hello so heres my question i am looking for a new pain management doctor in either the 5 borrows or in new jersey that prescribe roxycodone/oxycodone 30mg i currently have a doctor in staten island who was prescribing me 45 roxys bi weekly then uped me to 60 30mg roxys bi weekly now he has me coming in every week and lowered me to 20mg oxycodone 30 a week i told him this is not enough for me but he dosent listen to anything anybody says also i have a job and work 5 days a week he wants me to come in every friday but i cant because of work but when i tell him i cant come in every week because i have work let me come on a day i have off im going to loose my job he ignores me and just says its ok just come next week like im just some jerk off i also told him the 20s are not enough its not working im still in pain again he ignores me and says its ok just come in next week this guy does care he wants me to come in every week cause hes banking my insurance out with these weekly visits i never heard of any doctors prescibing this medication weekly or bi weekly almost every doctor does monthly visits... so what i need is a new doctor that is willing to prescribe me 30mg roxys and thats not going to judge me or just try to give me some other type of medication because i litterley have tryed every pain meds known to man and this is the only thing that acually works. i was in a bad car accident in 2008 and i have a slipped disk 3 buldging disks and a herniated disk in my lower back and with my job im on my feet all day long so my pain has got so much worse since then i cant stand longer then 2 hours at a time because mt whole back just starts locking up and the pain is there for hours even when i take my meds it takes a while to go away it sucks.. so another problem of me finding a new doc is because i am only 22 and most doctors are not willing to prescribe someone my age this medication so i need a doctor that will give me what i need without judgement and without trying to give me non narcotic pain meds or very low dose pain meds because there not going to workand i dont even want to waste my time and my insurances money. i am willing to travel to any of the 5 borrows, long island and even jersey as long as i can get a monthly script ill even do bi weekly but i cant do this with my current doctor i have an appointment friday and i dont feel like loosing a half day of work for 30 20mg oxys thats going to be finished in 3 days its not even worth it anymore i tryed talking to my doctor but dont listen to s*** that i say and it gets me really annoyed so please if anybody can help me with a new doc you dont know how much that would help thank you very very much any answers are greatly appreciated..thanks

Pain everyday, I appreciate your responses and I agree wholeheartedly that some of the people who are using medicine for all the wrong reasons are making it difficult for those who are documented chronic pain patients. Every patient should be treated individually... everyone has their own stories to tell. Some patients have had numerous surgeries. Also some people can die from withdrawals depending on other medical issues they have. I wish nothing but the best to everyone on this thread. The one person you have to be honest with first is yourself...all of us have been put in a cruel situation....no other Doctor wants to pick up Sloan's patients. What type of care are the patients getting. This whole situation stinks...

Beth, I feel responsible for all of the things that have transpired since I reached out for help. I am sorry too. Maybe if I checked my email, you and Kitty Moody wouldn't of had further discussions on my behalf. I've been so stressed trying to get the help my husband requires that I neglected to check for replies. Sisters stay united..we all need a little help now and then.

@Paineveryday, well stated. There is nothing wrong in keeping it real. Especially, on this board. There's many truths in your posts. Everything is not lollipops and roses. There is nothing wrong with calling a spade a spade. Some people here are absolutely ridiculous with some of their unbelievably stories. I am sorry, I don't think any doctor would be willing to lose their license to satisfy someone's drug habbit. So, giving the 411 at times is refreshing.

Beth, alrighty then...hmmmm. I don't think Ms Kitty meant to offend anyone. Sometimes it's hard to track the flow of response on the thread.

Beth, thank you for your reply and for providing the information to me for my husband. I have not checked my email until today. I will reach out to him. His practice is pretty far away. Thanks again, I appreciate it.

Beth, for some reason early this morning when I wrote my reply to try to help Busted, your reply with the updated number wasn't showing up on my feed using the mobile site. I wasn't trying to be rude to anyone, I was just trying to help if I could. I'm glad that you did indeed supply them with the correct number so her husband can get some help. Also, my username is my cat's name, no whatever involved. Thanks.

I did reply back to her so if you could look down through the feed a couple below this one you will see that I did two days ago.. and I even gave her the updated number because the number that you supplied isn't the correct number anymore thank you and have a nice day

Busted,

I've been following replies in this thread, and since Beth hasn't replied back to you, I decided to go back in the thread and find the information she posted that you need for your husband. Beth had previously posted that Dr. Weinstein's office number is 732-679-1111. He's closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and she said to call after 12 on Tuesdays, when his secretary Carol makes the appointments. She said to leave a message and call back again on Friday after 12 in the posts I found from her. I pray that your husband can get an appointment with him and be helped soon. Best of luck, God bless you both!

