Doctors Willing To Prescribe Heavy Pain Medication In Colorado (Page 191)

I have a serious problem. My dr. had two patients start dr. shopping and has decided it is too big of a pain in his butt to continue prescribing, even though I have gotten MRIs and Xrays to prove my problems. I have over a half a dozen herniated discs in my low back, along with degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, scoliosis and arthritis in my facet joints. I am currently on5 30mg oxycodone a day for breakthrough and 60mg of methadone for my long lasting meds. I REALLY need a doctor in the Denver, CO area who will not judge me because of my age, thinking I'm just some drug seeker as I TRULY need my meds to function. I am even being placed on disability until I can get my back healed because if something doesn't change I will be in big time pain for the rest of my life. If ANYONE knows of a good doctor that prescribes strong meds willingly in the Denver area please let me know. I am in desperate need of help as I am going to be SCREWED if I cannot find a good doctor. SOMEONE please help me with a doctor!!!!!

I don't know much about CPR other than you need med records and you pay for your visit... No insurance, maybe? There are several other people on this site page that will come along and help you. Or, you can read the posts from the newest backwards and you'll find info. I'm pretty sure they will treat legitimate pain fairly... But are pretty stringent regarding drug panels, etc. I'm sorry I can't be of more help...

As far as cancer pain, I don't understand not being treated for that?! What reason do your doctors give for not wanting to medicate you??

Hi everyone! I hope you're all having a low pain day so far. I haven't yet been to CPR but I hope to be getting a referral this week after my last appointment with my Doc before he moved to grand junction. I have a lot of anxiety with changing doctors, just like most of us probably do now :-(
Anyways, I'm feeling OK for the first time in weeks. I want you all to know I appreciate you all. CPR is in wheatridge...

From what I have read CPR (Colorado pain relief) is some clinic in wheat ridge that is a pay cash scenario. Sounds like a good place... I wish we had something like that here because my insurance with my new job is unaffordable... I have found a few clinics here in the springs but they don't like to see patients with no ins.... I may have to just suck it up and drive to Denver

CPR is like any other clinic watever u were on in past they will try to keep u on now .They dont take any insurance because they only get 25 )45 each person verses 180 per .And no red tape to follow .

What narcotics are u after ? They follow protocol.You cant walk in with a shopping list expext to get everything .Im on Er 40 4 duldids daily and demerol injections once weekly

Jlyn.. I have never been to CPR, but they aren't a "pill mill" if that's what you are looking for. People can and have been dismissed for not following the rules. You're not going to walk in off the street and just get whatever you want. I feel like you're fishing for something. If you want to know how CPR will help YOU, make an appt and see a dr.

You cant just go in and start asking for hard narcotics. Whatever your records say now is what they will write for.

I know of a Docto in Pueblo West that gives out meds his name is Dr. Jeremy Brown M.D./ D.O. He is very nice but don't goin off the bat sayo G you o ly want to see him for pain management tell him you need a primary care physician which he is and on your second visit tell him that your in horrible pain and were taking pain meds...He is very understanding .....Hope this helps someone....

Also he is located in a The Hansen Clinic..But he is a separate entity...I still have his phone number if anyone needs it....

Rainbow, I'm sorry you're going through a lot. I'm also going through a lot and could use some real friends, virtual friends help but I could used some human interaction with people who understand what we go through. I live northeast of Denver not by much. I'd love for us all to get together for lunch brunch happy hour whatever. I don't drink too often hardly every. I think we should make plans to get together, as many as possible? I'd be happy to drive us....

Hey everyone... I hope everyone is doing okay...Most of the people on this blog are from Denver/Parker I'm down South in Southern Colorado Trinidad..And can't seem to be able to keep a doctor..They all usually find some excuse to quit prescribing medication or if there having a s****y day and your he next to be seen than they take it out on you....I have a Doc now but I have a feeling it's not gonna last to long cause his nurse is a b****...anyway if anyone can recommend a dr. It would be nice...thanks... :)
