Doctors Willing To Prescribe Heavy Pain Medication In Colorado (Page 64)

I have a serious problem. My dr. had two patients start dr. shopping and has decided it is too big of a pain in his butt to continue prescribing, even though I have gotten MRIs and Xrays to prove my problems. I have over a half a dozen herniated discs in my low back, along with degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, scoliosis and arthritis in my facet joints. I am currently on5 30mg oxycodone a day for breakthrough and 60mg of methadone for my long lasting meds. I REALLY need a doctor in the Denver, CO area who will not judge me because of my age, thinking I'm just some drug seeker as I TRULY need my meds to function. I am even being placed on disability until I can get my back healed because if something doesn't change I will be in big time pain for the rest of my life. If ANYONE knows of a good doctor that prescribes strong meds willingly in the Denver area please let me know. I am in desperate need of help as I am going to be SCREWED if I cannot find a good doctor. SOMEONE please help me with a doctor!!!!!

Sorry wendy im nt bitter at you or any1 here. I was mad and upset cuz I cldnt understand why she did me like that..I was over it but when u post wat she said it felt like u posted on here so everyone here that I was a drug seeker and im nt. I felt like y were in her side and since she thought I was u did 2. So im sorry if I hurt u or ur feelings I just webt into defence mode after u post. It rough havin drs think ur a seeker then tha place u go 2 for support and help made it seem like I was. I hope we can get pass this and keep helpin each other. Cuz I dnt do or did want a BUTTHOLE 4 a dr. I never was happy u booted u just surprised

I am mature enough I just been threw alot and had so many drs turn me away thinkin I was a drug seeker then I met dr ryan and finally u no how good it felt wen he look over all my mri xrays and was willing 2 help me? I have stated it seem like u believe her I never once said u did I cant tel u how u feel about me or any1 else. I guess I cld of word things differently then I did and dnt be sorry u told me either it just I dnt like bein called a drug seeker my brother was and od on perks dr kept givin he kept takin. I take pain management very SERIOUSLY I guess thats 1 of the reason I act like I do wen im called a seeker...sorry I no its nt a excuse but its the truth

Lizzie I'm on the 100 MCG, and MCG ia important in fentanyl because it's a hundredth of thousandth of a gram. Even one gram of straight dose fentanyl would would kill you, so just make sure to keep those straight. And they work well for me but you have to make sure you either get the generic Mylan or Mallinckrodt. and name brand are dangerous because they still use the gel filled ones. And also, Fuzzy, try instead of ms contin, try Kadian. It is the same thing but in capsule and ball formulation, which my brother claims works night and day better than ms contin.

Rainbow I told you because it wasn't your fault , as far as being a drug seeker welcome to the program girl .If I had a dollar for every doctor that said that to me with my records I'd be a wealthy woman .I wasn't trying to hurt u I wanted you to know how she thinks of us .That's not a good doctor .I was glad to have her at first because she seemed genuine .Like I said I been diagnose at 21 that's 20 yrs in dealing with this crap and it's only gonna get worse .This is a support forum and I was trying to help , you bite my head off .

I dnt think so cuz I have medicaid u can call but I do no they do emergency now appts. Ask them if they take ur insurance then if they ask do u need a emergency visit say yes cuz u were on pain management thats how I was seen 2 days after Teresa let me go

JOHN if you have medicade you have to call and change your provider to kaiser it takes 2 weeks .If you want something now and good go to CPR Clinic cost 215 but medicade will pay all rx including oxycotin they do mine

Wendy I said I was sorry and I really mean it ok I just been threw so much in my life that sumtimes I put my foot in my mouth and this time I did big time lookin like a ass. When I say and or do wrong I can admit it. I didnt mean 2 bite ur head off. I just didnt want every1 here thinkin im a seeker cuz tha dr said so and then it gettin posted here even though u were only tryin 2 help and I took it tha wrong way. I like this forum cuz of all tha support and help ppl give each other. So again im sorry

If u call in change it u dont have 2 wait tha 2 weeks for Medicaid 2 switch u stil can go and even do tha emergency visit I did and medicaid stil has nt change it 2 kasier yet if u wanna see dr ryan he is on dr landin's team at Westminster clinic

It's cash only but I'm going to summit my bill because there is no other places for us to go it's 215 the first time 182 second medicade has to pay .If we can't get seen anywhere else than medicade has to pay it or provide us a place

I know this post is old but I had to comment. You don't judge? Really? You sound pretty judgemental to me. I totally know where MaC686 is coming from. "Been there, done that, got the scars to show for it". You are right, Janet, degenerate disk disease keeps getting worse. Surgery can slow it down but there is no cure. I'm glad inj's. worked for you. The only thing they did for me is hurt worse than the pain I was already living with (while the inj. was being administered). Who in their right mind would willingly go through that more than once? I totally believe MaC686 because he/she is living my nightmare.

I also have lupus and degenerative disk disease. I am blessed in that my sister found me a good rheumatologist and a doctor who isn't afraid to treat chronic pain. The down side is that these two docs are in California, and I live in Wyoming. It is worth it to me to travel that far to see docs who are compassionate AND have a clue. If anyone finds a good pain doc and/or rheumatologist in the Denver area, please let me know.

Especially for the ones that would die from an injection or lumbar puncture. That would kill me instantly.I have a list medicade sent of doctors but u see them , twice and off you go they cut you loose.Send us to pain management for whoever not on medicade. And how is that fair we do without or pay 200 and let the excel bill go alittle.CPR is a good place no judgement.Im going to summit my bills to medicade and fight them to get it paid .