This had nothing to do with Dr Rand. I seen Dr Sloan in his midtown office between 5th n Madison ave. not in NJ where I live. I didn't even know he opened n office in Wayne. However the DEA and the IRS has been after Sloan for years. He told me they would try n intimidate him by coming into the office with their handcuffs n guns but he never backed down from taking care of his patients. I have been seeing him since 2011 n he was always strict n let the deadbeats go. They have been after him for years. The DEA went to all the pharmacies n underhandedly threatened them if they filled his scripts which resulted in a lot of pharmacy a filling his scripts. The DEA is nothing but bullies but why punish the Drs? Why not punish the pharmaceutical companies that make the s***!!! Just for some of you after the posts I read, you can't go into a Drs office n tell them you WANT oxycodone 30's cause that's just a sign to them that u are drug seeking. I have been to 1 dr that has refused me because I was sloans patient but he did give me another dr that will help me. I have been on my meds since 2003 with not raising them since 2007. Some of the bad people make it super hard for those of us with real issues here n that's just f***ed up. The person who is 22 n just wants the Oxy 30's after being told he needs surgery but thinks he's to young for surgery, you don't think your to young to become addicted to this s***? It's a life of hell. I am dependent to get out of bed everyday to just function. There is a difference in addiction and dependence. It's hell because it's the Drs, pharmacies and insurance companies running your life. My life n vacations have to be planned around my scripts n God forbid something like this happens which it did because I am supposed to leave on my cruise my yearly vacation on sept 9th in which I may just have to walk away from n lose all that money because it's under 30 days cancelling the trip. Is this really what u want to live like? Not for you guys truly in pain but the drug seekers that screw it up for those who really need them. I have 2 failed cervical spine and lumbar spine fusions along with auto immune (lymes) that I have to deal with. I can't enjoy my 1st grandchild without my meds so that has suffered this last week. So for u guys not really in pain and just looking for a dr that gives you "blues" get lost and make something with your lives instead of selling these so u don't have to work!! You even come on here complaining that Sloan dropped u because u didn't have ur bottle because u "lost" ur script. Well Drs can see right through that. Your not very smart! Ok my rant is over. I'm just pissed at seeing posts of people just looking for Drs who will prescribe them Oxy 30's. That's the biggest red flag of any dr around!! Stop screwing it up for real people in pain. This isn't directed at the person who posted this. Just wanted u to know it wasn't Dr Rand they were after.

You can't die from drug withdrawal so don't fear that. From alcohol withdrawal yes u can die but not drug withdrawal. If he gets really sick get suboxene til he finds a dr

Beth is it Allan Weinstein or S. Weinstein. I am trying to helping my husband out as he was a patient with Dr. Sloan. And Dr. Rand is the owner of the practice and he will not even write a 30 day script for all these patients, just Suboxone. My husband has no medicine left today and I fear for his life. Can you help me out with clarification on which Dr. Weinstein and where he's at. Is he the one in Old Bridge, NJ. Please write me back....

Beth, I guess you go to Dr. Weinstein then.... what's his first name and possibly his office location? I am acquiring information so I can help my poor husband before something bad happens as there is no more Dr. Sloan and Dr. Rand will only write Suboxone.

The office in Manhattan, on 46th, where Dr. Sloan worked, this office said that if you were not a New York patient those other Doctor's that worked with him will not take any of Dr. Sloan's patients. This is a fact.... I know people that called over there. This is a mess. Dr. Dov Rand will not help out all these patients with a 30 day script until patients can find another pain management doctor. Dr. Rand will only be prescribing Suboxone and the first visit is $375.00 and then $175.00 a month thereafter just for Suboxone. God help all these patients... somebody can possibly die from withdrawals. There's so many elderly patients there too. My God this is awful.

Who are his NY colleagues that won't see Wayne patients? I was a by patient n still can't get anyone to see me cause I was sloans patient. I don't know what he did in Wayne, he'll I didn't even know he had an office in NJ as I live in NJ but seen Sloan for 4 years in his my office. Don't understand how he was arrested as he was VERY strict with his NY office!!
