Doctors Willing To Prescribe Heavy Pain Medication In Colorado (Page 37)

I have a serious problem. My dr. had two patients start dr. shopping and has decided it is too big of a pain in his butt to continue prescribing, even though I have gotten MRIs and Xrays to prove my problems. I have over a half a dozen herniated discs in my low back, along with degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, scoliosis and arthritis in my facet joints. I am currently on5 30mg oxycodone a day for breakthrough and 60mg of methadone for my long lasting meds. I REALLY need a doctor in the Denver, CO area who will not judge me because of my age, thinking I'm just some drug seeker as I TRULY need my meds to function. I am even being placed on disability until I can get my back healed because if something doesn't change I will be in big time pain for the rest of my life. If ANYONE knows of a good doctor that prescribes strong meds willingly in the Denver area please let me know. I am in desperate need of help as I am going to be SCREWED if I cannot find a good doctor. SOMEONE please help me with a doctor!!!!!

Also you can try Colorado pain relief in wheat ridge with dr. May. I get the joy of finding a new doctor but because I moved but will still keep helping on this forum.

I just posted about rocky mountain internal medicine. Make an appt and take all med records you have any mri and xrays. They do sum pain meds though they are not a pain management clinic

Doctors are terrified, they are targeted by the DEA now constantly. If you're not terminal, you are a drug-seeking liar and your doctor is a drug dealer. These doctors are SCARED, do you blame them. Write to your officials, let's get a March going, get this to stop. There are always going to be people that abuse drugs, alcohol, food, credit cards, why is this such a shameful deal to need help? Our doctors are under siege, fight for them and our rights. I'm so sorry to all of you that are suffering, I have been there and probably will be there again & it's an awful feeling. Hang in there.

I go to colorado pain releif and i am looking for a new pain managment somewhere near the Aurora/Denver colorado area. Colorado pian relief is just way to far for me to go every appointment. Can someone please help??? If anyone knows of a good place to go?? thank you!

You can try Dr.John Hundley, Comprehensive Sports and Spine. He is located in Louisville Co, near Hgwy.287. I don't have his number, I stopped going to him after I was in a pretty bad car accident and tried to manage my chronic back pain from the hospital prescriptions.....big mistake! Also I wanted a doctor who took Medicaid,he doen't. Hundley started me out on 30 mg Roxi's for breakthrough w/ Methadone & Valium. I was honest with him + random U.A'S. 166, 15mg Oxycodone Hcl,90,10mg Valium,And 240 10 mg Methadone a month. Nice guy,no B.S. and if your condition is legit ,he will help you,just follow the rules and you're good to go. Hopefully this helps or this is a good back up,I hate it when people suffer and I agree with all the junkheads ruining for all of us legit patients,whats the big deal anyways,Methadone barely has any value, its the Oxycodone that does and my last doctor got shut down by the DEA because people were paying their rent selling an entire script! That really pisses me off,but Methadone is very frowned upon,Its the cheapest,the most effective with the longest half life and besides drowsiness,I have never had any side effects, Sure there are longterm,but what doesn't have long term effects? They are all about Opanas,of course,because they are basically useless and the cost is beyond ridiculous. There are other docs as well ,but Hundley is cool. Most of them are not, I just hope he still is. I'd hate to make a bad referral,good luck. Honesty gets it done,but I am 40 with a 30 year condition. Always have your all your medical files,I'm sure you know that as well.

I go 2 rocky mountain internal medicine they take Medicaid have same day apts and I get pain meds each month. There number is 303-693-1042 take all med records of mri xrays im nt sure how far up the pain meds they predscribe u wld have 2 ask and they are in aurora off chambers by Montebello

I have malignant neoplasm of prostrate(prostrate cancer stage 4) Not the prostrate cancer some men can live with. the cancer has metastasized to my bones; the spine,pelvis, hip, ribs and a few more.I have prescriptions for 300mg morphine sulfate(5 pills@ 60mg each plus 5 - 5mg oxicodone per day for "break thru" pain.I know what I'm taking is a large amount, but this is pain that gets you to biting the pillow. My prognosis is that treatment will be effective for only 2 yrs and then..................It will be time to meet my maker. I try to stay ahead of depression overwhelming me by taking valiums. Also I need more pain meds than the doc will give me now. Just today I got a resounding no for something like valium or ativan. I was told these drugs are habit forming- I mean I am really worried about carrying a valium habit to the grave. Being hooked beats staring at a wall and feeling the dark surround me, while the doctors and hospitals drain the money I have left, leaving my family kicked to the curb. Obviously I sympathize with your plight. I never would have imagined having trouble getting pain meds or tranquilizers would be a problem.

Yes but make sure he is still expectin new patiences cuz I started goin in september also if he is nt ask which drs in the office are. Im very picky when it comes 2 drs at my 1st apt I always make sure I wil feel comfortable n make I wil b able 2 talk bout anythin 2 them and I can this dr office from what I have seen and experience is very caring understanding compassionate and does whats best 4 u nt what they think is best just remember 2 bring any mri n xrays if ur goin 4 pains meds also they wil do a UA ur 1st visit so wen u fil out ur paperwk write dwn all meds u take prescribe and whats not prescibe cuz if u lie or dnt write it dwn they wil not help u if they sense ur hidin sumthin or tesr pos 4 something u didnt write dwn.. cuz my friend didnt listen and told her no cuz she lied.Most days they have same day apts also idk how far they go up wit wat they prescribe in pain meds what I mean is idk if they do morphine or anythin higher then that but good luck and I hope u get the help u need
