Doctors Willing To Prescribe Heavy Pain Medication In Colorado (Page 243)

I have a serious problem. My dr. had two patients start dr. shopping and has decided it is too big of a pain in his butt to continue prescribing, even though I have gotten MRIs and Xrays to prove my problems. I have over a half a dozen herniated discs in my low back, along with degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, scoliosis and arthritis in my facet joints. I am currently on5 30mg oxycodone a day for breakthrough and 60mg of methadone for my long lasting meds. I REALLY need a doctor in the Denver, CO area who will not judge me because of my age, thinking I'm just some drug seeker as I TRULY need my meds to function. I am even being placed on disability until I can get my back healed because if something doesn't change I will be in big time pain for the rest of my life. If ANYONE knows of a good doctor that prescribes strong meds willingly in the Denver area please let me know. I am in desperate need of help as I am going to be SCREWED if I cannot find a good doctor. SOMEONE please help me with a doctor!!!!!

I really can't tell y'll how good it felt to not cringe after I told them he had medicaid. After so many No's to get an appt scheduled with relative ease and 3 days from now waso such a relief. I can't tell y'll how great my day has been since we saw our girl. She and her hubby are very caring dear ppl. Everyone keep that in mind. She IS trying to help. We've all seen what happens a docs name is posted. They're overcome with new patients. Instantly felt the sincerity when I met her today. Wonderful person. Rainbow, you should think on this since you and I both a medicaid. 200/mo savings. Happy dance!!!!

Rainbow: You might not want to be throwing out your doctor's name so much. He has now raised his rates, and it is getting difficult to schedule follow ups b/c he is so booked.

I would hate to see him have problems like CPR has.

You're on more than alot of people actually quite a bit actually your pretty lucky. I wish I just got the 30mg of oxycodone maybe 40 a day I'd be slot better off. I was getting 6 a day 60mg, 3 soma 350, ea. AND 3 VALIUM 10s. I quit yhat doc cold turkey l as t Nov found thanksgiving I had nothing now I'm getting 5s hydos 2 per day on disability can't eork, electrician for over 35yrs. I eoildnt complain.

Wendy, in order to see your doctor are you saying I have to have been a patient of cpr? I currently have a pm doc that madicaid covers for me but I am under medicated. The er she has me on does not work for me any longer than the ir version and it has various negative side effects. Plus I work long days of physical labor and i need a larger dose at one time . The er does not lower my pain spikes.I just need a little higher dose but in ir formula ,and she will not listen to me that everyones body is not the same. I know what dose i need to be almost fully functional and it is not that much higher than what i am on now, but the er is not fo me, my metabolism is so fast a 12 hour er med is not even helping for 4 hours. Would your dr. Be able to help me? I need a dr that reslises everyones chemistry is different. When i was on the perfect dose, i was always able to work, and actually live happily. Found the sweet spot and never needed an increase in years.

Confused, I'm not throwing him out there at all. I have posted about him before. I was only replying about a post sum1 said about him and was only stating he was not a pill mill nor does he give u wat u want and that he follows all the rules 2 a tee and doesn't put up with drug seekers and will fire u on the spot if u come up positive for anything u are not prescribed. His discharge rate of firing ppl is like 7-8 per day. He will not allow any1 coming in his office playing any type of games period. He will fire if u bring ur pill bottle and are short 1 pill from ur directions. He may be pricey a little but he will bend over backwards for u as long as none of his ppl break rules.

I wasn't I was only sayin he is nt a pill mill and doesn't put up wit drug seekers or dirty UAs his discharge rate is 7-8 per day if u are even short a pill at pill count ur fired on tha spot they dig deep into ur records he does nt give ppl wat they want he will bend over backwards for his patients as long as u follow tha rules

Rainbow: I don't want to upset you... it sounds like you have a lot going on... I know he is a good doctor.. I like what other posters have done: instead of mentioning the doctor's name a lot, they just ask others to read back a few pages and they will find the doctor's mentioned there. If he gets overrun with people reading here, I am afraid something bad will happen to him. I like that approach... and yes, you have posted about him before. So anyone needing a new doctor would just need to read back a few pages and will find several names of doctors. Please take care and I apologize if you were offended.
