No registration is required and your identity remains anonymous. It's very very small, and it is pinkish-salmonish. I also see a few marble type splotches that are a little whitish. It has a P on one side, nothing on the other. I tried putting a small piece on my tongue, it has a chalky, very mildly bitterness to it. I was informed that they may be dilaudid... but when i google it, all of the small pinkish pills have a P on one side, with a 2 on the other... since the ones i have don't have a 2 on the other side i was wondering if these are actually dilaudid, and if maybe they are just generic ones which is why there is no 2?? Or is this something completely different?.. I have had them for about a week now and have really wanted to figure this out.
Updatedi have a prescription for dilaudid (generic) 8 mg for a stage 4 cancer victim. i have called about 25 drug stores & nobody has it in stock! it's friday evening & i don't know what else to do. this poor guy is going to suffer all weekend until i can find his dilaudid. can anyone advise me on what to do? HELP!! ## i was taking 6-8 mg dalaudids a day or 180 a month for the past three years and have finally weaned my self completely off those pills which was the hardest thing i have ever done. the 24 hour walgreens and cvs in conroe, tx. carries them. ## Kakin, the primary problem here is that you are calling the pharmacies. When you call, they have no way of knowing if you are actually a customer looking for a medication that you need filled or if you are someone who is goi...
My dr switched my oxycodone 30mg to dilaudid 8 mg. I am wondering how they compare to one another? ## Based on my research, Dilaudid is much stronger then Oxycodone, but it doesn't last very long in it's immediate release formula. Oxycodone has an extended release formula (Oxycontin); which may be better suited for some people when used chronically for long term pain relief. 8mg of Dilaudid is "roughly equivalent" to 20mg of Oxycodone. This information is based on my own findings and is not relative to each individual's body chemistry or cross tolerance, as every drug can effect each person differently. I hope this info helps! ## what mg of dilaudid is equal to 15 mg of oxycodone? ## 16MG of dilaudid(2 8mg tabs) is equal to 30mg oxycodone. Swallowing dilaudid is way ...
I have a small yellow round pill with sw com on one side and 4 on the other. I haven't found it on any websites. Please help immediately ## Sounds like Daladid 4 mg. May be spelled wrong. ## A round yellow pill with "P 4" is Dilaudid, so I don't think it could be that. Worth the investigation though! Unfortunately I haven't found any matches for a "sw com 4" imprint. Where did you get it from if you don't mind my asking? Also, is there any chance that the markings are being read backwards or upside down? Just trying to cover all angles here. Thanks for your feedback! ## I believe it's Japanese valium. Sounds like it was ordered online because you won't get a prescription for it in the US.
my mother has cancer and she is in alot of pain .She will not take morphine is dilaudid a good med for her so she dose not have to be in pain all the time but still be able to get around without being to ...lets say buzzed and do some of her daily things ## Dilaudid contains the active ingredient Hydromorphone, it is also pretty potent, so it may also cause the high, buzzed feeling. However, such side effects should start to taper off as her body adjusts to the medication, which usually takes about 4 to 6 weeks. She may also experience drowsiness, nausea and constipation. You can learn more about the active ingredient here: Another analgesic she may want to consider is the Fentanyl patch, its time released, so it works over a period of 3 days. Has her doctor made any other suggestions? ...
Opiates available on prescription: (all IR PO-oral): Eqivalent of 30mg oxycodone is 10-22mg hydromorphone, 80mg morphine sulphate (best brandname Sevredol one each 50-20-10mg, dipipanone (Diconal) 30mg, dextromoramide (Palfium) 30mg, heroin hydrochloride oral 25mg (but like morphine bioavailability only c.50%). Hydromorphone instant release in UK available only as Palladone (SR is heavily favoured) caps 1.3/2.6mg. I take FIVE capsules (13mg). I have tried US hydromorph by Mallinckrodt (by far best value) & Abbott (which mmy body seems to uptake a little better). Many of my American friends opine that Mallinckrodt use excipients which slow down uptake of the API but my friend is always asking me to get US friends to get scripted hydrocodone/apap 10/325mg as she finds it helps her bac...
