Doctors Who Prescribe Pain Killers In Philadelphia

Hi, My current doctor has decided that it would be best to stop my monthly prescription for 30mg percocets. I have chronic back pain from skiing injuries and other sports related problems. I have never abused or taken more than was suggested. I never got "high" and was always able to work and interact with clients in a positive way. Now without the medication, the pain is becoming a distraction. Does anyone know a doctor who isn't scared to prescribe common pain killers. They are produced for a reason, but recent uptake in illegal abuse has made doctors uneasy with long term prescriptions? I live in the Philadelphia area (main line) but I am familiar with the greater Philadelphia metro area. Thank you and kind regards.

This epidemic is from illicit fentanyl and heroin... not from little Johnny stealing meds out of granny's medicine cabinet. This has been proven over and over again ad nauseam... all of the findings and research is there.

Hi Gail & others - regarding medical marijuana in PA, their .gov website has a helpful resource about getting registered with the state, where and how to get treatment, etc. How far along are you in the process? Are you already registered?

Hi, I've been on meds for 6yrs. Morphine is the only way i can function. Before meds I was in the hospital for 3 weeks trying to control pain. I had a neck fusion, ruptured disk in my lower back, sciatica and a fusion with ripped fluid pouring out, so everyday I have headaches. Hope u can refer someone. Ty.

In desperate need of my medication for my ADD, and my suboxone to treat my opioid addiction!!! My prior Doctor told me that he couldn't help me anymore and that I needed a Psych doc who is more equipped to handle me and my issues!!! This doctor just cut me off completely without any refills or even attempting to detox me from 2 1/2 strips a day to nothing!!! He also didn't refill my Adderall script and I have not been able to find a decent Doctor in the Philadelphia area who will prescribe both. I am going through it bad!!! Anybody know a Doctor that can help me? Please respond if you do!! I'm gonna wind up relapsing or something worse without my meds!

I have a very bad back and need the right medications. The only thing that works is Percocet 30 mg for the longest time, so I don't turn into an addict. Please help me find a cash only pain doctor in Philadelphia, PA. Thank you.

I was on methadone 10mg tabs my ex-husband beat me for 2 years I have back problems knee problems nerve damage n left shoulder problems my doctor left the practice n I need a new doctor I have seen other doctors but they will not help me with my pain please can any one help me find a doctor please!

If i knew your doc for thr oxycodone, i'd be very thankful. Have been on for many years but now my docs hospital affiliation is making him stop. Same with my xanax after 31 YEARS. My doc told me he would give me 3 months to find a pain management dr. I am getting a better medicare plan in February. I have several pain issues from herniated discs to scoliosis. My doc has given me oxycodone for the last six years. Can anyone recommend a pain management doctor in Philly?

I am in agony with this pain and need a dr who prescribes pain meds in the southwest philly area. Was on a low dose of ms contin and hydromorphone for over 5yrs until I got a new dr who doesn't believe in pain meds. They don't care how much you're suffering because they're all afraid to prescribe pain meds even when the patient truly needs it. I don't drink or do drugs. I am truly sick and in unbearable pain 24/7. This forum is really no help when people are afraid to share drs names. You may think your helping people, but you are actually not helping anyone.
