I have a serious problem. My dr. had two patients start dr. shopping and has decided it is too big of a pain in his butt to continue prescribing, even though I have gotten MRIs and Xrays to prove my problems. I have over a half a dozen herniated discs in my low back, along with degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, scoliosis and arthritis in my facet joints. I am currently on5 30mg oxycodone a day for breakthrough and 60mg of methadone for my long lasting meds. I REALLY need a doctor in the Denver, CO area who will not judge me because of my age, thinking I'm just some drug seeker as I TRULY need my meds to function. I am even being placed on disability until I can get my back healed because if something doesn't change I will be in big time pain for the rest of my life. If ANYONE knows of a good doctor that prescribes strong meds willingly in the Denver area please let me know. I am in desperate need of help as I am going to be SCREWED if I cannot find a good doctor. SOMEONE please help me with a doctor!!!!!

Butterfly, I am so sorry! Wyoming I've found to be difficult, I was in Wyoming taking care of a sick family member and I had issues even filling a non-narcotic medication! The two places u may want to try is Colorado Pain Relief or Colorado Rehabilitation! Both have offices north of the city and I know I can get to CPR from Laramie in one and a half hours! Give them a call and if anyone else has any other ideas, shout out! You may also want to ask about filling prescription issues! Call pharmacies around u and ask when u speak to the offices because some have gone to delivery programs! Good luck!

I'm desperately looking for a GOOD Pain Specialist within no further than 125 miles of Cheyenne, Wyoming. I'm so sick of people going in & getting pain meds, that they don't need, just so they can sell them on the streets!!! I've got a legitimate reason as to why I have to take pain meds. I've lived with chronic pain now for 14yrs, & I've got Dr's to thank for that!!! Oh, the Dr's or butchers make you believe that the quality of your life will be so much better after you have these surgeries, BS!!!! I've been in more pain since the surgeries, than ever before!!!! I wake up with chronic pain & go to sleep with chronic pain!!!! I try other means of trying to relieve the pain -(ice packs, heading pad, stretching, meditation, soaking in a tub with Epsom salts, but to no avail I end up having to take my pain meds & lying down until the medicine starts to relieve some of the pain). I'm not one that feels a little ache here & there & just grabs the bottle of pain medicine without trying to do other things FIRST!!!! It seems to me that the people (young, old, disabled) who REALLY NEED PAIN MEDICATIONS GET TOLD THAT THEIR DRUG SEEKING, & THAT THE PAIN IS ALL IN THEIR HEADS!!!! UNTIL I MOVED HERE TO WYOMING I HAD NEVER EVEN HEARD THAT EXPRESSION, LET ALONE WHAT IT MEANT!!!! The first time that I saw a Dr.he asked me what works for you & what are you taking now & what have you taken in the past. So, I tell him what he had asked me about, & the next thing he's telling me he wouldn't prescribe any pain meds, bcuz I was drug seeking, needless to say, I was dumb founded & then I was mad!!!! I told the Dr. , that he asked me what works & what I've taken & so forth, and that I just answered the questions that you asked, I didn't just come in here demanding that you give me this & that, so how is that drug seeking??? A week or so after that, I had a good friend of mine go to that same Dr. as she had fell & hurt her knee, nothing serious & I had told her if she just wrapped it & took it easy for a week or so it should be OK. Well, it ended up that she asked me for that Dr's name & # & she called & made an appt. She called me after she went to her appt. (She seen the same Dr that I had just seen a week prior to that). I couldn't believe my ears as to what she was telling me. The Dr. gave her very strong percocets (enough for 6 a day), 2mg xanax (enough for 3 -4 a day), Soma, (which is a very strong muscle relaxer, (500mg 3-4 a day), needless to say, I was fit to be tied!!!! Well, for the next 3yrs, she stayed in bed & was drugged up 24/7, her husband worked, took care of the 2 kids (1 was 13 & the other was 9) cooked, cleaned, paid bills, as well as go to college!!!! She almost ended up divorced, our friendship was over, the kids bonded with their dad & they didn't want anything to do with her, & there's more, but I think you get the drift. It's people like her that have ruined it for the honest people that really have a concrete reason for needing pain medications!!!! I have bulging disc's, degenerative disc disease, from my neck down I've got rods, screws, plates & my right shoulder down my arm & into my hands & fingers are numb most of the time, and @ other times my right shoulder & down into my arm, hands & fingers throb clear down into the bone, this is bcuz the surgeon didn't fix the router cuff correctly, & for 3yrs I lived in constant excruciating pain & all the while my shoulder continued to shed away what was left of my roter cuff, until I had to have another surgery (by a different Dr. No doubt) to try & save what was left of my arm!!! It still is very very painful & there's days that I would cut it off if I could. Anyway, if anyone knows of a good pain specialist, please let me know.

