I'm type II diabetic and I have been waiting over 10 months to try this product out to lower my morning blood sugar count so I wouldn't have to start shooting insulin. It dropped my morning reading which has been steady at 165 to 115! I take metformin and glipizide but had to quit actos because of a similar problem as I have encountered with the Belviq. My legs retain and swell up with water. I also developed water blisters varying from 1/4" to the size of a quarter. Became uncomfortable and also itched. I quit taking Belviq and the symptoms went away. After a week of being OK I started taking Belviq again and had the same problems. I read in the descriptions that this drug induces weight gain. My condition is osteoarthritis. The lower part of the prosthesis has moved and the pain is more or less constant. An operation to change the affected part has been recommended. Nolotil has been recommended meantime as well as trying to lose weight of course, yet I read that Nolotil is a weight inducer! Horrors!

I have to take random drug tests as the pilot of a river boat, and I can not take narcotics and I don't no how to find out if this is one I should not take. I was given phentermine from my doctor for three months. Any regular MD in your area should be able to prescribe this for you. So it may just be a matter of changing doctors if your current physician doesn't agree with its use.
