Doctors Who Prescribe Pain Killers In Philadelphia (Page 13)

Hi,

My current doctor has decided that it would be best to stop my monthly prescription for 30mg percocets. I have chronic back pain from skiing injuries and other sports related problems. I have never abused or taken more than was suggested. I never got "high" and was always able to work and interact with clients in a positive way. Now without the medication, the pain is becoming a distraction. Does anyone know a doctor who isn't scared to prescribe common pain killers. They are produced for a reason, but recent uptake in illegal abuse has made doctors uneasy with long term prescriptions? I live in the Philadelphia area (main line) but I am familiar with the greater Philadelphia metro area. Thank you and kind regards.

I was in a hit and run car accident in 08' I've been going to pain management for 5 yrs but recently moved to Philadelphia, I have all records, MRI's, X-rays, and copies of my scripts for the past 5 yrs! My back was broke L3-L-5, snapped off tail bone and broke pelvis into 3 pieces! I had a lumbar fusion and 8 screws that go thru my back into pelvis to hold it in place, I need to find a pain management Dr. Who writes prescriptions for new clients! Any help??

I'm with you on emailing the congressmen and all the others. If someone could come up wit a petition to put on the White House website for us to sign. If I knew how to do it I would. Does anybody know how to do this. Remember how they had a petition to deport that news man from England about gun laws...It made the news and maybe our petition will also. Please does anyone know how to do this? I have suffered from chronic pain for years and each month I worry the Doc will say no more. They are all so scared now and pain meds have been around for years and have less side effects than some other drugs and they are tried and true but the DEA is taking our quality of life away. Do they have that right? I think not. Thanks

I have been on pain management for 7 years....i get epidoral's every few months and pain meds but since i lost my insurance my doctor can no longer treat me....i went to this dr.bado and he helped but got locked up 2 months later.....if anyone has a doc they want to trade i have about 4 good docs that i cant see anymore.

Lets be honest guys, in the age of 2013 and all the heated controversy going on with the DEA and finding a doctor that write scripts for pain medication is getting harder and harder. To be honest after speaking to many doctors about the situation I found out its not pain meds the DEA is after, its pretty much one kind of drug and its Oxycodone 30 mg that is giving everyone problems. To find a doctor writing these to people every month after month is next to impossiple. The only way you will get it in the philadelphia area is if you were already in a doctor office. Luckyly my faimily doctor is also a pain management doctor and he helps me out with it, but even with my doctor, when you call the office it takes you to a automatic message telling you to press one for the nurse press 2 for appointments etc....the first thing they say in the message is "Were not accepting pain management patients at this time." After talking to friends Ive releized its everywhere thats like that. Doctors are scared to do their jobs and its shame for the people that really need it. But pretty much the people that have been getting prescribed it will still be getting it but other then that finding a doctor taking new patients writing scripts like that is impossible. You can thank doctors like Bado...Iv'e heard Bado patients cant even get into a doctor office because they were patients and thats a shame but thats the world me live in today. So if your running around calling doctors every day for medicine like oxycodone 30 mg, alls I have to say is good luck. Because there two kinds of pain management doctors out there, the doctors that push injections and surgery on you and give you little to no pain meds and doctors that will write you what you want and not push injections on you, and to find a doctor who does that and takes new patients is IMPOSSIBLE!! Im just being honest to people out there. I know people will agree.

Hey its not just the 30mg oxycodone the DEA is going after it's a bunch of drugs even methadone. I know this because im disabled and get both of these. The DEA is making Watson and other drug companies change their ingredients in the norcoro and lortabs so now they are all white. The DEA is Now Making Major Healthcare Choices for us. The DEA is telling Doctors what kind of medicine to give and not to give in Florida where i live Jacksonville Florida, you are lucky if you can find a pharmacy to fill a legal prescription fill from your doctor. Because the DEA is treating pharmacies and pharmacists like Drug Dealers. Sonow The Sick Disabled people living in chronic pain are left to suffer. It won't change if we don't take a stand and call and email every elected Congress person the governor the Senators And Call the White House So Obama will know what his DEA is Doing. They work for the DOJ and Obama gives them orders. So lets do something

I went to my Doctor yesterday And we talked about how the DEA is doing Everything In Their Power to keep people with chronic pain from getting their medicine. He said we all need to start calling Congress and the president, &Senators and tell them the DEA is now making healthcare choices for us. Not the Doctors and keep calling every day call 2 0r 3 .if enough people call they will do something. I've been calling. You can get the Numbers off the internet. Just call

Is there any one who can help? Cant find a good pain management doctor in or around phila.. My fiance is in pain He is diagnosed with a few probs. ( severe d.d.d, severe sinal stenosis, cervical disc herniation,) And now is being sent to Rheumatology. Been searching cant find any one to help.
