Dificid Reviews

Anyone on Dificid for c-diff? Is it working for you? How are the side effects and how long does it take to work? This is possibly my second c-diff infection and I'm waiting for the test results. I'm really scared as I hear this infection can be deadly. My med for my first infection was Flagyl. Please help me ease my anxiety.

Hi Janet,

Sorry to hear about the C. diff infection. I pray that you get well soon! While I haven't experienced anything quite like that, I did see a comment from a (alleged) pharmacist stating that Dificid (fidaxomicin) should start to work within a few days. So maybe you just need to take it for a little while longer before it can kick into full gear?

As far as side effects go, someone's who actually taken it may have a better idea of what to expect, but at the same time I don't think there's any way of knowing before hand whether or not you will even experience any side effects despite how someone else might respond to it, since they tend to affect each person differently...
