Doctors In Pa That Prescribe Oxycodone

I need a doctor in the pgh area. I have had 11 back surgeries, chronic pain and anxiety. My pcp gave me a month to find one... Please help.

I'm trying to get back on my 10mg oxycodone. I'm on the 5mg. Do I need a referral or do they accept self referrals where I just bring my medical records and prescription history from the pharmacy?

That's bulls*** cause they just rewrote and redid the guideline in 2022 because they were too strict and no one could get there meds, especially chronic patients. All the good doctors are retired and gone. I'm in Jersey and my doc sucks. I can't even get through the month. I'm hoping I just get smoked by a car walking across the street. Honestly what's the point in living. Meanwhile I know others who are getting meds but won't help or share their doctor. I've been on meds for 12 years and all they wanna do is f***ing shots. I've been stabbed enough with shots and they don't work. I'm just over this whole s***.

Same in new jersey been on meds for over 10 years had a great doctor but he had a heart attack, I had to go back to my old doctor who would rather me suffer and withdraw, honestly I hope I just die soon ,this isn't living so what's the point

As I said before doctors don't make addicts, people make addicts.

But ever since they changed the law with opioids It makes it very difficult for people like us who truly have chronic pain issues to get medication that is needed to live a functional life. In my opinion, I think the doctors should not be held responsible for people who do NOT follow the dosage of their meds. I know all of US legit pain patients are willing to sign contracts and waivers. Unless people out there are chronic pain suffers they don't understand what it's like to suffer and not live your best life due to chronic pain. I was told that I will have to deal with my chronic pain the rest of my life but since my doctor retired. I have no relief, just Tylenol, and sadly it does not do much.

Wish all my people here on the med chat good luck with your health. I know it's a struggle but try your best to hang in there. We are all in this together.

I live in pa.And Have not found a good pain doctor my doctor retired 5 years ago and I been in misery ever since.Or further more any doctor willing to prescribe pain medication .It's very difficult living a limited life not being able to live fully like used to .The pain makes me very sick .Alot of times I'm laying in bed because I feel so bad.Does anyone know of a doctor in or around Central pennsylvania??

If you live in Phila area ;try the SEPA pain management company' You will need your regular Doc to send a letter and a copy of your MRIs; You have to thru a tough first interview; but if you make it; they will give you meds.

I totally agree with you about this doctor all you see is Physician Assistance and they think they know it all. I went to this place for 12 years and I have only seen and talked with a doctor 3 times. I have had enough I am looking for a new Pain Clinic.

Pain management puts you in different Pain categories. Hospitals & staff treat you differently as if you're searching for a high.

Hi,
I have same situation . I was on 30 mg oxycodone, 7 times a day until about 3 months ago.
I have many serious back issues, including a nagging bad disc that causes pain to shoot down my legs, It is really frustrated, I was told that I was on too much oxycodone, They raised it there ,the doc raised it to 30 mg 7 times a day. Now, I can only live with the pain. I am going to start looking for another pain doc.

Yes, I moved back to Florida & my primary care doc who understood that I wasnt a junky and never took anything but asprin,UNTIL this back surgery.. How they can let people lay and suffer is beyond me.. all in the name of saving big pharma from law suits.... if your sick, in pain, seems the only way to live in comfort is to go to the streets. sad but true.... thank goodness for a primary doc who knows me well and prescribes accordingly...
