how long after injecting a 8mg pill of dilaudid will it show up in a urine drug screen ## Dilaudid contains the active ingredient Hydromorphone, which is a narcotic and like most other narcotic opiates, it is detectable on standard urine screens for approximately 4 days, after use. The time frame however, is not exact, because it will vary depending on your individual metabolism, how often you've taken it, your fluid intake, activity levels, overall health and many other factors. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Ism a 34 year old female at 200 ponds.I did heroin one time 12 days ago and I was dirty for my urine screen.I am in a methadone clinic.I was wondering what I can do or say?I also wanted to know why it was still in my system?PLEASE HELP!!! ## I injected a 4mg dilaud...

ARE THESE PILLS REALLY HABIT FORMING Ms. SMITH ## Yes, everything you've listed as opiate narcotics, so the FDA warns that they carry the risk of being habit forming, and may cause other side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, constipation, and headache. How are you doing, now? Are you on any other medications?

need info on 8mg dilaudid and what might be a good medication for breakthrough pain while taking this med every 2 hours. please help. ive been on oxycontin & roxycodone and cant find them anymore thats why i changed to dilaudid. please help. ## Opana Ir Or Er im sure an Opana 40 Er would would cover your pain if not try Morphine, I prefer morphone. Hydro-morphone= dilaudid. Oxy-morphone=Opana. I say Opana is ATLEAST equal to an Oc 80. Fentayln patches also work great as well as liquid Morphine Sulfate. Mainly for Iv but can be ingested. ## YEs, if you're on the regular release formulation, you may want to ask your doctor about using the time release formulation for longer pain control. As was already mentioned, it's called Opana ER. Does anyone else have any ideas to add? ##...

I took 2mg of dilaudid following a painful medical procedure. Before my appointment I had taken .25 mg of clonopin in hopes that it would relax me and make my appointment less painful. I was not planning on taking anything afterwards, but the pain was so severe which led me to take the 2 mg of dilaudid. Will I be alright? ## They are sometimes prescribed together, but the safety of your taking them both is ultimately up to your doctor. How are you doing? Did you experience any adverse effects? The FDA warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, irritability, dry mouth, and constipation.

Can the m 2 pill be cut in half and taken? Is it a time release? Is this pill the smallest dosage usually prescribed? ## No, this is not a time released tablet, so it could be cut, if you wish, unless your doctor or pharmacist has specifically told you not to do so. And yes, this is the lowest dosage available in the tablets, it contains 2mgs of the Hydromorphone, which is the active ingredient in Dilaudid, this is actually a generic medication. It is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Learn more Dilaudid details here. Are there any other questions or concerns? ## I found a white pill with M2 on it inside of a bottle that said "hydromorphone, generic for Dila...

what is the length of duration, strength and usage of 30mg morhpine compared to 8mg Dilaudid? ## Everyone's body reacts differently to different types of opiates. For me, 30mgs of Morphine doesn't do much for my pain, buts does make me neauseus. On the other hand, 8mgs of Dilauded helps control my pain well for 3 to 6 hours. ## It can also depend on the specifics of each medication, are either of them time released or are they regular release? The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. When I was on MS Contin, the time released version of Morphine, I couldn't stay awake, it was horrible.

My wife has really bad nausea. I would like to know if it is from the Dilaudid or Fentanyl or both. She is on 125 mcg/h Fentanyl per 72 hours and 4-8mg Dilaudid per day. LR ## I have a three year battle with severe abdominal pain which all started due to internal bleeding from a ruptured cyst. I have been on all sorts of pain medications. Currently I am on Fentanyl 100mg patchs and Dilaudid 4 mg. They used to work great but now it seems like only the IV dilaudid will give me any relief. I constantly have to go to the ER for pain management and I hate going due to the fact that I live in a small town which and the some doctors think that all I want is pain medication.there is such a big stigma about being on pain meds.has there been anything eles that anyone could recomend I am really de...

Need a picture of an 8 mg dilaudid / hydromorphone pill ## Hello, Lando! How are you? I'm sorry, but there are quite a few on the market, since this medication is available as both a name brand and a generic, so I can't post all the descriptions for you. What are the markings on the tablet in question? If you can post back with more information, I will gladly check for you to see what the tablet contains. Thank you! This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## Is there a dilauded that is round, light green, has a line across one side and no letters or numbers on either side but has a outline of a woman head or it's a fancy U or A? ## There are no Dil...

I am searching for information on how dilaudid compares with oxycodone ## white pill with m on front, no. 5771 ## For the first poster, Oxycodone is the strongest narcotic pain killer on the market that you can get in pill form. While Dilaudid is really a stronger medication, it is considered so dangerous that it is only available by prescription in a max of 10mgs, so for those who suffer chronic pain, the only option available in pill form to provide sufficient pain relief is Oxycodone. ## Gary, M 5771 is Methadone 10mgs, generic for Dolophine. The side effects for this are similar to those of other narcotics. ## Diladuid is not that strong once you get used to it. Whoever told you you can only get a script for 10 mg's at a time in not informed. I get180 4 mg. pills a month with 90...