I understand where u r coming from. Your dosages are middle to high and trying to find another pm doctor will not be easy. That said allot of doctors as u know like to think for u instead of listening to why and how when ect. U need the drugs your on. So there are 4 or so ways to so this. One is spens the money trying to find a doctor that will prescribe that amount of schedule 2 narcotics. After a while your bound to get ur scripts if you have proper documentation. 2..….... U can shake your head and agree with the doctor saying your too young to be tied down to the meds and then see where his treatment plan would go. But also if u do want give this doctor his trial make sure he agrees to when u slowly. So there for you would be leaving with a script for all our meds maybe a pill or so less a day and he is happy. In the mean time you can continue to try to find another doctor that will just write for what your already on.3.….....option u can go to a methadone clinic get a dose of 40 mgs the first day and go up by 5 every other day until our well. Usually most pain will subside at 100mg a day of methadone. An if u go everyday and pass your drug panel u can actually get your pain meds plus the doc and counselor for pretty good price about 300 a month allot of people at a clinic for methadone go there for an alternative to pain meds and managments the staff will keep u out a pain. Or u play the doctors game or get em off street. Or grow poppies and collect your own opium and dose that all winter until next harvest. Personally. I'd rather make a one or half acre plot of poppies. Collect gum a week after petals fall and forget the doctors and their synthetic molecules and corrupt fda laws and dear laws.

Comment was racist, Comment did not say "illegals" which could refer to any race that is here illegally. Comment said "Mexican in pueblo", which was racist. As rainbow said, lots of different races try to abuse the system.
I agree with you that "illegals" shouldn't be entitled to any help that is funded by our tax dollars. When your status starts with the word "illegal" there is a basic problem.

Autumn, google Dr Forest Tenat he is a dr in california that treat people with the type of pain your husband is suffering from. You may email him also. He is the best Dr in cali. and has been treating people in pain for many years. He may also know other drs that treat us that live with cronic pain. I live in nebraska and travel to ca. for my pain meds as I cannot find dr here to give me enough pain meds.

Hello. I'm posting on behalf of my husband. He has been diagnosed a year ago with spondylolysthesis, spinal stenosis, and degenerative disc disease in his lower back. He has MRI and x-ray from November 2013. He has done chiro, physical therapy, acupuncture and massage, and was advised to live with the pain rather than get surgery. Hasn't done much with doctors since March 2014 because he hates them. Honestly hates the thought of taking pain killers but has decided to give them a shot because he is in so much pain he hasn't worked in a year and he often feels down about it and cries. Just had our first daughter and he can't care for her because of pain. He wants to kill himself but I have convinced him to try pain meds. He is very unstable. I need a doctor who won't waste our time and money.

We have Medicaid but willing to dish out cash if need be. I have tried to read back for doctors names but there seems to be confusion about who is accepting patients...? Would like to try injections and meds if possible without a referral. He is fed up with pcps because they are all incompetent and immediately assume he is a drug abuser because he is 25 and has immense back pain.

Need some relief for him before he does something stupid. Hydrocodone does nothing for him but he doesn't have rx record of anything stronger, so would a doctor even prescribe anything stronger? Honestly he has tried morphine finding it off the street because he was in so much pain and it was offered to him. It worked well, he only took it for a week though because he didn't want become dependent on it for his pain without a reliable rx source.

Also he uses marijuana edibles, they're about the only thing keeping him sane right now, but he has a red card so will that be an issue?

Names of doctors and or help answering these concerns would be very helpful, thanks.

Tammy, sorry to bother you, is there an way that I can get the name of the Dr you are going to. I've been on mehadone since I was 17yrs old. I was abducted when I was young. The jerk who did this was drunk and wouldn't let me out of the car. Long story short. I woke up in a hospital because he had crashed into a bldg leaving me a mess.Ive had surgeries every three yrs since to current. Im now 50! Through all this ive been on methadone for Many Many yrs. my Dr. Isn't going to perscribe methadone anymore because of the new laws etc.... He is still taking care of me, but just until I find a new Dr.. I don't want to inconvenience him anymore than I already have. I'm on 70mlgrms a day, I would just like someone that can help me. I see it everyday at my 2nd job I wk of all kinds of races comin in faking 1Chinese lady kept comin in and finally she got a dr who she had seen b4 and cops were called and went 2 jail my sons 2 bestfriends 1 is white 1is black and they are in jail for changin names goin 2 diff hospitals usin diff social security numbers wel they wld go 2gether and 1 time mess up a ss# they used and the hospital called cops and they went 2 jail but are out now..every race can fake 4 a pill but comin on here and pointin out just 1 and sayin u have 2 be a mexican 2 get pain meds is crap..this site is 2 help ppl who are looking 4 a dr willing 2 take them cuz of their chronic pain we all have been in the same boat 1time or another havin trouble lookin 4 a doc...this site is nt 2 come on here sayin wat comment posted its nt goin 2 help them get the meds they need no its not Instead it makes comment look racist I have 3 different races in my household..Its a fact everywhere u go its every race that can fake anythin and get pain meds no 1 can pin point 2 just 1race period and it makes it hard 4 us real pain patients 2 get the meds we need if comment cant get pain meds from where they are at go some were else you and I both know ppl on here drive way out of their way 2 a dr they have found that wil help them with wat pain meds they need...so this u gotta be mexican is crap and racist period

