Doctors Willing To Prescribe Heavy Pain Medication In Colorado (Page 58)

I have a serious problem. My dr. had two patients start dr. shopping and has decided it is too big of a pain in his butt to continue prescribing, even though I have gotten MRIs and Xrays to prove my problems. I have over a half a dozen herniated discs in my low back, along with degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, scoliosis and arthritis in my facet joints. I am currently on5 30mg oxycodone a day for breakthrough and 60mg of methadone for my long lasting meds. I REALLY need a doctor in the Denver, CO area who will not judge me because of my age, thinking I'm just some drug seeker as I TRULY need my meds to function. I am even being placed on disability until I can get my back healed because if something doesn't change I will be in big time pain for the rest of my life. If ANYONE knows of a good doctor that prescribes strong meds willingly in the Denver area please let me know. I am in desperate need of help as I am going to be SCREWED if I cannot find a good doctor. SOMEONE please help me with a doctor!!!!!

Nikki, Dr. Mark Carroll in the Springs is a great PCP and then he will give you meds until you can get in with a pain mgt. doctor. The only catch is don't see the female PA in the group, Olsen, she's a b. She will sit and insult you for taking pain meds....I saw on Google reviews someone had the same complaint so I knkw it's not just me.

Anyone been told this, if they come back positive for Mj they won't get pain pills ? I was told new Dea law you have to pick one or other .I find this bulls***. I own a Growery. I smoke for seizures.

Any please help. I am looking for a pain managment doctor that takes insurance in the denver co. Area. The doctor I go to now is telling me I need to find a pain managment doctor because they will no longer will prescribe anyone their pain medicine. I am on 20mg oxy 4 times a day. My doctor cut me down to 10mg. For one more month to just get me by till I find a place to go. He also said he will write me an referral. I also have all my records including my MRI. Please help!!!! I'm hurting way bad and just these 10's are not helping!!!!! Thanks!

Wendy, if you are getting good mj there is no issue. It is only when people find it off the street and it has other illegal drugs in it. But I have MJ in my system every single month and I've never had any issues. Just make sure you're getting it from a reliable source.

I own a Growery and it is grown in only coco no chemicals .The doctor told me anyone testing with any thc in their system has to choose cannabis or pain pills. I smoke for seizures. Plus they drop my dosage from 40 oxycotin to 20 twice a day they said it was new office policy.

I'm having brain farts today! Did the new guy at CPR tell anyone else that the DEA is now wanting pain doc's to not prescribe over 60mg of MS three times a day? I though the big deal was over Oxy's! Many folks were switched over from short term drugs to long acting drugs like MS, which is appropriate! I know many that are on a higher dose than that, I wonder what they r going to do! Additionally, anyone heard of a new experimental drug that they r trying on certain folks? I've heard this several times and wondered if anyone has heard the same!

They reason you have to choose smoke or pain pills is because it hits the same pain receptors. You can use MJ topically and the pain clinics will not care.

We been doing this for 20 years for my brain tumor .The market flooded with pot flippers out for a buck .Problem is they dont have any clue what part of the plant does what and when to cross breed for maximum relief. Janeiro, someone like yourself has to be careful what you smoke eat .You need plants rich in Cbd / R4.Stay out of dispensaries the quality is crap thc is 15/21 CL are many people that buy from. dispensary and resale to u at a higher price .I can help you find thee exact strain combo that will do healing miricles. {edited for privacy}. Sorry i need to vent a little bit. I havent been online in awhile. I have had my second microdiscectomies in 1 year. I have a pain mgt dr who doesnt write pain meds to me. He perfers doing injections, wich use to work but not anymore. Right now Im crying myself to sleep every night, and the pain wakes me up every night. Im at my wits end. I screwed myself by getting off the meds. I took myself off cause i wanted to see if the pain was getting better, i was put on Suboxone for the withdrawls. Now i cant find anyone to write anything for me. My sciatic nerve pain is out of control. Starts in my butt and goes all the way to my heel, now my other leg is starting. Thats just my back, you would be shocked if you saw my records. Im literally falling apart. They keep checking me for Lupus and other auto immune diseases. I have recentlly started smoking a hit here and there of pot. It use to give me panic attacks but now its not too bad. If the DEA start checking people for pot theres going to be alot of people upset about having to make the choice of which one they want. I have looked back thru the comments looking for answers about which drs do what. Its hard to find someone who accepts my Medicaid ins. I dont have the money to pay out of pocket. Hopefully i can finally feel normal again soon.

Sorry Nikki, can't you go to the Er for at least some releaf? I'm on medicade and our only option is pay clinic .I'm sorry but maybe it's me if your already on medicade it's because your either poor or Noone else can insure u so you should n't have to pay .There should be a place for us to go and if people mess up than their out , but for ones that follow like solider s leave us the he'll alone

Thank you for the advice. I've been here almost 2 weeks now, so I've got to get something set up. I don't know a single soul here so, I can't ask any friends for advice because, I have none here. Lol Thank you again.

The clinic cant write higher than 20 mg of Er oxycotin per 12 hr new policy .I'm on 40 mg every 12 hr .She could write a letter for me but I would be without meds waiting for approval.

Oh ok I see yea im stil on just percocet from kaiser cuz I tried the methadone and was in tha hospital for 2 days cuz of the reaction I had but it was worse then the 1 I had from morphine. Does CPR except medicaid?
