crippling pain all day every day.

Mac lets see how your appointment goes tomorrow and if you still need a Dr I will email you her info. She is in Arvada. Last year we tried everything from oxy to fentanyl patches to try to find something that would work for me without causing a migraine. For those of you from CPR do you know where Dr May went? Maybe he is starting up somewhere else, you all seemed to like him.

Dr. May is just staying in Oklahoma now instead of coming back to denver but who knows maybe he will at least I hope he wouldoopen his own. But he is in ducun running the hospital there.

No she is not she listens did u tell her wat meds you arw taking now and do you have paperwk of mri's xrays etc I think she wil help you just like always tell her everything cuz the only thing they check is on the computer 2 see if u go and try 2 get meds from other dr

Ya I do have an MRI and an X-Ray. She sounded nice and she said that my primary care doctor isn't doing his job if he won't treat my pain and she said I have to make her my primary so I am hopeful. I'm already withdrawing. ARRRRGHHHH this blows.
