Doctors Who Prescribe Oxycontin In Oklahoma (Page 10)

I have been in Pain management since 2004 in California and just Moved out there to muskogee Oklahoma... unfortunately there are NO doctors here willing to treat my pain i was on a regiment of 80mg Oxycontin 2X daily 10/325mg Norcos every 4 hours and 4mg IV dilaudid as needed for breakthrough pain... i am in search of a doctor out this way who is actualluy willing to perscribe these meds... thanks

Bella, you're going to have a very difficult time finding anyone to treat you by setting parameters for treatment. Many will see this as drug seeking behavior. Especially without insurance and asking for specific class medications are also red flags to any practitioner. I'd suggest you speak to the social services department at your local hospital as they can best assist you in finding effective treatment for chronic pain conditions.Very few doctors are willing to treat chronic pain with powerful opioids alone, especially in today's restrictive environment.

Could you tell me of a PM doctor who will prescribe me some medication even though methamphetamine came up on a U/A and I was dismissed from my last PM doctor? I have NO CLUE how methamphetamine came up other than someone sabotaging me by spiking my drink or something..But I have a legitimate need for pain meds. And the DEA has doctors scared to death to give someone some damned medication..

I have a VERY legit need for pain meds and have been on pain meds for a few years...Just recently I guess someone either spiked my drink or something else that caused a failed UA for me..Long story short they blackball you and noone will give me meds that I badly NEED...Do you know of a doctor in tulsa or surrounding area that has enough sense to look past UA history on the internet and give me a try???

My psychiatric Dr. was fired due to not showing up for appts many pts in bad shape had to go to WE.AM on Adderall 20 mg ×2 a day for ADD, usually only take 1 at most. For some reason it messes with my mouth but definitely helps my mind racing non-stop and overthinking everything. The old psych Dr. was seeing will NOT prescribe to anyone. Refers you to a psychologist in Norman for ADD testing then given name of another Psych. in Norman who will prescribe if test comes out positive which have no doubt definitely ADHD since very young just didn't know of tx then. Problem is I have Ins. but it's still the beginning of the yr. so I don't have money for testing which sure is expensive, then to see another Dr. to prescribe. Also I take Klonopin for anxiety/sleep due to Adderall, no problem with Dr. prescribing this- low dose. Do you know if this Dr. you are talking about would prescribe the Adderall? I have plenty of old prescription bottles without the testing plus have descent ins.? I'm also wondering if Xanax works better for anxiety, as I notice people seem to take this instead?

You will never find a doctor in your area to prescribe Xanax and adderall concurrently as these two meds have developed a reputation that has made legit specialists steer away from their uses. It's not a matter of testing, finances or appointments. Government agencies and the ungodly pressure they have placed on the medical community for rx'ing other effective substances that carry a lesser habituation risk. For those with extraordinary documented cases when all prior protocols have failed may be candidates but that's a long hit and miss journey that those who clinically require these substances are willing to endure.Certainly proffering referrals anonymously online is not the ideal forum to pursue such treatment. I'd suggest sticking with one specialist who you were referred to formally by your prior doctor.

Wow,

The level of desperation exhibited by these poor unfortunate souls prescribed these powerful mind altering chemicals for years on end (when not even medically indicated for long term use,In most cases ) is reprehensible and irresponsible. I can't understand how these so called medical professionals have been allowed to zombifie so many
All in the name of the almighty dollar. I don't know what the answer is but as one who has endured a cold turkey benzo Withrawl followed by 2 years paws the last 6 years of drug free living without the use of any pharmaceutical assistance has been a monumental struggle. Unfortunately that methamphetamine false + can be a result of some OTC meds you may have taken prior to the drug panel. For future reference I'd refrain from using the sabotaged or set up explanation for every doctor hearing such will run fearing an inconsistent u/a as a new patient may cause them undo burden and legal peril. Even those who are understanding and compassionate as prescribers would have a difficult time reconciling that accusation with fact. False + due occur for your doc to dismiss you with an explanation is reprehensible. I feel for you my brother.

My shrink gives me klonpin and Xanax but haven't seen any pain Drs proscribe any.i see here so many people are exactly same situation.a good pain Dr is Dr Donald Kim.hr gives very good meds I was just dismissed after 14 yrs because I forgot s scrip that I was given in the hospital for broken rib and lung punctured. That made him made enough to dismissed me even I had hospital records showing they did put 1 fentynol patch on.hr is like God complex you better do every single thing he says.hrs a real jerk. But for good meds like oxicontin 80,general ect

They do not accept that coverage and despite what some may claim on here, tramadol is the standard routine go to drug as far as opioids are concerned. The days of OxyContin for anything short of end stage diagnosis are a thing of the past, so for those claiming otherwise it's just a fantasy or pseudo marketing ploy. I despise those who illicit false hope to those in legit chronic pain.

A pain Dr in Little Rock and NLR who will write roxicodone 30 mg IR my Dr had me on Dilaudid for breakthrough pain and morphine 15mg ER for 3 years and I've had no releif and they won't listen. I think it was a 30 mg oxycodone IR and it worked so well. Please can anybody give m me advice and help please??????

Can u tell me drs in okc that will prescribe oxy? I was in a bad car wreck not even a year ago yet and 4 months ago I found out it has caused an incurable problem with my hip that causes me lots of pain. I can't ever relax cuz it hurts to sit down or lay. Anyway. It being this new and me recovering after being in a wheelchair for 90 days doing everything I can to keep a roof over my family and pay for two of my son's funerals over this. I can't afford to do surgeries or inj's. yet. They think cuz it's been 10 months I should be able to pay for it all when the reality of it is I'm in debt. Insurance covered 1/10 of the problems that wreck has caused, if that.