Well jetmech2 um I take offence 2 wat comment posted it was a racial comment coming from comment I see it everyday with every race at my 2nd job and by them saying u have 2 be mexican 2 get anything is basic bull**** I have 3 different races in my own household and 2 of my sons bestfriends just got out of jail 4 going 2 the hospital under different names just 2 get pain meds and 1 is white 1 is black at the hospital were I work at the was a Chinese lady coming about every 2 weeks changin her name just 2 get pain meds and finally the doc busted her and now she is facing 2 different criminal charges and was arrested at the hospital u have seen mexicans as well doing it myself but just 2 point out them alone is crazy its all over everywhere u go no matter where u live if she cant get pain meds where she lives then maybe she shld go search 4 a different dr like we all have had 2 before...coming on here and posting stuff like that is not right this is a place where ppl go 2 for resources nt 2 come on here making stupid racial comments thats rude and disrespectful yes there are in the wrong for faking 2 get the meds posting stuff like that is not going 2 change the fact they are not getting anything what are they gaining by it NOTHING but being racist .....s*** my own step brother is white and he fakes his pain just 2 sell them and has gone 2 jail many times 4 it and he keeps doing it...Its a fact anyone can fake it 2 get a pill and yes it does make it hard 4 us real pain patients 2 get are meds like I said before coming on here and just pickin out 1 race and saying the things they say is RACIST period me myself I dnt care what race you if you need them you need them but if you fake it and get caught 4 it you get what you deserve no matter where you are from or what color you are

I hope your feeling better I just wanted 2 say thanks again to you and cindy and that knowing that sum ppl did understand that I was just trying 2 help and my appointment yesterday went really well and I wasnt ask any questions about medchat but I have decided if anella ask me again if I put their name on here im just going 2 tell her yes I did only because I was trying 2 help others in need of a dr Not 2 have ppl think that they are a easy score 4 pain meds and then hope that she dont let me go....

I don't see where "Comment" made a racial comment. They were simply saying what they observed in their area....and frankly, it is fairly accurate. These illegals come here and use our resources for their issues and by abusing the system, they ruin it for everyone. Medical offices should start verifying immigration or resident alien status before they see any of these people. If they are illegal....call ICE!

Thanks cindy I know alot ppl read this site for dr info and I dnt mind helping with dr info. I dnt or wldnt want anyone 2 stuggle without a dr. I have b4 its horrible and idk why either why sum1 is tryin 2 boot me out. I have never did anythin 2 anyone on here

Susie I'm sorry you are still struggling with your health issues. I can't seem to get my migraines under control either. Lets hope 2015 works out better for both of us.

Rainbow before I ever posted anything on here I read EVERY page. There are many Drs. listed, that's the whole purpose of this forum. You only tried to help, I don't know why someone wants to make it difficult for you but they need to go another forum and troll there and leave this one alone.

Co susie thank you I know how hard it was 2 get a dr til I got tha smith after dr ryan left everything went down hill I dnt mind asnswering the questions from the smiths I know what its like to be witoit meds and stuggle 2 normal life things...my question is who would want me out from the smiths??? I never wrnt 2 CPR the only reason I didnt answer the smiths bout me puttin there name on here is I dont or didnt want them 2 think I lable them as pill mill wit so many new ppl that went 2 them once I posted there info on here im thinking they take it the wrong way and let me go and I dnt want 2 be wit no dr...as far as COOKIE or watever name they will use this week idk but I wonder if they are string up the pot and I have seen all ppl no watever what race fake for a pill

Rainbow, you know I'm not in the same area as you guys, but from what I've read that you posted, you haven't done anything wrong. I do wonder why they keep quizzing you about this forum. It could be exactly what Mtn said, people like Cookie. By the way, Cookie never got back with all these other names that she supposedly posted under and received no answer, so I'm thinking none of what was posted by Cookie was even true.
Now someone named "comment" is going to make racist remarks. Oh my goodness!! I'm not being crazy by thinking that it is one or two people who are using different names trying to stir up trouble.
These "stupid" people with their remarks about going to "expose" us. There isn't anything to "expose". If someone wants to call attention to the problems that all of us face getting medical care and our medications. Please do. In fact they are invited to visit the petition website and read about everyone's problems and what we go through.
There isn't anything wrong with trying to help someone find a doctor. As I explained before, my doctor is in a very small office and asked that we don't give out his name because the last time someone did, his office was overwhelmed by people from as far away as Colorado Springs (most of them not legit). He isn't accepting any new patients anyway. His office is totally booked up with no available space.
This forum is very helpful when people can provide at least a hint on a doctor. What I faced when looking for a doctor, was they wouldn't tell me anything about medication on the telephone, they all insisted that I spend the money for initial office visits. Which runs into lots of money while you are trying to find a doctor.

Hope everyone is doing well. I've been fighting one thing after another in addition to my normal illness. I can't seem to get passed all these additional health issues. I'm hoping that 2015 is going to be a better year with my health.