Does Dilaudid Show Up As Morphine or an opiate on a 5-Test SAMHSA Drug Test ## Dilaudid contains the active ingredient Hydromorphone, it is a narcotic opiate and will be detected as exactly that in drug tests. Learn more Dilaudid details here. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I need help as I'm confused about all this. I've never heard of hydromorphone until a week ago! My husband takes morphine sulfate, tramadol, trazadone and hydrocodone. Yes alot of medication, I know, however he has alot of problems and needs surgery but has been putting it off so he wouldn't have to take a medical leave of absence from work. Now they did a random urine drug test which has never been a problem so we never anticipated a phone call advising my husband he has been fired because hy...
I have been taking Excalgo, 12 mg, every morning. Also, dilaudid 4 mg, 3 times a day for break through pain. Most of my doctors appt. are in the morning. I take the Excalgo about 1hour or so before my appt. For the past 2 months, my doctor is telling me that it is not in my urine test. HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE? My appt. last week, he completely had taken my pain meds away, leaving me to deal with severe pain and withdrawal from the meds. I have been on pain meds, for over 20 years, my dose goes up, goes down, or meds get changed. I have scoliosis, and was fused when I was younger. Over the years, and after giving childbirth, it progressively gotten worse. I had to leave my job as a secretary/stenographer for 18 years, because I could not sit for any period of time. I was seen by a surgeon i...
I took one 5 mg. Dilaudid on Tuesday at around 8-9pm in the evening. I was just called in, with a 24 hour window, to do a RANDOM urine screen at my methadone clinic. I have to be there by Friday at 11 am. I know the standard is 4-5 days, but I have read that it can be out of your system at 3 days as well. If I drink a lot of water, and take vitamins (so that my urine will not be too clear, and this does work at my particular clinic) do I stand a chance of providing a CLEAN sample. So Tuesday evening..............sample on Friday by 11 am. Also, I am a 6 level patient, meaning I have all of my carries, I have done quite well............this was a very random, stupid mess up. ## I was told by my sons friend he took dilaudid if I drug test him, what should it come positive for? I believe h...
I went to the hospital and they gave me Dilaudid and Ativan through my I.V. How long do these stay in your system? One shot of Ativan and through out the night 3 shots of Dilaudid. ## I have been taking oxycodone 5/325 for a while now. I took 24mg of dilaudid over 3 day period. I took my lady one on Thursday evening and have a 12 panel urine drug screen test on Monday morning. Will it be out of my system? Thank you ## No...its an ER opiate takes atleast two weeks to pass
Is it safe to give Dilaudid to patient who is on Levocarb 100/25, 12 pills daily and Levocarb CR 100/25, 6 pills daily? ## Hello, Janie! How are you? I didn't find any problems or interactions listed between these medications, but the final decision is always up to the patient and their doctor. The FDA classifies Dilaudid as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Are these the only medications they are on?
so she couldnt find the hydros and found a 30 mg oxycodone and did two using iv. than the next day did two hydros 8's using the same method as before. she also had not been using the oxycodone bc she had the hydros and only used the 30's bc that is all she could find. she went and bought a home drug test the kind in the cup that you turn on it's side. and it showed up positive for oxycodone and positive for opiates. it's understandable why the oxy showed up but why would it show positive for opi? all she did that week was suboxene oxycodone and hydromorphine. also she did some reseaarch and it said that dilaudid does show up as an opiaite so this is very confusing. ## Usually a home urine drug test is not going to show dilaudid (hydromorphone). The opiate that most home ...
I am a 40 year old male.I have been taking 36mg of Dilaudid mixed with 120mg of Methadone, every day for 2 and 1/2 years. The sad part of this is that I do it by way of IV.I am scared to death everyday that my sources will dry up and I will be stuck going cold turkey.Based on the doses I mentioned above.Does anyone seem to think I could die from the withdrawals.I was cut off for 3 days a month or so ago and I felt like I was going to die. What a relief when I got them back after that.I have survived 2 different bouts of cold turkey (5 years ago) from large doses of benzos. This was before I had any idea that it is more dangerous than coming off of opioids. It was a total nightmare for 2 weeks solid with no food just small sips of water was all I could ingest.I was on a couch for 14 days stra...