Hey everyone, im recently cutting down from 16mg of dilaudid every 3-4 hrs to im at 4mg every 4 hrs now. Ive been on dilaudid for 10 months for a tumor that went undiagnosed for 8 months. Most doctors thought i was just drug seeking because they couldnt find out what was causing my pain, so im relieved they finally found something and i had it removed and i feel so much better. Now all my other problems are solved except for the dilaudid dependance. Any tips on getting off this stuff. It gets extremely unbearable after just 5 hours from the last dose. I know i dont need it for pain anymore, i just want to be off everything and back to normal. Any help would be appreciated. ## Hey, that's all normal. I'm in the same boat but w/oxycodone. Anyone who's not an opiate user (and e...

I have been taking dilaudid 8 mg 3 times a day for degenerative disc disease. It seems that I have been in more pain than when I was taking Vicodin. I have muscle and joint pain. My legs and feet hurt really bad sometimes it hurts to walk. I have tried telling my doctor but he just looks at me with this blank look on his face. Does anyone else have these symptoms? ## I have recently been taking Dilaudid in very small doses and I, too, notice that I have muscle and joint aches and pains which are more severe than when not taking the drug. I am curious to know if it is a recognized side effect. ## I dont think that it is a reconized sign for dilaudid, but my dr finally took me off of it and gave me oxycodone witch works much better for me and I am not in so much pain everywhere! ## I will...

want to oder dilaudid from known sites uderground. ## If your intent is to order medications that require a prescription, then there is no guaranteed safe and legal way to do so outside of the standard "doctor-visit" procedures. There are many more hazards involved when you order online from a non-legitimate site; such as not receiving what you ordered and just being scammed out of your money, or getting something that isn't even the medication you ordered (and you end up accidentally taking it). Not too long ago there were quite a few posts on this site from a number of people that had each ordered different medications from the same company, but they had all received the same exact pills from them, so there is no possible way they were actually getting what they should hav...

I lost my disability 6 months ago. The two state dr.'s I was sent to was a joke. The judge would not read the records from my pain doctor. My attorney has filed a wrongful case act against all three but said it could take up to two years before they even begin to look at my file. I started out on morphine drip in 2001. In June 2009, they changed me to dilaudid because I was on too much morphine a day. Even though it did little for my pain, it was still better than laying in the bed. Now, I have lost my insurance and my pain dr. dropped me like a hot potato. He said he could keep his practice going based on charity. LOVELY. I am now on my way down HARD. I don't think I can do this on my own and I don't want my 17 year old son who has heart problems and high blood pressure to ...

It has been hard mentally and physically but I was able to take it UNTIL I suddenly got the most unbareable stomach cramping! It feels like I have a brick and a beach ball fighting in my gut and niether can get out! Nothing has helped and after about about 24 hours I had to go to hospital and get them ...

I have been taking 3 to 4 8mg (24-32mgs) Dilaudid pills at 1 time usually around 3:00pm everyday for about 2 1/2 years now for back and nerve damage and would like to know the best way, medication, and dosage to get off this drug, also how long and how bad I will feel detoxing. The only time I have energy and feel good is the 2 or 3 hours after taking the drugs. Every muscle and bone in my body aches like I have a severe case of arthritis , i'm sleepy-but can't sleep an entire night, get a runny nose, yawn constantly and tired. I just want to feel normal again. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. 50 ## Wow, I am very sorry to hear about your problem. I WANT TO KNOW WHAT 8 KMGS OF DILAUDID LOOKS LIKE ## Dilaudid is a narcotic pain reliever that contains the active ingredient Hydromorphone. The name brand 8mg Dilaudid tablet is white, it is shaped like a triangle, with rounded corners, it has a number 8 on on side and on the opposite side it has a logo of two triangles, with rounded corners that are separated by a score line. There are two others, that are also considered name brands, but they are manufactured by subsidiary companies, the pills are both white and shaped the same as the one I described above, however one has the marking PP (one p is upside down) on the scored side, with an 8 on the other and the other tablet has aa on the scored side and an 8 on the other. If none of these match that tablet in question, please post bac...

I wear a drug patch and have been to the ER for my back. I was given shots of dilaudid, demerol and valium. I also take soma and vicodin. They said I tested positive for morphine. Will the drug patch come back as morphine? ## I was just tested and my Dr said that my fentynol levels and my oxy levels were low but morphine was high. I don't take morphine but chewed on a few patches the days leading up to the test. Was wondering if that's what causes the morphine in my u.a.

I have severe stabbing pain in my shoulder. When the pain starts my blood pressure shoots to 220/140 with a 133 pulse. I was prescribed Hydrocodone and sometimes if I don't get a severe attack it works. If I have a big attack I have Dilaudid prescribed as well. Question: If a take a Norco and the pain increases do I need to wait the full 6 hours to take a Dilaudid; or, what's the soonest I can take it? ## What are the prescribing instructions?
