I keep reading that you should start at the 10mg dosage but my doctor prescribed me the 25mg to start. Is this normal and ok? Right now I am taking 2.5mg glipizide and my fasting blood sugars are running around 100-120. She also didn't tell me if I should stop glipizide when starting Jardiance.

Usually, Jardiance is taken along with your other diabetes medication, but you should double check with your doctor to be sure.
I'd suggest also consulting them to be sure about the dosage, since you are correct, it is usually started at the 10mg dosage.

It's typical side effects may include nausea, dizziness, hypoglycemia, increased urination, and dehydration.
