Hi, kindly help I have a friend who is paranoid and has been taking D.P.H. syrup for +- six months, he says it helps him to calm down, are there any side effects he is getting worse on his condition Regards Khantu ## Hello, Khantu! How is your friend doing? This syrup is listed as containing Diphenhydramine, it is an antihistamine that's used to treat allergic reactions, anxiety and as a sleep aid. Its typical side effects may include nausea, dizziness and dry mouth. If his condition is worsening, he should consult a doctor for help. It could be dangerous if he keeps taking more and more of this to handle his symptoms. Is there anything else I can help with?

How many two take at a time for adult an swhT happen if you take 3 ## Hi Kelia, From what I could gather, this light blue oblong pill is an OTC antihistamine / sleep aid containing 25mgs of Diphenhydramine hydrochloride. Ref: Discuss/light-blue-oblong-pill-263-half-circle-and-line-183407.htm I don't know what would happen if you take 3, but personally I wouldn't advise taking anything more than what the directions state on the box; unless given the O-K through your doctor. If the recommended dose doesn't suffice, it may just be a good idea to look into other forms of antihistamines or sleep aids, depending on what you're using it for...

i found a tiny little white pill with nothing but the letter S on it, what is it? ## Hi kristi, Is there by chance a letter "S" on each side of the pill, or is it just on one side? And if it is only on one side, is there a score line on the other side? - This appears to be the deciding factor between the two possible matches I have come across. If there is a letter "S" on each side of the pill then the round white pill is a 25mg Sominex sleep aid pill; the active ingredient being Diphenhydramine. If there is an "S" on only one side with a score line on the other, then the pill is more than likely a 50mg Serophene tablet. Serophene is a fertility drug used to increase the chance of getting pregnant. It is used to help women ovulate (produce a mature egg) properly ...

Diphenhydramine HCI 25 mg-Night time sleep-aid ## Hello, Nicolle! How are you? While it is used as a sleep aid, because it causes drowsiness as a side effect, this is actually an antihistamine. This is the same active ingredient that's found in Benadryl and used to treat allergic reactions. Other side effects may also include dizziness and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Is this good for Flem in the lungs and throat. Thanks

I found a drawer full of small pink, oblong pills, with a v inside and oval on one side and 25 on the back. please identify ## I've been looking for this one, off an on as time permits, since I first saw your post, but I can't find anything listed under this imprint in the U.S. prescription drug databases. Was it found in the U.S. or elsewhere? There are several possibilities, it could be something that is new to the market and hasn't been listed in the databases, yet. It could be an over the counter product, since they aren't required to list their imprints with the FDA. Or it could be a foreign medication. Does anyone else recognize this tablet? I will keep checking our site, as well as a few others and post back, if I find anything. ## hello i found the same pills on ...

I've came across a blueish Oblong pill with imprint only on one side S4. Can someone please tell me what it could be? ## Hi Robert, Based on your description the closest match I'm finding is a 25mg Diphenhydramine hydrochloride tablet, that is a pink oblong/oval pill with S4 on one side and blank on the other. Apparently it is manufactured by Himprit Pharma Chem, out of india. I also came across a 10mg Simvastatin, red oblong/oval pill with S4 on one side and blank on the other. This one happens to be manufactured by Accord Healthcare. I realize that the color is off on the two pills I just mentioned, but still wanted to post their details in case you or any other readers desired to contact either of these manufacturers, in order to determine whether or not they make a blue vers...

Can I took this with winter cold.It the only thing I got I. My him? ## Hello, Amanda! How are you? This tablet is manufactured by Major Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 25mgs of Diphenhydramine. The FDA classifies this medication as an antihistamine that is most commonly used to treat allergic reactions and induce sleepiness. Its typical side effects may include dizziness, drowsiness, blurry vision and dry mouth. It is doubtful that it will help much with cold symptoms, since a cold doesn't involve histamines. Have you spoken to your doctor?

I am out of my visteril and can't get it refilled, is there anything I can take to help take the place to help with the side effects of withdrawal ? ## Hello, Linda! How are you? Have you discussed it with your doctor? They may be able to refill it and help you. There are some antihistamines available over the counter, such as Diphenhydramine and Meclizine, but they aren't as potent and effective as Vistaril, which is why it's a prescription only medication. They may also cause side effects, as listed by the FDA, that may possibly include dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and weight changes. Is there anything else I can help with?

I've been taking it & didn't know I was pregnant. Could this harm my baby in any kind of way? ## Hello, Ash! How are you? Congratulations on the baby! This tablet is manufactured by Woonsocket and they list it as containing 25mgs of Diphenhydramine, which is used to treat allergies and insomnia. Typical side effects, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include dizziness, drowsiness and dry mouth. And the FDA places this medication in pregnancy category B, which means there is no known/proven risk in humans. However, it would be best to make sure your doctor is aware that you were taking it. Is there anything else I can help with?

this is a liquid filled capsule with no other markings excpet P30 (there is no space between the P and 30) ## I'm not sure but I found the same pill in my medicine cabinet today. If you do find out, please email me at {edited for privacy} Thanks a lot, and good luck! ## Unfortunately this gel cap is not coming up on any of the standard imprint references. This means it is most likely an over-the-counter medication; OTCs are not regulated the way that prescription medications are such that their imprint codes are not required to be catalogued. There is a chance this medication may be from Walgreen's because a related discussion thread for a was identified as Wal-Som (Diphenhydramine 50 mg) from Walgreens. With that said, it has also been reported that the P30 gel cap was found i...

little gel blue pill, hard liquid, but still a gel pill, what is it? with A99 on one side. ## This is an over the counter sleep-aid that contains 50mgs of Diphenhydramine. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and dizziness. Learn more: Are there any questions or comments? ## WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THIS DRUG IS MIXED WITH ALCOHOL? Any other dangerous side effects? Thanks ## @Very concerned You die. ## I take this with Alcohol once or twice a week. You don't die. Diphenhydramine is Benadryl. It is used as a sleep aid as well, and Alcohol will amplify the effects of it. While taking the recommended dose (25-50mg), you'll just get buzzed quicker and fall asleep faster. ## It's not good for your liver to drink on them

I'm tested at my work. I can't have anything mind altering at all including products such as st johns wart or diphenhydramine. There are supplements that have chaste tree and rhodiola extract in them. I don't know if they are considered mind altering. I'm even wondering how a lab can test for herbs such as St. John's wart. I'm not taking it but can they test for such things? Many thanks

Is this safe for a person with Type 2 Diabetes? I think it is loaded with sugars but cannot find any exact information about this. I think it might be the reason my sugar count has been up for the past month. I have a problem staying asleep and have been using zzzquil for the past month or so and it seems to help, but if it is keeping my sugar count high I'll have to stop taking it. ## Hello, Larry! How are you? One of the inactive ingredients is high fructose corn syrup, which could raise your sugar levels, especially if you're sensitive to it, as some people tend to be. If you need a sleep aid that doesn't contain it, the active ingredient in this is just Diphenhydramine, 50mgs per dose. Diphenhydramine is available by itself in Benadryl and its generics, as well as in pro...

How are you? If there are no markings on it, it is most likely an over the counter product. There are some Diphenhydramine capsules that match this description, they are a generic or store brand of Benadryl, which is used to treat allergies. I'm not certain, but I'll do some more looking and post back, when I have more information for you. Does anyone else have any idea of what this contains?