I take 2MG dilaudid normally for severe pain. Ran out on vacation the pharmacy I went to wouldn't still my script cause it was from another state. My sister in law gave me two 1mg I said I never heard of a 1mg. Anyone ever heard of a 1mg? ## Hello, Michelle64! How are you? What are the markings on them? That is what would enable them to be identified for you. And no, there is no 1mg tablet available on the U.S. market. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
I've been taking 8-12mg dilaudid daily in 2-3 doses. It's been 27 hrs since my last dose and I'm feeling it. The feelings of emptiness and hopelessness are overwhelming me. I've been crying all day. When will these feelings go away :( ## It may take several weeks for things to improve. Other withdrawal effects you may experience, as described by the FDA, may include rebound pain, nausea, fever and chills. Has there been any change, yet?
My mom is in the hospital & is being given Dilaudid through her PCA. She thinks she's allergic to the medication. Is there any other pain med given in a PCA/IV form she could try? ## What types of problems is she having that makes her think she's allergic to it? Dilaudid is a very potent narcotic and usually the first line choice in most hospitals now for IV pain relief. However, there is a difference between being allergic to something and suffering from side effects. If she is allergic, someone in the hospital caring for her would have noticed immediately, because there'd be signs such as swelling, skin rash and difficulty breathing. Learn more Dilaudid details here. However, if she's just suffering from dizziness, drowsiness, nausea and other similar symptoms, tho...
what else can I take. Having major surgery on ankle/foot next week, dr soaks it will be painfully. Can't take above drugs. any other suggestions. lira tab gives me headaches. ## Hello, Jack! How are you? What problems do you have with the Dilaudid and Percocet? Other options include Opana and Morphine, in the opiate category. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
Please someone give me a pharmacy that is legally able to fill C-2s for FL. ## Any pharmacy that has them in stock can legally fill a valid and legal prescription for them. The problem in Florida is that a major distributor was recently shut down, so most pharmacies don't have any in stock and are having trouble getting more, since a new distributor hasn't taken over, yet. However, if you have been told by some that they can't legally fill yours, then there may be a problem with the prescription itself. There are limits on how many your doctor can prescribe each month. Did you happen to ask why they can't fill it? Learn more Dilaudid details here. ## I know exactly why no body wants to fill anything, anywhere, and there is no distribution problem or limit a doctor can gi...
I was hit by a car 5 weeks ago and have lots of pelvis breaks and breaks in my sacrum, spine, and hip. While in the hospital I was given morphine iv then dilaudid iv. Then I was switched to a pill form of dilaudid. 2mg every 2 hours. Then every four hours. Now it's every four as needed. I started taking more than prescribed so they would work cause my body built up a tolerance. I need to stop but I'll wake up at night with restless leg syndrome and can only fall back asleep if I take one. How do I wean myself off? I have 10 left to last me till my next appointment 6 days from now. Then my doctor will give me a small refill of that or a less intense narcotic. ## Hello, Vee! How are you? I'm sorry about your injuries, that's horrible! The best way to stop taking it is via ...
I took eight dilaudid in one day, last dose at around seven oclock on a Thursday. Monday I peed hot. is it a false positive or was I satill dirty. ## This is obviously an old post but Wow this person expected to pass a urinalysis in 3 days after taking '8' dilaudids! thats just too many. 3 days is not a definite rule of thumb for everything! look up its half life and you take in consideration the amount used, & in some cases the route used, and the person's metabolism and diet & fluids. Even other medications a person is on can metabolize certain other medications quicker. I just wish people wouldn't put so much on the line relying solely on a very generic theory. I'm not saying it's impossible to rid your body of a substance in 3 days, just don't gam...
