Doctors Willing To Prescribe Heavy Pain Medication In Colorado (Page 5)
UpdatedI have a serious problem. My dr. had two patients start dr. shopping and has decided it is too big of a pain in his butt to continue prescribing, even though I have gotten MRIs and Xrays to prove my problems. I have over a half a dozen herniated discs in my low back, along with degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, scoliosis and arthritis in my facet joints. I am currently on5 30mg oxycodone a day for breakthrough and 60mg of methadone for my long lasting meds. I REALLY need a doctor in the Denver, CO area who will not judge me because of my age, thinking I'm just some drug seeker as I TRULY need my meds to function. I am even being placed on disability until I can get my back healed because if something doesn't change I will be in big time pain for the rest of my life. If ANYONE knows of a good doctor that prescribes strong meds willingly in the Denver area please let me know. I am in desperate need of help as I am going to be SCREWED if I cannot find a good doctor. SOMEONE please help me with a doctor!!!!!
Hi Mac...I have seen a lot of good talk and bad talk in this thread. I've also just recently moved out to Denver and am also looking for a doctor. I am struggling with anxiety and panic disorders more so than pain. I am 22 years old and live on my own by cherry creek. Email me when you get this please! {edited for privacy}
Has anyone else had any luck with the Colorado Pain Relief in Wheat Ridge? I am 26 and have sciatic never pain as my lowest vertebrae was destroyed playing varsity sports for 8 years. Most doctors think I'm too young, but as most of you seem to know, living with pain everyday has been making me miserable.
H I I'm in Aurora, in pain cyst on pituitary gland causing head pain and Degenerative discs and destinations L5 S1. I GO TO arvada lain clinic, the uhh take Medicaid as well as many . Other insurance s their policy is as long as you 're getting treatment there they will give it meds. I been getting injections yes painful bug I feel good 3 days after plus I get chiropractic care. I would Google it it's on Ralston Rd. I font want to get this post edited/deleted because of giving phone number s ,but I do however want you to at least get a free consultation this place offers
MFine: CPR REQUIRES diagnostics up the butt and give you UAs every month. Which they absolutely should be doing because there are too many lying druggies out there just trying to get high while making the rest of us look like junkies. If you are legit, have an MRI and X Rays and stuff and you have a bad enough condition to require a lot of meds then they will write them. But if you're playing them or lying to them, you'll get discharged faster then you can say Rx.
Hey Mac. I actually spoke to them yesterday. I played varsity basketball in HS and College and I wore out the cartilage in my lowest vertebrae so that it it pinches my sciatic nerve and my legs and feet go numb. They seemed really understanding and had me ship over my records from my Sports Specialist. Once they receive them they said they will put me in for an appointment that same week, so I'm hoping for around Valentines day. I'll respond with how it goes after I go in. Thanks for all the info MAC! Here's hoping that this doctor is the one.
That's good to hear man. I'm passing along the favor to people who actually need the help. But at that place they do everything by the book; UAs 9 out of 10 months and they won't even see you without diagnostics. And they don't write anything before 30 days. I suggest you keep whatever they write you in a safe place because even with a police report they only give tramadol even if it's stolen; and I know that with the amount I take of OC and Methadone, tramadol wouldn't do a single thing for my pain. I know how it is when you can't find a doctor who understands that opiates are a very important part of treating chronic pain. So I know what it's like to not be able to get what you need because living with chronic pain is no way to live.
It sounds like we are in the same boat. I really hope they do actually help me out. I have no problem taking UA's or anything they need. Just want to get my life on track and not be in pain. Do you mean that they won't write me a script for 30 days or that if I lose it they won't refill? I can't really afford to spend $200 to not get anything for 30 days.....
You should work on getting your diagnosis, MRI, crazy are cheaper, but a Dr. Here in Denver may help you with a certain amount allowed, and by situation. If you have ins. there's a pain clinic in Arvada Co, 22 miles from me , but totally worth it,They are on Ralston Rd. They give 2 complimentary visits, where they talk about insurance, get at reatment plan, before paying anything. They don't treat anxiety. There is a legit cash only network, you call or email EClinicMd, they will guide you from there, both are very professional and legitimate......Good luck THIS IS FOR DENVER AREA CO
MAC is correct, to find a suboxone prescribing Dr. Look on the Suboxone name brand site, it will guide you th o the closest prescribing office there is a suboxone clinic on Potomac and I was surprised how many offices there were, was scary!
THIS IS TRUE!!!
No I'm saying that they will only write one script every thirty days per medication. Essentially they won't fill early. And they will almost guaranteed give you SOMETHING, but you just have to tell them what works, and they might start you at a pretty good dose, and they're very chill as long as you do what you're supposed to. They won't prescribe more then 6 oc a day tho just fyi so if you're trying to get more then that don't waste your money. But odds are you probably don't even need that much.
As of last week CPR in Wheat Ridge will no longer write scripts for any amount of oxy"s no matter what. Their now giving percocet. That is after they take your money and make u do a ua, see the doc then send u on your way with perc. I've been going there since they opened, with no dirty ua's and no problems till today. Anyone know of another Doc
Why did they say that? I can't go from taking 30mg OCs to 10mg percocets with tylenol up the ass and ruin my liver.
I would call them cause it might be case by case I am not allowed to have Tylenol because I am Tylenol toxisis so they wouldn't be able to give me Percocet. It makes no sense unless its the pa they gave right now, or did you see the doctor?
I assume so. There must be some reason why they did that to you.... I am SUPER SUPER chill with the PA and she has never mentioned anything about changing anything. Maybe you looked drugged up when you went in or it wasn't in your system or something. I tried calling but they're closed but I'm calling first thing tomorrow because I have an appointment on the 22nd.
I was in 2 weeks ago and got my normal oxy ir so maybe it might be the higher mg oxy ir's. Let me know what you find out mac please.
Good luck and please let us know, we've known the Doc
for many years. I was told it was cause a pt had died. Katie will not prescribe any more oxy per Dr. May's orders. I know three people who had appts and after I told them what happened they called and were told the same thing
Not assuming but the said patient probably took too many and now we get punished? That's not right and they should call or send letters to patients then at least give us a months worth of meds if we are going to find another dr.
I am curious about CPR S u/a, s. If you have a MAN redcard, and had marijuana in hour system would you be fired or dismissed? I know one reason is to make sure you have the medication that's being prescribed shows up, but does Dr. May discriminate or we'll n ot discriminate against those who use maryjane legAlly
? I have came across a few Dr.s or heard stories that a Doc will say either the meds or opiates, not both! Of coarse exception s to this rule would be my neighbor who is battling pancreatic cancer, doc says opiates and cannabis is ok, and well it's terminal so his doc says ok...
I know he is ok with legal weed you have to show your card. Don't know about having both or what though.
